Oh gosh … she sounds terrible .. forgot the words … sounds waaay to twangy/country … I used to love her. So sad. She went down hill the day she decided to leave Nick.
i used to be a HUGE Jessica Simpson fan. Keeping up on what was going on with her was my guilty pleasure. But I must admit that she's a little bit of a trainwreck nowadays. That performance was awful. Almost as bad as Britney's VMA performance last year. The whole "I am having technical difficulties" excuses she has been using at various performances is getting old. She just needs to get it together…

I don't think it was bad at all. Unlike some "singers" she actually has a great voice and she didn't lip-sync. Clearly there was some techincal difficulty.
that's not embarrassing at all. she's being honest and she sang 100% live…not many performers can say the same. i think it was an awesome performance.

I think she does a good job representing the majority of white girls out there. Her performance was cute and ditzy and matched the song I say YOU GO GIRL!

I thought that was one of her better performances.
I was lucky enough to be watching GMA and saw it. She sounded horrible. But then I caught her on the Grand Ole Opry and she sounded bad then too. Really damaged her voice I think when the last album she tryed singing against the advice of her doctor with a broken blood vessel in her vocal cord. I've heard plenty of other singers that couldn't hear themselves because something happened with their ear monitors but they just take them out and keep singing. That was very unprofessional of her to stop the band and make them restart.

i give anyone credit who can continue to do what they are passionate about even though most the world hates them, or talks shit about them. i wouldn't have enough courage to get up there and try to do my thing when i knew people would be saying bad things about me.

I didn't think it was that bad. She figured the problem out quickly and managed to stay on key throughout. It was really good for live. For a bad example of a live artist singing on key check out Riri's VMA performance.
It wasn't her pitch or technical issues that bothered me..but her put-on, fake country accent is what really killed the performance. She didn't speak with such a country twang when she had her crappy newlywed reality show.
I thought see looked pregnant too. Perez needs to post some pictures of her from the show.

I thought she did a fine job, sure there was the mishap at the start with the sound issues, but when she restarted it sounded great to me. Also not a fan of hers, but she did just fine, didn't like her outfit though :-/

I'm not sure if it was the technical difficulties but she sure seemed to have alot of problems. She sounded very hoarse and did seem like she was trying to sound country. Also she looked very pregnant I think it might have been the very unflattering dress. Either way she looked very uncomfortable up there.

The problem I saw is that she forgot the words to her own song, twice. The first time she missed the beat and and also flubbed words, and had to ask them to start over, the second time she forgot the words during the song.
She has not been good live in a long time. She does not sing like she used to.
On the tone, etc — I live in NJ and the weather is bad (I'm close to NYC) — I'm not surprised that maybe she could not hear herself. It's very windy and rainy, scattered storms — so I'd go easy on her in that area.
I have no problem with the technical difficulties. It happens. That forced twang on top of an already shitty voice was the real problem. She may be a country girl at heart but her voice is complete crap and really not suited for any type of style.

Perez, you're so used to watching lip synchers and hearing nothing but electronically enhanced tracks that you don't know a good live performance when you see it. She sound 10 times better than most the crappy "artists" you promote here.
Perez, its no secret you don't like Jessica Simpson, but try to be objective, okay? She had a technical glitch at the beginning; it happens. Instead of putting on an overly synchronized, produced, lip-synched performance, the vocals and the instrumentals were all live. She sounded great and hit her notes. Wold it have been better if the whole performance was faked in the name of showmanship? I say good for her for making it real.
I don't like her at all. BUT It wasn't that bad. The rain and the noise in the background all factored into it too. I think you're picking on her Perez.
I made the mistake of turning it on GMA this morning & there she was fat as a cow & yapping about her clothing & shoe line.

I have to disagree. I think she sounded great. I didn't watch the vid, i had my screen on something else. Maybe that helped. she needs to stay out of the tabloids and just do music maybe people will take her seriously then.

Whatever… she was recently here in Sacramento at the California State Fair last month, and the place was packed, even when she was warming up earlier in the day, the place was packed. Not to mention people were braving 100++ weather just to see her. We love her and hope to have her back in CA soon!
