Perezcious reader Sahara had a not so nice encounter with Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel on Wednesday night.
She shares with us what happened below - plus her sighting of Lauren Conrad and Chace Crawford. Are they "getting to know" each other????
Says Sahara:
"My friends and I were at southern hospitality last night celebrating a friends going away party. all of a sudden justin timberlake arrived–he was supposed to sit in the corner b/c the table was all set up but he decided to go sit in the private vip room instead–we were so sad because we couldnt stare at his beautiful face! a few hours later there were bodyguards and drivers running around the restaurant around so we knew jt was about to make an exit.
we asked the owner of the bar if a bunch of girls from memphis (us) could get a picture with him to celebrate our friends going back to memphis party and were answered with a stern NO. then 2 more guys come out from the back and yell out to everyone "stay where you are, don't move, keep this path open"–keep in mind the bar was at about 25% capacity or less. out walks justin and jessica holding hands and jessica with the same bitchy look on her face she ALWAYS has. as soon as my friend snapped the attached picture, jessica stopped in her tracks, turns around, and says to my friend (very loudly and totally trying to cause a scene), 'that was ruuuuuuuuuuuude!' even though there were 6 paprazzi outside! anyways, just thought you should know, apparently neither of them want to make their fans happy–they've definitely lost me!
after this the bar totally clears out. about 10 minutes later, who rolls up but lc, lo (way smaller in person–ran into her in the restroom and she was super nice) and CHACE CRAWFORD! we almost died because the bar at this point was basically empty except my friends and i. some more model types rolled in and they played flip cup and beer pong the rest of the night–a few times chace even came up to the bar to get pitchers of beer for the drinking games–what a gentleman

The problem with your theory is that people did not buy his music because of his personality; they bought his music because they like the music. Quite frankly, that is all he owes you is the product you paid for. It is lame to think that buying a CD, or a hamburger in his restaurant, means you have some unlimited and unconditional access to him.

Pretty sure how? Your problem is that you are missing the point. The issue is not paparazzi taking pictures of them, which would be perfectly acceptable if that occured in their work environment or at a celebrity event, but the issue is the 24/7 stalking. How would you like it if you were just doing your job, and everyone in society arbitrarily decided that your profession entitled them to be constantly stalking you, approaching you, touching you, staring at you, demanding a photo, demanding an autograph, while you are shopping, and driving, and running errands, and having medical and dental procedures; every minute, of every day? Seriously, the American culture is so far beyond selfish and arrogant, that you can't even see how desperate and low class you are for behaving like that. It is foolish, and that is how you are viewed by the rest of the world. Although, I'm sure you don't care much about that; since selfish, arrogant people rarely care about anyone other than themselves. There are givers, and there are takers. What I don't get about celebritys if is you really don't want to be bothered
why do you need to go out to a public place. If you wanted food you could
have called ahead and picked it up or stayed home and had something

Firstly, denying photos, autographs, conversations, whatever, with every single stranger they encounter every single day, is not defined as "ungrateful"; it is defined as "unavailable". Secondly, their fans did not "make" them. They "made" themselves by having an art that was in high demand, so every time someone claims entertainers owe everything they have to their fans, that tells me it is a person who has heard that somewhere along the way, and has chosen to "adopt it" as their "opinion", because if you really think about it, it doesn't make sense. They were not "made" by their fans; what they are is "successful" at what they do.

Yeah those cunts were both in Colorado recently and they were super rude. My 15 year old sister's friend asked Justin for an autograph and he just said, "NO!". Some celebrities are ridiculous!!! Your most recent performance could have been your last. You think celebrities have a bottomless wealth because you hear of multi-million dollar paydays, but at the same time, it is a very expensive profession. Bodyguards in Hollywood can cost several thousand dollars per day. And everyone thinks that because you have wealth, that you should pay for everything that comes along, but if you did that, you wouldn't have your wealth for very long. Obviously, owning a restaurant can be a very financially-rewarding investment, and smart people ensure their financial future by investing in financially-rewarding endeavours. You say "he promotes his restaurant because he wants people to come there and make him money"… well yeah, by buying the food items offered for sale on the menu, just like any other restaurant. It's difficult for me to understand why you can't get that.

Taking 10 photos is gonna take you a whole 15 minutes. Not really a lot to ask when you're wanting people to spend their hard earned cash on your music and tickets to the show!

And just to add, I used to work for a security company dealing with events and concerts and Justin came to town twice. The first time, if any women had to work backstage, which they usually do (nurses, searchers for female patrons) and Justin appeared they had to ensure their backs were turned to him and then the second time he stipulated that absolutely NO women work backstage at all as he didn't want them looking at him.

They acquired their fans in the first place by presenting their art. At what point does the crossover occur between consuming the art, and owning "on demand" access to the artist? If their career depends on their fans, and then they have no more fans (as a result of a boycott that flowed from an unfulfilled demand) then it would also mean that the fans would no longer have that art to comsume, which is what brought them to the artist in the first place.
