He has used that statement referring to various policies on numerous occasions before Palin even came into the picture. The context of the speech did not even MENTION Palin, he was criticizing Bush and McCain. And I'm sorry but the Republican spin on what is COMMON POLITICAL JARGON is dirty politics at it's best. Perez, SHAME ON YOU. Obama's comment was a direct reference to a comment used by John McCain in May when he spoke about Hillary! McSame used that comment first. It was never about "Pitbull Palin". You should do your homework first if you are going to post aboit politics. At least get your facts straight and tune into the news more often. Believe it or not, you may be influencing a young voter, who may not be up to date with political news because they are wasting time on gossip sites like yours, to vote against Obama and not know the real truth behind your "news" story. Visit his website click on the ISSUES tab and on the lower right hand side you will see "BLUEPRINT FOR CHANGE" a 33pg. pdf I would think that if your going to make an informed decision, people would have atleast visited each candidate's website and read what their agendas are for the white house. The change question and what is meant by that has been answered a while ago, hence why McCain attempted to hijack the Change Express

as a democrat and someone who is not too fond of palin i must admit that obama's remark was out of line b/c we all know that if palin or mc cain said monkey in the same sentence with obama that would cause a media firestorm…if anything obama's mis-step proves that his campaign was totally caught off guard by the choice of palin and her ensuing popularity and i think he is slowly falling apart.he doesn't handle attacks from conservatives/republicans too well and he no longer has the media to protect and defend him, as such when he was competing against clinton.
The problem with palin is that she tries to play both sides of the fence - wanting cred as a politician and then referring to herself as "gal" to curry to the good-ole boys who might feel threatened by a woman in power.
Palin set herself up by trying to be cute with the hockey-mom/lipstick/pit-bull remark and unfortunately it backfired. Unfortunate word-associations all around because, at the end of the day, she is more porker than pit-bull.
