I voted for Clinton and Gore, although I am a registered republican. I prefer to do the research though and vote based on that, not on a party affiliation. I am not anti-gay, in fact, I am fortunate to have several amazing friends, who also happen to be gay. Whoopi Goldberg was absolutely disgusting… I don't care if she doesn't like John McCain or his stances… When they showed a clip of his release from prison and talked of his service to the country. EVERY view host and the audience applauded. Miss Goldberg sat with her arms crossed and a pissed off look on her face. She needs to recognize and respect his service —Military servicemen like John McCain fought to give her the freedom so she could be a bitch who screwed over 50 guys… the least she could do is wipe the bitch glare off for 5 seconds when everyone applauded his service

Good point, that is how all presidential candidates should present themselves, but that environment can be volatile at the View. They nearly take each other's heads off half the time, so I think he did really well. I have liked John McCain for over a decade. I cannot stand George W., but I liked his father (for the most part). I think McCain and George are so completely different - in not only their core character, but also their work ethic, leadership skills and sense of awareness. Obama makes fun of McCain's inability to send an email, but McCain's awareness of not only his weakness', but also his need to give government back to the people is what make him so much stronger. McCain has that 'bigger than oneself' aspect of leadership figured out. I think Obama was to be a Manager and McCain will be a leader.

Wow, Barbara let her emotions get the best of her during this interview. She asked him good questions, but when you ask a question, leave enough time for the other person to answer… Cindy used to scare me a bit bc she reminded me of a Newport Beach mom, but I've really grown to like her. I think she's less fake than Michelle. When you hire someone for a job, you pick a person that has the best experience for that position. It's so clear that McCain has the experience that Obama is lacking. They both have great ideas, but I think McCain's going to be able to get the job done.

Perez - I love you but you are killing me with the biased reporting on the candidates. I think their goal today was to have a heated discussion. I think McCain held his own. The fact is that politicians all try to have "pretty answers" to attract everyone. At least McCain has a long record in Washington to show what he stands for versus a long record of "not voting."

Barbra Walters was SO UNPROFESSIONAL it was pathetic, she interupted him and almost had a look of disdain on her face.
