Rhianna the new Britney Spears? Give me a break, she sucks live. I find her completely repulsive. Jordin Sparks was annoying. Just because someone has sex does NOT make them a slut. Russell Brand was genious, and the american public wasn't accepting of his brand of humour simply because he made JOKES about the jonas brothers, which has been done by other people several other times
and perez, tokio hotel won because they have VERY dedicated fans. They;ve worked very hard and they deserve it.
The show was an upgrade from the recent years. Although, they coulda woulda shoulda opened it with Lil Wayne instead of Rihanna, IMO. You should fart more often, PEREZ LOL! that was quite a moment and we prolly won't EVER hear you do that again!

Worst VMAs so far… Rihanna sucked, whats with the outfit? Kanye… sounded like a robot, electronic. Britney - looked great, Pink - awesome… T.I - cool. Hmmm, lets see, who else was there… Jonas Bros. - didnt really like them… i think they need a haircut
(they do have great voices though), Lil Wayne did hes thing… - good performer, i liked Christina as well. As for the UK host, horrible.. dumb jokes, obnoxious, got on my nerves the minute he started talking, when he shut up - i said to myself, "thank God." VMAs this year, it was 2 painful 2 watch… Get Jimmy Fallon next year, and include some real artists, find a better location… etc.
The only things I liked about the show was you, Britney (plus she was with Adman G _ and you DIDNT MENTION IT!!!) Paris&Benji, Pink and Christina. I hated how Katie Perry was pre-empted with a commercial and HATED Rhiannas opening. I LOVE that song, but it was just dead and weird. I didnt like Russell Brand either. I thought he SUCKED. Too bad Jamie Fox didn't stay out longer. I just felt like the show was subpar especially for the 25th Anniversary. Not impressed at all. Even afterwards seemed DULL. This year SUCKED. They need to STAY IN NYC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

for the past few years the vma's has been going downhill and last night's show was a testament to that.i think that britney spears looked great and it is also great that she is getting her life back on track but she did not, by any means, deserved to win three awards especially video of the year.maybe it is a cultural thing, but i did not find russel brand to be funny at all, at times he was actually annoying.also i feel like the vmas just keep getting smaller and smaller, what's up with the small venue?do me a favor mtv…bring the vmas back to new york city and bring back chris rock!!!!!!

As for that virginity ring thing, I don't get it. Why do young stars feel the need to use virginity as publicity? For the longest time, Britney pretended to be a virgin, when in fact, she started having sex at 14. To choose to have sex or not is very personal. I prefer someone who has lost his or her virginity without being married than someone who has lied about it to please people.

What would have made this show memorable was to have Madonna & MJ opening then move into more current performers. The whole show felt like it was in someone's garage.

The host sucked! Not funny at all. The performances lacked, I love Britney but I don't think she deserved 3 awards.
