Re: Harvard Grad – Oh, yes, the woman who was only selected to grab vacuous female voters and redneck NRA members? Hell yes I'm scared of her–voters LOVE someone who is as ignorant as they are. That's why Bush got into office twice.

Can some of you MCCain supporter please explain why you like politicians who lie? SP should just drop the Bridge to nowhere stuff. She kept the 233 Million of federal money. She loved pork as a mayor and governor, why is she against it now? Why won't she have a press conference and tell us why she has changed her stand on pork?

Wasn't it Bush who would not hold press conferences–4 more years of Bush!

Re: Uker – It is one thing to have political debates and make snarky remarks to one another all in the fun of blogging. It is quite another when you are a foreigner on an American based website, where the vast majority of posters are American, and call us stupid and ignorant. That's bad and extremely rude. For years my husband and I used to love to go to the UK every year. We stopped 3 years ago because the people there became so unbeleivably rude to us just because we were Americans. Our last trip was suppose to be 2 weeks, and we left after 2 days and went to Paris because the English were so unspeakably rude to us. This is a very large and very diverse country with many highly educated and intelligent people. Take your stuffy ass steortypes and shove it, and then get your ass over to the HYS on the BBC Board. You will be right at home.

  5. 105

You would think Perez, who benefits more from the First Amendment than anyone else I can think of would be more respectful of it.

Re: Bronte34 – There's something you need to realize. If your going to give me this lecture on the reason he chose Palin for a running mate was because he knew he'd pick up extra votes, then at least look at your canidate. The first black canidate in history and his slogan is CHANGE. Open your FUCKING eyes. Obama is far more guilty of using his color to lure voters then McCain is of using Sarah Palin's sexual orientation. Give me a fucking break.

  7. 107

well this country has been in the shitter for 8 years. another 4 aint gonna make much of a difference. or is it? hhhhmmmm…..

Yeah, the economy was good during the Clinton years because of the Republican congress.

  10. 110

BRONTE34- yeah, the economy was good in the Clinton years because the congress was Republican.

  11. 111

I AM NOT LETTING THAT GUN-TOTING, ANTI-CHOICE, OFFENSIVE, HYPOCRITE GET ONE HEART BEAT AWAY FROM THE PRESIDENCY.
    BA-RACK THE VOTE!

  12. 112

BRONTE34, yeah, the economy was good during the Clinton years because of the Republican congress.

  13. 113

Re: Harvard Grad – At least he didn't steal the slogan "change" like McCain. And are you actually saying that Obama's supporters are all black or that people only like him because he's black? How about people like him because he is educated, honest, and doesn't lie? Or that he has new ideas and was one of the few people who voted against the illegal and completely misguided war in Iraq? Palin lied about her major "change"–she was FOR the bridge to nowhere until she saw it was unpopular AND she kept the federal money!!! Look it up! It's not a conspiracy theory–it is fact!

  14. 114

I suppose all the Obama people here think McCain should have picked someone that would COST him votes.

  16. 116

Re: Bronte34 – Yeah, the economy was good during the Clinton years because of the Republican congress.

  21. 121

Re: Bronte34 – You're really ignorant. Bush had spent little time in office prior to 9/11. It was BILL CLINTON who should have acted, BILL CLINTON who should have captured or killed Bin Laden when he had the chance, it was BILL CLINTON who dropped the ball and set us up for that horrible, tragic day. President Bush is the one who had the guts to stand up to terrorists and make a difinitive statement that America, and the peace and freedom we enjoy, will be defended. President Bush took action, and agree or disagree, at least he didn't sit idle when this country was hurting and vulnerable. I also wonder how many of you that poo poo the war are actually affected by it. I've been an Army wife for almost 5 years, my husband has deployed to Iraq, is going back to Iraq soon, and I support the President and the war effort. We must fight terrorism abroad or we will face it here at home. It's our choice. Choose wisely. McCain/Palin 08!

    NUF SAID!

  24. 124

Re: LordKain – how WILL we survive without you?

  25. 125

Keep drinking the Kool Aid. During his first year in office, Clinton quickly focused on improving the economy. He believed that the key was reducing government spending and the huge deficits that occurred in the federal budget each year because government spending exceeded its revenues. Because the government borrowed money to offset its deficit spending, it reduced the amount of money available for private investment. Therefore businesses could obtain capital only at high rates of interest, which discouraged investment and expansion. In 1993 Clinton submitted to Congress a budget that reduced federal spending and increased taxes. With every Republican in Congress voting against it, the budget passed in both houses without one vote to spare. Clinton’s budget victory reversed the trend of rising deficits, and it stimulated the economy.
And Bush not only spent the entire SURPLUS after the Clinton, he plunged us into RECORD DEFICIT while Republicans held Congress for 7 of the 8 years. Oh, what was that? Yeah, that's what I thought.

  26. 126

It's about time that our nation has shown some common sense for approving a candidate who has actual policies instead of just "CHANGE!"

So given your experiences abroad, have you ever stopped to think why being "american" instantly brought out the ugly from people overseas. I mean it's not like you were overthere acting ignorant or anything right? It not just b/c you are "american" why the world has grown so cold and critical of us, it's because of the policies we dish out overseas and there are a lot of Americans not versed on foreign policy that have no clue what is being done overseas in our name. We in America know for the most part that we are like every other society, we have our good and our bad. Why is our bad so pronounced overseas?

Re: jenb2003 – No, BUSH was in office when the memo came through and the agents contacted the CIA and the president regarding the pilots in training. And I want to fight terrorism–that's why I supported going to Afghanistan WHERE THE TERRORISTS WERE!!! I also support the troops which is why I don't want them to die for an illegal and unnecessary war. I lived in NYC, I watched the towers come down, and had friends die which is exactly why I feel so strongly about the lies Bush has propogated with his war and by ignoring blatant warning signs. He could've stopped it, but he was too busy pretending to be a cowboy that summer, clearing brush in Crawford while the evil geniuses Cheney and Rumsfeld were hatching a plan to invade Iraq (BEFORE 9/11!). Fact, look it up–not a conspiracy theory. I hope to god that we get a president in office who will keep all of our troops out of unnecessary wars–I think the men and women in our military are incredibly brave and patriotic and I commend them–which is why I do not want them in harm's way for illegal wars based on lies. It's is a dishonor to their service and I want them home safely!!

Education, experience and knowledge = a vote for McCain-Palin.

Um, what about bombing the crap out of Serbia while he was getting that blow job. Weren't they our ally at the time? The " amazing economy " was inherited from George senior. What did Clinton do exactly? Oh yeah, he ignored the best opportunity we had of killing Bin Laden so he could grope Jennifer, Fatty, and the lounge singer without have to do boring president stuff.
You really cant be this ignorant to think that everyone has loved us all along. No hard feelings until our elected retard came to office. If you are all those things you mentioned at Harvard, I am scared of the people that actually listen to you.

  50. 150

Jaycie/comment #61, I feel sorry for you. Maybe you should learn more about each candidate before you make such a comment! There will be no change coming for McSame. John McCain has voted with the Bush administration 90 percent of the time. He does not have a plan on how to fix our crumbling economy, and he is also a supporter of the war in Iraq. Sarah Palin is like a walking soap opera. There are so many things that are wrong with her and they are too long to list. I suggest you tune into the news more often. She doesn't even have experience in foreign policy and only recently acquired a passport. Can you imagine if something should ever happen to John McCain and she becomes president? America would become such a joke! Please do your homework first and learn more about each candidate. Oh, I cannot wait for the debates!!!

  51. 151

    Ugh. Typos.

  52. 152

Re: melsteinberg – Wow, you really shut me up with that catchy "NObama." Mmmh, gee, I better just close my mouth. Your ability for rational debate based on actual facts versus typical republican rhyming and puns which pass for intelligence in creationist circles has me floored. By the way, if you can remember how to spell sarcasm once you dust off the dictionary that your wife/cousin uses as a support to cook meth on, look it up.

  53. 153

    BWAAHHAAA,

Spanking that ass I love it! Let Obama and his hate machine keep throwing shit, they’re digging they’re own hole.

  54. 154

What the hell is wrong with you people? Your REALLY going to put another Republican in office after the 8 years we just had? You have to be fucking kidding me. Maybe americans are dumb.

  55. 155

Re: honeybee – Remember though, Republicans think it's "smart to be dumb." Bush had never had a passport either and also bragged about his dismal educational standing. These voters WANT idiots in office because they can relate to them…throw some catchy slogans and lies their way, and that's all it takes. Most supporters don't read or research, they just repeat the talking points given to them. Sad, but true :(

  56. 156

Re: Bronte34 – You are just another Democrat in denial. McCain has sealed the deal on this election. Maybe 4 years from now your party won't nominate an extremist liberal with a racist wife who has little expirience and a Muslim faith. And I'll be the one to say this. The only good coming out of Obama is maybe he'll inspire the majority of the black community. You know the community that likes to collect welfare checks but doesn't like to work. The community that is far more racist then any other in America. The community where the father can't put food on this families table because 1, he's not around or 2, he spent all his money on a fresh pair or Air Force Ones. Some may say that's racist but it's entirely true. ;-)

  57. 157

    Re: Bronte34
Did I say that? No, in fact I believe I have used the words retard, monkey in a suit, and douche to describe him. I would not call that positive in any way. And which facts were wrong? She is fat right? There is a lounge singer right? And he did bomb an ally. So where am I wrong? And just so you know, yes I read quite a bit, I also read newspapers from all over the world every day. I have travelled all over Europe, and have spent a lot of time in the UK. I would say I am fairly well informed. Informed enough to know that Hussien Obama would be a mistake, and how many times has Biden tried for the top job and couldnt get out of second gear. Now he is second fiddle to a second rate senator who has really never done a thing on his own. And by the way IS a big fat liar. He sat there and said that he never heard anything anti American from rev Wright mouth. Really? After sitting in the church for 20 + years, married him to Michelle, baptized the kids. Never heard anything……really. I actually think Clinton did a decent job, unlike all of the left wingers on this site that say McCain is a bush clone becasue he is in the same party. So Lincoln, Regan, and Bush are all the same person? Didn't think so.

  58. 158

Re: Bronte34 – NEWS FLASH: CLINTON was in office when these warnings came out. He ignored them.

    159

Obama isn't ready for our country. And I wish he was because he is a great speaker. I've said it before I'll say it again, Obama will be eaten alive in the global world. Yeah, that speech in Germany was asome but not something we need a president to do. Obama also said some pretty low things today about fish and lipstick. There is a difference between political mud slinging but his metaphores today were absolutely discusting and embarrassing to our country.

  60. 160

Re: Harvard Grad – Wow, you're too stupid to speak to. Your "knowledge" is based solely on emails from evangelicals who have never read a newspaper or book. Ex: "Obama is Muslim because his middle name is Hussein." It's truly sad to see what America has become. Why don't you go forward the "send this people to 10 people in the next 6 minutes and you'll get money!" email along with that "Obama is Muslim" email? Crap, this makes me want to cry for our country's future. Thank you, Bush, for making it cool to be stupid.

  61. 161

Re: Frag The Paps – Damn, you actually made me laugh harder than I have all day :) Thank you!

  62. 162

Re: Frag The Paps – And yes, when McCain voted with Bush 90% of the time, that does make him the same person as far as this country is concerned. The only difference is that McCain has more anger management issues and cheated on his wife after she got in a car accident and lost her leg. So yes, he's probably more inherently scummy than Bush on a personal level. I guess because Cindy McCain wasn't "fat" like Monica, it's ok by you? Spoken like a true hypocritical caveman.

  63. 163

if that's true, America is dooooomed.

  64. 164

Re: JembaBemba – so right…..personally my family has only seen financial hard times since pelosi was handed the gavel

another gift from clinton………..a severely depleted military…

libs are big dreamers, but extremely short sighted….dangerous combination.

  65. 165

Re: Harvard Grad – #157 - Or maybe, just maybe, had Senator Obama done what the other half of his party seemed to want and chose Mrs. Clinton as his VP the tables would be turned. He couldn't make that choice for some reason; he had to pick Senator Biden, proven liar and career Washington politician (change?). So lo and behold when Senator McCain picks Governor Palin (change!) the battle cry is that he only did it to get Senator Clinton's supporters. Last time I checked, Mrs. Clinton's stance on abortion and the 2nd Amendment (prior to the primaries when she appeared to change her stance to be opposite Obama's) are completely opposite of Governor Palin's. I don't discredit those women as being sheep who will just follow on over to the other woman and I sincerely doubt that Senator McCain thought that as well. These free thinking, empowered, liberal women? That myth makes about as much sense as the myth that Governor Palin's infant son is really her grandson. Truth is, I believe that if he had chosen Mrs. Clinton, the race would be over and done with, Dems win. But he didn't so now the they're going to have to kick it into high gear because we've got ourselves a race on our hands! I too can't wait for the debates!

  66. 166

Third segment of Obama on O'Reilly is coming up in a few minutes……

  68. 168

it just proves thaat middle class suburbanite women are IDIOTS!

  69. 169

Re: BongoRe: Bongo – Now this is very true too. What gets me is that people don't understand how Clinton had ample opportunities to stop terrorism (911 for example) but did nothing. It's a fact, Jack.

  70. 170

    Re: Gossip_Girl32 – Amen sister.

  71. 171

Re: Harvard Grad – I love it! I agree! I'm currently in college and if Obama is elected I wonder if it's even worth it to go here…put myself in this much debt…and get a good job because with Obama in office he's going to raise my taxes to 40% because he believes in redistributing money to the poor. Liberals want to PUNISH the hard working upper middle class and rich by giving our money to people who decided they don't want to further their education and want to flip burgers instead…or not work at all.

  72. 172

No big surprise there, since most Americans are basically stupid.
    ~..~

  73. 173

Re: Bronte34 – First of all, while I intend to disagree with you about a few things and make a few more arguements, I do have to express my appreciation for your support for our military. Most liberals and anti-war groups are very anti-military as well. It's gratifying that while we disagree, we can still stand united behind our service members. Happily, patriotism knows no demographics. I'm sorry for your loss on 9/11. My older brother, now a soldier, survived that day. Now on to the arguements:) The memo you referred to (and incidently not what I was talking about earlier) came only WEEKS before 9/11, which gave Pres. Bush very little time to do anything about it, as well as the fact that the information about suspected activity was, at that time, already several years old and contained no information regarding a NEW threat.

  74. 174

part 2: What exactly should he have done? With 9/11 only weeks away, had he known, what type of pre-emptive measures could he have taken? Pre-emptive strikes are illegal according to international law. Bill Clinton had this same information for several years before President Bush, so if Bush is to blame, Clinton is even more so. But what Bill Clinton had that President Bush never had is Bin Ladin served up on a silver platter. And he chose to do nothing. Bill Clinton could have eliminated Bin Ladin and 9/11 would, at the very least, have been postponed and possibly averted altogether. As for the war being illegal, that is very debatable. The United Nations Security Council passed somewhere in the vacinity of 60 resolutions that set the backdrop. As for the President being authorized, Congress passed the Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq Resolution of 2002. I find the war both legal and justified, and being currently unpopular changes neither of those things.

  75. 175

I just have to say it really makes me laugh to read these because you can always tell the republicans from the liberals. All of the liberals talk like idiots and can't spell and then they start calling everyone stupid…you know…typical 3rd grade fights. And then the republicans can actually debate and they don't make themselves sound like uneducated idiots. just felt like pointing that out=)

    176

When George Bush was running, I never thought anyone would be stupid enough to vote for him. He is an idiot and not afraid to show it. I actually heard these rednecks on the news say "I like him cause he's just like the rest of us, he's not real smart and that's what I like about him" are you kidding me?? But guess what? They actually voted for that retard. So it doesn't surprise me that old, decrepit John McCain who hasn't had an original idea in his life chooses someone with no experience, little education and a closet full of skeletons and he's on top. When this nutjob Palin is in a meeting with other heads of state and pulls a rattlesnake out of her handbag, starts speaking in tongues while having a holy ghost inspired fit on the floor?? But I will NEVER underestimate the stupidity of the American public!

  77. 177

hmm think i'm in timeout again! come on perez play fair put my posts up!

  78. 178

Bottom line: it took YEARS to plan 9/11 and President Bush had only been in office a few short months. Therefore, the movement, training, and planning was going on during Clinton's Administration and it just happened to be executed shortly after he left office.

  79. 179

    Gossip_Girl32 [172]:
    :l
Hay airhead, stop spreading lies. Obama has said he would NOT raise taxes for families earning less than $250,000.00 per year…Period. And that is from his own mouth. It's lame for you to accept the rhetoric being perpetuated by the Republican Machine, without doing your own research.
    :l
You better stay in school. You have a lot of learning to do.

  80. 180

I'm the last person that wants to to champion Bill Clinton, but I will give the man this - He had the good sense with regard to the economy to work together with Newt Gingrich and the congress on fiscal discipline. Together with Alan Greenspan they managed to supercharge the economy to the point of a huge Stock Market bubble. The economy eventually burst but they had the right idea. Fiscal responsibility. Something that has been long forgotten in Washington. Granted, this was partly done by gutting the military and a medium increase in taxes. But it was successful. Imagine where we would be had we not been so responsible. So I'll give it to Bill on that one.

  81. 181

Re: Bronte34 – I'm laughing because all Obama has are slogans and catch phrases taken from his, admitedly, well written and well delivered speeches. McCain, on the other hand, has a real record of real decisions, making real stances. It's the Obamaites that keep chanting 'hope' and 'change' without any substance to back it up.

  82. 182

And…..GossipGirl - you are what is wrong with voting in America. You are supposed to be voting for the best candidate. Attaching yourself and loyalizing yourself to a particular political party is how majorities end up voting in idiots like Nixon and Bush. John McCain is not the best candidate for this job, at this time. And you can't call me a Democrat for supporting Obama, because I am not even American. I am supporting Obama because he is the best candidate for the job, and the best hope for America's future.

  83. 183

Re: SquirrelLives – I get your point, but I'm shaking my head about calling policies that almost destroyed our military and in a very real way weakened our national security "successful". What good is a strong economy if our country is destroyed by terrorists? Given the choice between money and liberty, in the immortal words of Patrick Henry: "Give me liberty or give me death!"

  84. 184

if mccain and the female bush win i will officially lose faith in the american people. and come on, ladies!! the only reason palin is on the ticket is because they think women are stupid enough to vote for her just because she is a woman!!! don't prove them right!! hello!!! her husband was in a group that supported alaska seceding from the USA! what is wrong with everyone? i think republicans are idiots if you want another bush in office…mccain voted with bush on 90% of votes….and look at where we are!!! there's a reason gas prices are so shitty and the economy is getting ass-fucked by bush and the republicans who are spending so much money on a war to avenge daddy Bush. seriously, what is wrong with you people

  85. 185

    Re: jenb2003 – Post 184
Don't get me wrong. I understand what he did. My point was to highlight the success we were able to achieve when we TRIED and we need to TRY again. By no means would I even touch the military as Clinton did. I remember the days in the early 90's when he was letting anyone out that wanted. Closing bases left and right. I got out just before this started in 1990. But I would like to see the same discipline used in Washington as we saw in the 90's to strengthen the dollar and break out of the funk we've been in since 2000.

Obama reminds me of a young Fidel Castro

Re: uraPIGperez – No, actually he wants to raise taxes for EVERYONE! I hope you're just excited as I am to be paying for all of these lazy bastard's free healthcare!

  88. 188

    Nooooo that's horrible!

  89. 189

ABC New interview with Cindy McCain, re: Sarah Palin's international experience:

McCAIN: You know, the experience that she comes from is what she’s done in government, and remember, Alaska is the closest part of our continent to Russia. It’s not as if she doesn’t understand what’s at stake here.

  90. 190

mccain lowering taxes?!?! yea, for the fucking insanely rich…that's really showing you're not out of touch. i honestly do NOT UNDERSTAND how anyone could be so stupid to believe ANYTHING that bitch Palin or man about to die have to say. and cindy mccain is the fucking crypt keeper

  91. 191

Gossip_Girl32[/re] No you will be paying for more war, more money in the pockets of big oil and big pharm and you will be seeing less government oversight such as what happened with Fannie and Freddie because Bush, Cheney and friends made sure no one was watching as they screwed us ALL! McCains man Phil Gramm was a big part of that. Funny squirrly wants the economy back like it was in 2000. What happened in 2000? Oh that's right, you all voted Bush in! What was I thinking!
Oh and Social Security, had it been privatized as Bush and McCain want, well I think we all know how screwed we'd be now!
    Please don't do it again!
    OBAMA! OBAMA! OBAMA!
    I beg you!!!

Please don't speak for me and others. Being in the military is our job, we know what we were getting into. Also, Sudan had captured Bin Laden and offered to turn him over to the US but Clinton didn't want to offend the Saudis. When people say this war is illegal and say they don't support the president but support the troops I find that doesn't make sense. Most of us support our Commander-In-Chief and the war effort. Like I said, WE volunteered for this. When you disrespect the President you disrespect us. Many of us believe we did the right thing. Were you for leaving Saddam to torture and kill families? It's because of this President why we haven't been attacked since. We got attacked more times while Clinton was in office, 1993 WTC, 1995 Saudi Arabia, 1996 Al-Kobar Towers Saudi Arabia, 1998 US Embassy in Africa, 2000 USS Cole. All these attacks and he did nothing!

  93. 193

Ok I’m getting censored like hell tonight so maybe I can get this one past…..urapig, yes you are a pig you have no say so in this election you are a Canadian if your economy sucks talk to your president not mine. Palin is a great woman and the fact the feminazi are coming after her just shows they’re stupidity. Obama is indeed a great speaker of hot air and hot air alone. He will raise everyone’s taxes, he will disassemble the military and he will run this country in to the gutter

  94. 194

Yes Sarah has loads of experience! Town of 9000 whole people to govern! Whew, I was afraid there! Don't want to lose more allies or anything by electing a moron. It isn't like the rest of the world matter to the US or anything.
Oh and Sarah doesn't think GLOBAL WARMING has anything to do with mans impact on the planet. Who needs the North Pole anyway?

  95. 195

Perez is a censoring tool. Way to go CASTRO. You never cease to amaze me. Just remember, When you step on me you're doing the same as your hero on the island. Maybe that hurricane killed his insecure ass.
