Matt Damon brings up some good points. I, too, think it was an odd decision on McCain's part. However, I will not judge him and say that it was done for political reasons, even though that is a possibility. And I do think many people are concerned about McCain's age and health. While he is in good health now, he has had melanoma. Melanoma can spread, even if the spot on the skin was removed. I just met someone who that happened to. He had a melanoma spot removed a few years ago and now it is throughout his entire body. Of course, that doesn't always happen. Also, I think a concern about McCain's age, is not the number but about health issues that can occur more easily to people of that age, and things such as dementia which can set in around 70 years old. Like Ronald Reagan, he was showing signs of dementia at the end of his last term. I think, understandably, that is a concern for many people when it comes to McCain's age and health. But, that is not what determines who can and will be a good president. I have a lot of respect for John McCain, but I understand where people's concerns about his age and health come from. I wish McCain and long, healthy life.

Well I am just as afraid of Obama in regards to lack of experience. The president is as strong as who he/she surrounds themselves with. And they will ultimately run the show. Asking Matt Damon to answer a question on a politician is like most politicians trying to act. Fred Thompson might be one of the only examples of someone who can do both. He has a right to express his opinion but comes off as foolish talking about her experience. I'd take 2 years of being a governor, over a guy who has accomplished little to nothing as an Illinois State and then a US Senator. Maybe he should text his comments to Ben Affleck and leave it at that. He comes off looking stupid.
