The last part of the Sarah Palin sit-down interview with ABC's Charile Gibson aired on Friday.
To us, it looks like Sexy Sarah resorted to the standard politician tactic of 'stir the pot' to win some points for her team.
Palin re-opened the Hillary wounds that the Dems tried so hard to heal at their Denver convention.
The Alaskan governor said:
"I think he's (Barack Obama) regretting not picking her now, I do. What, what determination, and grit, and even grace through some tough shots that were fired her way — she handled those well."
Is she implying that Hillary supporters will come to her camp now?
Would a true Hillary support really go over to the McCain/Palin ticket? Just because Sexy Sarah has a vajayjay???
Palin is the complete opposite of Hillary on POLICY.
They don't see eye to eye on abortion rights, stem cell research, environmental policies and gun control.
Logic to us says that people who would support Sarah would NEVER have supported Hillary, right?
Could you ever see Hillary demand that a librarian censor books from a library, like Sarah reportedly did as mayor?
If you are a Hillary supporter who is going over to the other side, we'd love to know why.

It's absolutely inane to choose your presidential candidate based on vagina. Although I'm a woman and I consider myself a feminist and want to enter politics as a woman, I can't possibly support Sarah Palin. I fully support Obama and, honestly, I have since Day 1. Obama is the future, and I'm more concerned with moving America forward than I am getting a woman in the White House.
Also, I don't think Obama is regretting not picking Hillary. Part of picking a VP is picking someone who can balance you out. The modern VP can either take the position of being a trusted adviser or someone who goes to funerals when the president doesn't feel like it. And Obama chose Biden because he views the VP as someone to fill the first. Hillary wouldn't balance Obama out the way Biden does. Biden brings 36 freaking years of Senate experience, including being chair of the Foreign Relations committee.
Picking a VP for campaign reasons is tacky and dangerous; if McCain kicks it, can Palin lead the country?
If Obama gets elected… I'm sure we will have the Middle East version of Hitler come in to power…

Many women, especially blue collar ones were already on the fence between Hillary and McCain. After the way the Democratic Party, the party that's supposed to support women, stole the election from Hillary and mistreated her and her "old female" supporters by ridiculing them in the media, of course many are going to realize that sexism is rampant in both parties and they'll vote for the one that is putting a woman in an unprecedented place of power. And they're still not voting for a woman in the numbers that black Americans are voting for a black American. To be fair, you have to include Barack's 95% support in the black community if you're going to hold women accountable for voting for someone because she shares their struggles.

How about Obama is simply not ready for the job?! I, as a woman, thought Clinton would have more properly balanced the ticket, but Obama's ego (or his wife) got in the way - a true measure of his character. I did switch parties - 1. women are LONG over due to be represented in the White House, 2. McCain's record of liberalism balances out Palin's conservative views. Go McCain/Palin!

The only reason why these females would vote for a McCain and Palin ticket is because they are racist. The party hasn't seen someone like Obama in so long, he is going to do amazing things for this country. We couldn't ask for more, yet many are backing away because of his color. She had a big fight with the librarian who told her she was against it and threatened to fire her. The city attorney told her she could NOT do it as it would violate the U.S. Constitution. She lost the battle to ban the books. However now she wants to be VP and maybe the President one day! YIKES! She will burn the Constitution. This woman is an extremist nut! Real Clear Politics electoral count now shows McCain leading Obama 227-217 excluding toss ups. Obama was leading a week ago 217-189. McCains lead stems from lockng down battleground states. Obama still leads 273-265 toss ups included. The tide is turning.

As a woman who lives in Alaska, I will not be voting for McCain. I was a Hillary fan, but unfortunately, she lost out in the primaries, and never thought she'd be on the ticket as VP, because frankly, I would not expect her to settle for second place. Sarah Palin is a decent lady, but she is not right for VP, or god-forbid, President, and aside from shocking the hell out of me, John McCain's choosing her in no way swayed me, even for a second.

Well, I WILL be voting McCain/Palin and I am a Democrat. I am NOT switching from HIlary to Palin because she is a woman. I am voting for McCain because we as Americans are uneducated about what is going on overseas and are being led by the media. My brother has been to Iraq twice, once after 9-11 and his last tour ended 4 months ago. The difference is AMAZING. We are not told about Oliver North and the contras. Unfortunately, society is not smart enough to handle things on their own and uses abroortion as a means of birth control- AND IT IS NOT! If you sleep around and have abortions, you are WRONG and it should not be allowed. If you are on food stamps and keep breeding you should be stopped. i was an edwards supporter, but he dropped out. then i picked hillary but she's gone. now i'm leaning towards mccain. policy is important, but so are actual plans and ability to get stuff done. i listen to obama and it's all "change" but no plans on how he actually plans to change. he's by far the most liberal person ever to run for president in recent times which i see as a real problem. a lot of politics is compromising to get things done, and i just don't see obama capable of that. plus, he has no real experience yet. in a decade or so i think he has potential to be a great president, but not right now. but he still was a real douche for the stuff he did to sen clinton. the whole 3 am thing was too immature for me to support.
i'm not the biggest palin fan, but i switched sides before her nomination was announced. i'm fairly confident nothing will happen to mccain while in office. the president is sooo well taken care of medically. and after looking at mccains policies, i'm not in such a disagreement with them. i love his plan for immigration, and although i don't agree with overturning roe v wade, he has said he supports states rights to decide these sorts of things, which i think is a valid position to hold.

This part of the interview was so embarressing. Gibson looked at her like 'woh, this woman is an idiot' and laughed. She really thinks because she's a woman Clinton voters will vote for her when she's opposite when it comes to policy. In a later post you state that you want people to be educated on sex and the consequences of it, but isn't that exactly what McCain and Palin do not want to happen. They are against sexual education.

Democrats want sex education to be part of high school curriculums, something republicans aren't to happy about it. Even though this is a crucial and important time to inform young teenage girls and boys about the dangers, responsibilities and consequences that come with having sex! Maybe, had Palin's daughter been well informed, would she not been pregnant! And she's lucky enough to have a family who can help and support her and still have a chance at an education. Millions of teenage young pregnant girls do not have this luxury! Education and preventation is everything, but controlled and regulated posibility of abortion should not be simply denied in all cases but be determined with medical staff on a case to case basis!

Democrats are also most likely in favor of banning legal activities such as smoking cigarettes. In many places, people of age can no longer smoke in a bar — where you have to be 21 years old to get inside. Palin did try to have some books banned from the Wasilia Library and then tried to fire the librarian for not complying. End of story.

The person who had been the mayor testified to the FACT that she had asked about banning books. She did, in fact, fire the librarian, but had to reinstate her because of public opinion as was reported in the local paper at the time. What more do you want!?
For these Palin supporters: The book banning was NOT a rumor. Palin did not ban any books, nor did she create a list of books, in writing, to be banned. She attempted to ban certain books by testing the waters, and tried to fire the librarian in question when she did not support her. This is not exactly an unusual tactic on Palin's part. She is well-known in Alaska for firing those in positions that do not support her or agree with her. She takes these things very personally.
If people want to investigate her background and get at the truth, it is their right to do so. No one is attacking Palin on personal issues; they are reviewing her views and actions as a public servant and offical as they would have a direct impact on the American voters and the future of our country. So, please, take your ignorant and phony histrionics somewhere else.

Exactly Poodle!! Was I very disappointed.. and a little pissed that Obama didn't pick Hillary for VP… or even seem to consider it a viable possibility? Yes! In fact, I still don't like Obama all that much. I think that he made a huge mistake not picking Hillary. But, that in no way means that just because I don't like what happened.. my politics or my morals have changed. Mccain/Palin would be a complete and utter disaster for this country. This is not about voting for a person based on their gender, Hillary was right because she was the complete package… the right policies… the right determination etc. Sarah Palin is the definition of being diametrically opposed to Hillary Clinton. Perez, you really need to correct the record. Palin said she has never banned or requested to ban books in the public library. Palin is extremely attractive to many voters because of her positions on less government, getting spending under control and having a strong national defense. In most cases, government is not the solution and she believes strongly in giving the power back to the people. She had a very impressive record in Alaska, it would be worth your while to actually know all of the facts before you try to impress upon your very large audience. With your success does come some responsibility.
