I NEVER cry at Weddings…much less a wedding video, HOWEVER, that made me tear up!!! It's beautiful and a historical moment…a day Ellen and other Gay/Lesbians thought might never come.

The beauty of their love completely overpowers the hateful people on this site. There will always be evil and horrible people in this world and they are not worth commenting to, but this kind of love and happiness makes the world a better place–even if there are still ignorant, hateful people out there. At least these wonderful people are making the world a happier, more loving, and more peaceful place.

Re: Seriously – Well, that's good for you that you think that, but not everyone does. It shouldn't be based on majority vote or whatever; the people who do not share your views have every right to be happily married to who they please. If you're against being gay, then don't be gay and don't participate in a gay wedding…if it's legalized you won't know specifically about probably 99% of those weddings and it shouldn't affect your daily life. I'm not gay, but I know plenty of people who are, and they are honestly in love and deserve the happiness that they aren't allowed. Not everyone is a Christian and not everyone thinks it's awful. You people have no right to force your beliefs on anybody.
And if you reply, we're not forcing our beliefs on you either. We're not telling you that you can't get married or that you have to marry someone of the same sex. This country needs to be 'live and let live' if anyone wants to make any positive progess.

Like so many other people, that made me cry too! I just love the fact that their wedding was so small and truly beautiful and tasteful, and that they have shared it with everyone. Ellen and Portia, if you read this, I hope you know how inspirational you both are: gay, straight, whatever, it's just clear that you are really in love and you seem so happy and right for each other. OMG that was absolutely beautiful. I love and believe in God and I know that He speaks about gay/lesbian relationships in the Bible. But what I seen in that video was pure love and happiness that I hope to find in my husband some day. clearly it is you who has failed to educate yourself. If you had you would know that at first scientist did find mutations in homosexual genes, but then in recent times the mutations haven't been there. So you shouldn't try to correct people when you don't know the facts. I read this in the book of the man who discovered the double helix BTW, so I'm pretty sure that unless your a genetics nerd of that is your profession, that you don't have backup. I only don't agree with gay marriage because it goes against my religion and the good moral beliefs of the US founding fathers.
That brought tears to my eyes — as bewildering as it is why a girl would want to be with another girl. I try hard to imagine it and it just leaves me baffled. Especially Portia who would make any man melt … and that woman-to-man chemistry is so… INCREDIBLE. But this is not about me, it is about them, and they truly look happy with each other. Re: hippychk13 – We had been planning an actual wedding and reception for our 10-year, but this economy snuck up on us and my husband lost his job and had to get a new one, etc., etc.. So our 10-year passed and all we could do was have some champagne and toast our love and devotion. We don't know any other couples in their late 20's that can say they've been married, and that is sad but it also makes us feel good. =)

Why are people so concerned with other peoples sexual orientation??…They aren't hurting anyone!
