"This woman hates women. She is not a feminist. She is not the woman that's going to come behind Hillary Clinton and do anything that Hillary Clinton would've been capable of … I can't imagine overturning Roe vs. Wade. She's not of this time. The woman terrifies me."

The lack of respect between the two parties and towards the rest of the world is mind-boggeling. I hear people see people talking about standards and morals but disrespecting people with different opinions from them and cussing like a sailor. That's hypocritical.
If you ask me why people, and especially women, would think that Palin is a danger to women's rights, for me, it would not be so much her pro-life stance. It's how she chooses to handle sex. From what I have heard (and you can correct me if I'm entirely wrong about this) her young daughter who is about to have a baby, has a boyfriend who commented on his myspace that he's not ready to be a dad, and he doesn't want to marry, yet he's being forced into marriage! Now, of course he has to take his responsibilities.
Her own daughter proved that teaching about abstinence at school would not work anymore. Young people are going to have sex anyway. I'm proud of anyone who holds on to their virginity for the right person. But that's just not the case anymore. And not teaching young people about sex would be dangerous, resulting in pregnancies and STD's. Being well-informed is not a crime.

It just keeps getting worse. Yesterday John McCain took the lead (for the first time) in the Real Clear Politics electoral count 227-217 with tossups excluded. Today, McCain's lead expands as Obama gives up 10. McCain takes a 20 point lead 227-207. Since Obama's lead declined, we are seeing more Blue states fall into the toss up category. Not good news for Barack.

Clinton won in '92 because almost 20 million people voted for Ross Perot (I was one of them). If I had to do it all over again I would have voted Bush I. I was young and stupid and swayed by Perot's no nonsense position on the economy and deficit spending. Fortunately, Clinton and the Congress took Perot's ideas to heart, put them in place and turned the country around.

To those of you supporting Ron Paul or Bob Barr: OMG….Why??? Have you heard Ron Paul speak? He is a total idiot. Would you really want THAT for President? He can barely form a sentence. It's embarrassing. …and Bob Barr…he is a political punch line. Stay home, save your gas money and reduce your carbon footprint on that day. That's more symbolic than a throw-away vote. No matter what your political beliefs, don't let other's votes decide for you.

Re: mamajud – Well, as far as I know, Ron Paul hasn't accepted. He said he wants to stay "independent" from Barr. Although, they are similar, Ron Paul has been my man of choice for a long time. Barr just switched 2 years ago, which leads me to believe he isn't being totally honest with us. I guess I'm too biased to trust him right now;)
