The World Wants Obama
John McCain may be experiencing a sudden surge in popularity, but…..
According to a new poll, the entire world wants Barack Obama to win the U.S. presidency!
All 22 countries covered in the poll would prefer to see Senator Obama elected US president ahead of Republican John McCain.
In 17 of the 22 nations, people expect relations between the US and the rest of the world to improve if Senator Obama wins.
More than 22,000 people were questioned by pollster GlobeScan in countries ranging from Australia to India and across Africa, Europe and South America.
The margin in favour of Senator Obama ranged from 9 per cent in India to 82 per cent in Kenya, while an average of 49 per cent across the 22 countries preferred Senator Obama compared with 12 per cent preferring Senator McCain. Some four in 10 did not take a view.
The world may want it but….
It's Americans that do the voting.
Make sure you cast your ballot!

Re: MiMiMos –
Honey if this country were, like you said, so "fucking racist" your dearling Obama will be picking tomatos, not running for office.!!!….. Only in America a black man with 3 muzlims names will be close to become president.
Stop wining, this is not about race, it's about association. Obama is friends with rev Right, Aiken, Faranhan and all the radical terrorists that hate America. Even his wife Michelle belongs to that group. She's never being proud of America…..Remember her words?
Stop the bullshit. Stop being the victim. Obama is a liar and his mask will come down in October.- This is nothing. The truth will come.
22000 out of 6.675 billion world pop?! I am so going to the bank with this and voting for B.Obama. Not! I'm sure the rest of world wants the strongest candidate in office because they have USA best interest at heart. I hate "polls and "surveys." Everyone knows that they are based on a very thin margin to show what they want the outcome to be.
REALLY.. thats awesome.. but last time I checked McCain was UP in the polls.. and thats the polls for the actual country he is running for.. not the world.
i want that shirt!
wow is that MANdonna…. yikes not her best look and those arm…..
In the U.S.A we have what is called freedom of speech given to us by our first ammendment right, so Perez you are entitled to say whatever you want, but maybe you should stick to what you know, celebrity gossip.
Re: Tara17 –
Tara with all my respect, are you nuts? Of course ONLY Americans will vote for AMERICA. Like Canadians, vote for Canada, and Mexicans for Mexico…Dahhhh!…..I'm very happy that the rest of the world is paying attention to our elections, but is OUR elections and we, the american people, will vote for the best of our country.
If you think that after 9/11 a guy without any experience and 3 muzlims names will be easely elected president just because the "world" wish so, you are painfully mistaken.
Madonna's t-shirt is a reminder that Obama is an empty suit and a celebrity toy. And that muzlim is running against a real hero.?
No chance.
the world wants Obama to win simply because it will be easier to take control of the US
ummm… 22,000…?? there are billions of people in the world!! that is sooo stupid!
We don't give a rats ass what other countries want us to do. And as far as all of the liberal media and stars voting for Obama they are about as far from main stream USA that they could be.
Madonna spends all the money on getting her face worked on and look at those man hands and veiny arms! NASTY!!!!
Who fucking gives a shit. Do those assholes live here? They dont know the least thing about the U.S. As for Madonna she is a fucking cunt! I really used to be a big fan of hers and dismissed all her craziness but doesn't she realize some of her fans will not agree with her political views. She aint young and most of her fans are now in their late 30's early 40's and we are not a bunch of tree hugging liberal hippies. I was going to the bitch's concert but not anymore. Oh by the way Madonna, Sarita is six years younger than you.
i honestly think Madonna's great
The world wants Obama because he is all words and no action. He said Iran was a small nation and is no threat to us. Obama is very ignorant on world issues. Talking alone doesn't work.
I'm glad to see that the same idiots rooting for Obama have no idea that percent is just ONE word and NOT "per cent" like they've tried pass it off as.
Ok so the "entire world" want's Barack Obama to be president!?
All 22 countries in the world? The 22 countries that were surveyed?
Wow.
Small world..
I know they don't exactly push geography in American schools but Jesus Christ!
Re: suziq24 – If you guys think this is power, you are in for a shock.
Your country is an international joke! Your foreign policies have not only fucked up other countries, but also your own!!
Forget about relative 'power', think about supporting your countrymen and women and helping your country develop!!
Education, healthcare, your economy!?! Hello!?!
i'm only saying this. for everyone that says the "world" wants Obama just to see the USA "fail", you're WRONG. At least in Europe it's not like that.. we care not because we love the USA but because the decisions that are made in the USA affects us. Open your eyes… you're so self-centred that you think everybody is against the USA. Why should we want the USA to "fail" if we depend on your country ? Think before you talk.
too bad the world isn't voting. we'd be fucked. besides, like they can have say in OUR election. fucking obama.
McCain/Palin '08!
yea they want obama to be pres so the us isnt the powerhouse that it is and they can get away with whatever they want. good thing the rest of the world doesnt have a say in who our pres is
It's not the rest of the world wanting America to fail it's just that we have seen what a mistake the last 8 have been. Americans need to travel a lot more as only the East and West coaster's know there is a whole world outside of the US and the Republicans are holding you back!!
No real American gives a crap if the rest of the world wants Dumbama. They are going to be in a shock when McCain and Palin win. It is going to be such a HUMILIATING defeat for Dumbama and his leftist loonies. This is sooooooooooooooooo gooooooooooooooood!
Let's face it, the US seem to have an image problem with a president even his own people don't trust. A government who is unwilling to tackle environmental problems and have a bad stance concerning oil policies and durable energy research. On top of that, a large part of europe has abandoned organised religion or at least seperated their spiritual life from their views on many different ethical and social discussions such as abortion, homosexuality, stem cell research and euthanasia. If anything, Obama (a democratic president) would give the world a sign that the US people have had enough of these policies and want a different direction. Which gives the US an image makeover and a more positive placing in world politics. A more democratic and less conservatively republican stance is thus welcomed in large parts of the world which seemed to have progressed and moved on, where the US has seemingly stood still or even moved back in terms of certain area's. I truelly hope and pray that Obama becomes your new president as it will do the US and the world a lot of good!

When I travel the world I'm always proud to be an American. I'm in the military and have always been proud. I don't care what another country thinks about my country. They may not like us, but they sure do like our money. I've been to Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Italy, Bahrain, U.A.E., Kenya, France, Great Britain, Japan, and a couple of other, I've never gotten a dirty look. In fact, I've always been complimented on being an American.
People saying that non-US citizens want Obama in charge because then the US would lose it's #1 status in the world should REALLY do some reading. People choosing for Obama in foreign countries actually want him to give the US a new face and put it back on the map! US economy is flatlining, the US are in a war that can not be won, the social networks are failing, education is down. And it's affecting the entire world! Economy worldwide is failing because of the weak US dollar. Tthe world needs a strong dollar, a healthy US economy and peace in the world. This will simply NOT happen if the same people remain in charge carrying on with the path that Bush has taken! It does NOT make any sense to say that people want to overtake the US! We simply need a fresh face, a fresh tactic… and think about it. During times when the US had a republican president there have been conflicts and wars in the world, while during democratic times the economy flourished and peace treaties were signed, environmental actions were taken, etc.
Vote for who you believe in. Vote for who you think will run your country best! Don't mind what anyone else says, but do the research and KNOW, that when you fill in that ballot, that the man you vote for, will do the best he can for you and your country! KNOW when you vote!
Who cares what the world wants….it is what we want and it might be scary for you but, it is looking like McCain is coming on strong….YEAH!

I think you need to check your history. These men (Democrats) were president when these wars began.
WWI: Woodrow Wilson
WWII: Franklin D. Roosevelt
Korean War: Harry S. Truman
Vietnam: John F. Kennedy
About your "war that cannot be won" comment, I've been there, and yes it can be won. in fact the Anbar Province was just returned to Iraqi forces. Do you know how many people were killed storming the beaches of Normandy? Would you have said the war couldn't be won after that? As far as education failing, I went to a public school in Los Angeles and busted my ass while friends of mine decided to drop out because they were lazy. I lost a lot of friends to gang violence. I think it's up to an individual whether he/she decides to push themselves. Don't blame the system. It's time for people to take responsibility for their actions. Also, about your "image makeover," I don't care what the world thinks. I rather have my family safe from terrorist attacks than have the world like my country. According to many here the world hates us, I believe President Bush has kept us safe since 9/11.
CNN just got busted using a fake picture of Gov. Palin in a bikini with an AK-47. Biased media strikes again.
Go McCain/Palin!
Re: robster –
Thoughtful posts but the contention that a McCain presidency would be just an extension of the Bush presidency is way off the mark. If America had a viable multi-party political system, McCain wouldn't even be in the Republican party. He is more of a moderate centrist in the mode of Schwarzenegger, Lieberman, Feinstein, Hillary, etc. So, I will be voting with my head and not my heart. McCain has a proven way of working in a bi-partisan manner that will do more to unite this country than to divide it.
Re: cyatic910 –
I'm talking about more recent history! Cold war and Russian threat during Reagan! Gulf War 1 during Bush Sr, Gulf war 2 during Bush Jr.. While during Clinton's time in office we saw breakthroughs in the middle eastern peace process, the connections with Russia were restored. The US & the world is not helped with international tension. You might not care what the world thinks, but the world does depend on and need a strong USA! A strong dollar and economy, peace in the world. And an open mind to environmental issues. Republicans are not even willing to discuss homosexuality, euthanasia, abortion and stem cell research, based on religion. Closing discussion won't get us anywhere. It puts us at a complete stand still!
Again, The only thing I can say is that everyone should vote for who they believe in! Vote for who you think can run your country best! Don't give a damn about what anyone else says. What any artist tells you to vote, or any european, mother, priest, co-worker or whatever tells you is the best thing to do! Read, do the research, find out what both candidates are about. Compare and do the work, and find out what candidate is the best man in charge for you personally!
And be DAMN SURE when you fill in that ballot, that the man you vote for, will be the best possible candidate to represent your personal ideas and interests!
KNOW WHO YOU VOTE FOR!
Re: martitalabonita –
Please speak for your own part of Europe….European young people are very interested in politics especially as most countries depend on decisions made in the EU, of which the leaders again kiss ass with that monkey that lives in the white house at the moment….all connected, and that is why most people would not want more of the same shit that has been going on.
A thing than very little of you i-love-my-country-and-the-rest-can-go-f-themselves-americans can invision is THERE ARE OTHER COUNTRIES ON THIS PLANET OTHER THAN THE USA….you should really try and visit some…broadens your view on a lot of things
hey perez!
the real fact is that between 60 and 70% of Americans want a better choice than Nobama or McInsane.
we'll have absolutely no "change", unfortunately. unless by "change" you mean MORE war and LESS sovereignty. the ignorant will get exactly what they deserve in November- a pile of disaster.

Hi robster,
Re: robster –
Robster, i support your effort to 'educate', but than again that might be hard for people living in a 1st world country with a 3rd world education system.
But yes you are right, in stead of getting influenced by gossip backlash and fox crap….read up on the candidates issues, use the net instead of hanging around here, and make a balanced decission.
And really again, the rest of the world is very much dependent on what is going on in the USA…for example…your currency is worth dick at the moment, and going down….this affects even some lady in a country you never heard of or cannot pinpoint on a globe, getting a jar of peanut butter at the supermarket….seriously, think about what has been happening to your country over the past 8 years….
Re: robster –

Sorry, hit enter by mistake.
You didn't specify when you made the war comment, thanks for clarifying. I agree with you about voting who you think is best for the job. I disagree about the issues though. Some people believe homosexuality is wrong, abortion, stem cell research, etc. Different people believe different things. Why do we all have to believe what one side believes? If McCain wins, then more people believe what he believes. If Obama wins, then more people agree with his ideas. We'll find out on election day who has the most supporters. I'm a Republican, but I'll be voting for whoever I think will do a better job. I don't care what color or party that person belongs to. As of right now, I'm voting McCain. Senator Obama just hasn't won me over. He's made these claims of what he's going to do, but not how. He has shady friends (Rev Wright, Bill Ayers, etc.). He better do a lot better in the debates.
Re: .bommie –

I don't trust the internet, anything can be made up. Only thing I trust is watching the candidates speak, and the debates. I mean CNN just got busted for using a fake picture of Gov. Palin.
Re: cyatic910 –
Fair enough. I know people can't all agree on everything. But in terms of homosexuality for instance. I can understand why people have reservations against marriage, but why can't we at least accept the fact that when two people mutually love eachother and choose to be together, that this is not harmfull or a sin. How can love be a sin. Abortion is also a delicate issue, but to close the door on discussion the issue won't help anyone, especially not women who get pregnant from rape, abuse, etc. Stem cell research could potentially find cures for diseases we might all suffer from personally or lose loved ones to. Alzheimer's is in my family, and I would applaud people for finding a cure to it, then having to see another family member and all his relatives suffer through his last years untill his dying breath. I'm all for having an opinion, and all opinions matter! I would just hope the US public would vote for a president and office that at least is open to discussion, rather then locking down on certain subjects merely based on religios grounds. As government should represent people from all religions, races and walks of life.
But, yet again, read, educate, follow the debates and search for independant news outlets to find out who is the best candidate for you, and be 100% that when you vote, you vote for the best candidate!
I'm glad we had this talk.
Yea because Barack knows nothing about national security so of course every country wants him. It would be a whole lot easier to bomb us with his dumb ass as president
OMG, her arms are so gross!
that's because most americans are stupid. and the rest of the world is much more educated.
Re: robster –

Good talk. About Homosexuality, I'm Christian and believe it's wrong. That's it, that's my belief. I'm not going to push my beliefs on anybody though. How can love be a sin? What about NAMBLA? I think what they believe is wrong. As far as abortion, rape would be fine for an abortion, not for birth control. Stem cell research, adult only, no embryonic. What's wrong with basing my beliefs on my religion. I don't judge people because they aren't religious. Like I said before, if McCain wins, then more people believe with his ideas. If Senator Obama wins, then more people associate with his ideas. We all don't have to agree, but when you make your choice, choose who you think represents you the best. Right now I don't think Senator Obama is for me.
Who gives a damn what the "world" wants? The world does not believe Osama bin Laden attacked the U.S. on 9/11 according to a recent poll.
Re: cyatic910 –
If you knew your history, you would know that Reagan helped destroy the communist threat. How many more millions do you want murdered by the Communists? Your darling Russia has just invaded another country killing, raping and stealing. Clinton brought no peace to the middle east. During the Clintons reign thousands were murdered by Muslim terrorists. Muslims terrorist threatened to wipe Israel off the map. But that is ok by the leftist communist morons that claim Israel is there illegally. And as for homosexuality. What did Clinton do for gays in the US?????????????????????? NOTHING! Republicans have done far more for gay rights than any smarmy democrat has ever done. It took a Republican here in CA to cause the failure of a ballot initiate many years ago that was set to ban gay teachers. Our Republican governor has done more for gay rights than any of the moron democratic governors ever have.
Re: robster –
The world is not helped by international tensions because most of the world is too busy killing and maiming others and sit there on their lazy asses waiting for the US to come in and rescue them. And as for Iraq you need to educate yourself on the current military situation. More and more provinces are being turned over to Iraq because the military action has worked. Even Lipstick Obama has had to eat crow and admit it is working. There is no way in hell that Lipstick Obama is going to make a dramatic change in America. He is not even going to get elected. If he did then this country is headed for a downward economic spiral as he raises the taxes on middle America in order to give it to the non working welfare moochers.
Re: robster –
You also obviously do not travel much to Europe and the rest of the world. Every person I have come into contact with likes the US and wants to visit here someday. Many would even like to live here because their own countries are economic disasters and have outrageous high taxes. Republican presidents always make the news because they truly are about less government for the people. Democratic presidents tax us to death and make us into welfare states where they think the government needs to take care of everyone. Just look at the debacle of the Carter administration. There is nothing memorable about Carter's presidency other than death, murder and hostages. Obama has made no speech that has covered anything that reveals his plan for change. He has been all hot air for so many months. Now he is scrambling to recover from the astonishing and unexpected announcement of Palin. So far he has not recovered. He brought in Biden a 30 year veteran of the same old, same old to bring about his supposed new changes. McCain brought in an unknown that does not care about the opinions of leftists and the Daily Kooks crowd. Lipstick coated pigs are obviously the face of the New Democrats.
That would be because those people are jealous and hate Americans. They would like to see this country fall apart, and who best to make that happen than the bubbling idiot Barrack Obama!
look at the veins on the arms and hands it really start to be scary is she suffering from some kind of disease???!
The great thing about the US is that we get to vote, share our opinions and pick our leaders. Doesn't it concern you when other countries are that excited about the leader of the US? Do they sense a weakness in Obama? Do they think that he would be less involved in protecting our interests?
Her veiny arms are scary!
I'm glad Americans vote for the President, not the idiots in France.
Re: Oh Resist Her – Re: Oh Resist Her –
I was not suggesting that we poll every human being on earth. I was just making the point that polling 22,000 people and saying they represent the entire world is ridiculous. And by the way I will be voting for McCain and even though you're clearly going to vote for Obama I don't automatically assume that makes you an idiot. Because I am grown up I understand the simple notion that if other people don't view things exactly the way I do, it doesn't make them stupid. Maybe YOU should grow up.
I'm shocked at how many Kenyans want Obama to win…I wonder why…
Read OBAMA NATION!
Well gotta love madonna and she still looks better then most republicans half her age, having said that I'm glad shes vocal about who she supports, fascists and radical fundamnetalists from nazis to radical islam have always targeted celebrities and im not surprised the rightwing southern gop does that as well in this country,Hitler spewed hate against gays, celebrites, the media, intellectuals, elite schools, its always red meat for the uneducated lower class bigots to fire them up and make no mistake about it,in this country the republicans are red state uneducated ,religous zealot bigots to the core. They like the Palin bitch because shes the most anti-woman woman alive, she loves to kill big game and smacks her lips in hunger standing over her kill, she doesnt think we need one gun law in this country, everyone should have a gun no questions asked, she wants big gov to criminalize abortions while demanding that gov have no part in trying to reduce abortions, throught sex ed or condoms or the pill.,shes the redneck queen of abstinence because it worked so well with her daughter and her 4month old down syndrome baby. She will be the most anti-gay person ever elected if she makes it to the whitehouse, period, This scary palin taliban like whore says science is wrong with evolution, this radical who speaks in tongues says its all Jesus. She also says their is no global warming period. Ok and we all know shes not qualified on top of it. Vote for Obama senator from a huge state.
No Perez, The World DOES NOT want Obama, just the IDIOTS DO!!!!!!!! You stupid stupid people! Do you really think he can change the world? Make things better? With what experience? Come on, it's all lies. At least McCain has some real life scary experiences under his belt and been around longer to see how things are. Things like what he has been through can only make a person stronger, better and smarter! He is a solider, and American solider! A Proud American Solider! Someone that can lead this country in the direction it should be in. He is not Bush, just because he is Republican, he is John McCain and he can do things better !!!!!!
Because all these countries don't want a missile up their asses. When President McCain gets in he's going to do some serious conquering.
Why do americans think the world revolves around them and that everybody wants them to fail? And why does everyone think that the US is like some almighty-super-country that everyone wants to be like. stupid.
wow 22 000 people? that sure sounds like all the people in the world.. considering there are actually 6.5 billion people in the world. when did i get say that i want mccain to win the election? i dont recall that.
Re: succulent –
Moron, the reason the dollar is being "crushed" by the Euro and the Yuan is because we are still utilizing the Keynesian economic system. Neither Dems or Repubs are smart enough to realize that mercantilism is fine for a country just starting out but that now we are established enough that we need to switch to the economic theories and system utilized by the Dutch. We need a purer and less inhibited form of capitalism.
Re: cyatic910 –
You are very right not to believe everything you read on the netz, but i was referring to the issues and policies both candidates are discussing. No harm in finding out for your self what it exactly is they are talking about. If you read up on something you form your own opinion, than see if your opinion matches any of the candidates….nobody is 100% left or 100% right, but everybody has an opinion
Re: StoneM –
sorry but americans are not the prototipe (at last in europe) of "educated". Your education system stinks so bad.
I am pro american, but a bit of selfcriticism wouldnt do bad for you at some point
Re: COCACOLA –
sorry cocacola, im european and its not true that we are becoming muslims… u should think that we dont have latinoamerica near, but africa, and our inmigration comes from there. It is not a thing of religion but of proximity.
By the way, the new generations in europe, are more proamerica than you probably can imagine. Here we are proud of you. We have powerful social systems that are failing in giving response to new problems (one of them, inmigration) and that is too weak to impose us in our own home…
Anyway, my opinion and most of the opinion of people here, is that Obama will do no good for all of us. He is weak, he hasnt offered nothing but "dreams" (no solutions at all). Here we think that between the original candidates we would have said Hillary, but between McCain and Obama, McCain with no doubt…
The WORLD can see, from an outside perspective, that Republicans are just plain CRAZY and the US would be a much better place with Barack in charge. OBAMA 08 man i wish i could vote
jeez girl, stop doing curls. your starting to look like sylvester stallone.
TEAM BARACK!
YUK…HER HANDS, AND ARMS LOOK SOOOO OLD…WITH ALL THAT MONEY SHE HAS…SHE MIGHT WANT TO CONSIDER SOME WORK DONE.
Some of you Americans are so ignorant. Can't you see that if the WHOLE world has the SAME opinion, SOMETHING about it must have a point?
Bush fucked everything up, not only in the States, but everywhere. I'm a proud Belgian, and for real, everything your presidential fucktard decides has effect on us too. Don't you see?
McCain won't do anyone good.
AND WHAT THE FUCK COCA COLA? Half Europe muslim? WHERE DO YOU LIVE???
Ignorant, ignorant, ignorant.
We don't have a say, but we should, cause if we have to depend on you, everyone's going down.
Considering that we live on a planet surrounded by many other nations, the whole U.S.A chanting will only get you so far. Your country can only succeed, as any other country can, by working with each other and having support whether popular or otherwise.
After Sept. 11th, you guys had our sympathy and we were all ready to back you up. Your "choice" of a president decided to make his friends richer and infiltrated another country that wasn't even the ones originally attacking you.
So if you guys are smart (which, it seems that about half of you aren't so much) then you would look at how the world views you as a nation and really take that into consideration. Has your country really become a better place in the last 8 years or are you now in a recession and several trillion dollars in dept…and counting!
If you can all continue to be so brainwashed by fear mongering and promises of change (yeah big change going into very few pockets while the rest receive nothing but promises) then by all means, go forward, deteriorate what you have left and we'll be seeing you flounder, trying to fight your way back to super star status.
which is exactly why we shouldn't vote for Obama…why should what the WORLD wants, have any effect on our voting?
Obama for president 2008! Sarah Palin sucks donkey dicks and Macain does too.
Hello everyone, I'm the indie designer who hand-printed Madonna's shirt. You can find it for sale in my store: www.coup.etsy.com I'll also be posting my other top sellers from Soho (NYC) in the next few days.
Re: COCACOLA – Luv it! "With all my respect, are you nuts?", that's a pretty amazing line of dialogue, thanx.
