Diplomat Nanny

She’s a U.S. government diplomat, y’all!

Cancer survivor Fran “the Nanny” Drescher will be appointed as a public diplomacy envoy by U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Educational and Cultural Affairs, Goli Ameri, on Monday.

Diplomat Drescher will join past envoys baseball star Cal Ripkin Jr. and ice skater Michelle Kwan.

Her duties will include working with health organizations and women’s groups to raise awareness of women’s health issues, cancer awareness and detection, and patient empowerment and advocacy.
