For example, service members as well as government civilians can attend political meetings or rallies. Military members can attend only as spectators and not in uniform. They're not permitted to make public political speeches, serve in any official capacity in partisan groups, or participate in partisan political campaigns.
This includes the Mccain posters on Ft Hood and Ft Carson…

Re: Minx – I agree, political science is a great major. Everyone SHOULD take at least 1 course. Also, no matter what one's stance is, it is great to have an actual opinion. Better to be opinionated than indifferent.
Of course it would have been great if Palin could have campaigned for herself. It was up to McCain to have introduced her to the public. Of course it was a strategic move, but then again, most everything in politics is. Politicians flip-flop on issues everyday — precisely for that reason.
Joe Biden said something interesting today about how Hillary "May have even been a better choice than I, for the veep position." What I find ironic now is that Obama supporters are saying Hillary HAS TO go to bat for Obama. WHY? She and Bill both said what she needed to say. Why should Hillary break her back to get Obama votes. It isn't her job to slam Palin. She did what she needed to do for the country, convince voters. Since Obama didn't need her on his ticket, since he thought he could win this on his own… then he should win on his own. Obama is meeting with Bill Clinton tomorrow for lunch. That should be interesting, eh? On the one hand if Hillary doesn't campaign for him, then it is her fault if he loses. If she DOES campaign for him and he loses, it is her fault. It is a lose/lose situation for her. She should be able to distance herself. It is NOT up to her to be the attack dog, that is Biden's job. If Obama wanted her to be an attack dog, he should have thought about that. Obama supporters want it all. He made his decision. You're championing the WRONG side then if you are arguing these points. Obama wants Uzi's and semi automatics off the streets. He wants bullet piercing armour off the streets, he wants safety locks on ALL guns and he wants people to wait 30 days for a background check BEFORE getting a weapon. If we did these things, Virginia Tech and Northern University shootings could have possibly been prevented. As for healthcare, I too have wondered why we do not have Universal H/C considering the fact that 80% of bankruptcies currently filed in America is BECAUSE of H/C. Obama also addressed this when he states why can't Americans have the same type of h/c that the governments has. BTW, we went from being the biggest creditor to the biggest debtor. I sometimes refer to it as pride rich and dirt poor.

You do have a valid point on criminals, they always find a way to get their hands on these things, I can't speak on other cities but for Chicago the main leak is dirty cops for these items. But the saddest thing a/b Northern University and Virgina Tech is that it was everyday civilians that committed these crimes and these two devastating crimes could have been prevented.So I don't look at gun requirements as punishment on the masses. Aside from criminals I do't like the idea of some person not wired right having easy access to weapons.

Go youtube it. McCain had 30 years to "change" and yeah he was once a Maverick and then STOPPED when he voted with C Student Dumbass Bush 90% of the time. McCain pushes his Vietnam experience yet he votes against our vets and troops while under Bush. Go google McCain votes against Vets. So yeah we owe him a forever thank you for his sacrifice but what about our Heroes coming home paraplegics and quadraplegics whose families are going broke paying teir medical bills that WE OWE THEM.
