Don't you have any decency ever Perez? She has probably been agonizing and crying for weeks wondering if she is going to DIE or not. She's been suffering mentally and physically. She needs our compassion as she heals. But what is it about gay people? They are so self involved and selfish that all you can think about is whether she will admit she is gay. Who cares? Hey Perez, take it easy. I'm sure cancer is a familiar word because, unfortunately it seems to effect all of us in one form or another. You remind me of someone that I know who seems to crack jokes to lighten up sad moments. Cancer just seems to cut deep. Perhaps it's because there aren't any guarantees of recovery from remission. It's the one word that just is the hardest to hear out loud.

To everyone who keeps commenting on the gay bashing…I do not think that people are upset with Perez b/c they think being gay is embarassing and bad so it shouldnt be brought up…but…it is usually a very stressful time when people do come out of the closet, especially someone in her position…so I think that there is nothing wrong with being gay or coming out, but I do think it was totally distasteful of Perez to bring up the subject when she is already stressing out about her cancer. It was actually way beyond being distasteful…

Wow. I know you enjoy creating controversy but the P.S really wasn't necessary. My mom dealt with breast cancer, and everything that comes with i.e chemo/radiation/ports for the chemo placed in her neck area…let's not focus on Robin's orientation.

I had the opportunity to meet Ms. Roberts last year at the airport after she had come down to her hometown to report on the progress of the MS gulf coast after Hurricane Katrina. She is a very kind, caring and respectable person, and doesn't deserve the harsh comments posted on this site, especially from you, Perez. Why does it matter, really, whether she is gay or not? The fact is, she is a HUMAN BEING, and that's what's important. Who gives a fuck if she (o ranyone else) is straight, bi, black, white, etc.? It makes no difference. It's the labels that create a division, not the people themselves. If we would all start treating each other like PEOPLE instead of LABELS, the world would be a better place.
