Pink on Palin

Filed under: Politik > Pink > Sarah Palin

pinkpalin.jpg

It's girl-power rocker Pink's turn to chime in on the GOP VP pick, Sarah Palin.

In a new interview the Pennsylvania gal said:

"If I were writing a letter to Sarah Palin it would be a lot of whys and hows. Who are you? Do you know? Why do you hate animals? Please point out Iraq on a map …"

"This woman hates women. She is not a feminist. She is not the woman that's going to come behind Hillary Clinton and do anything that Hillary Clinton would've been capable of … I can't imagine overturning Roe vs. Wade. She's not of this time. The woman terrifies me."

Wow! Hockey mom Sarah is good at 'scaring people'!

Is that a good thing?!

Re: characterassasination1 – It's just my opinion and I'm sticking to it. Sorry:)

  3. 703

We all love Sarah, but Pink is an old ugly girl that is old and ugly.

  4. 704

    Re: UGLY=PEREZ
i like how you put that….well said.

  5. 705

    Spirit girl,

I want you to know that I feel for you. I don't know how I would be as a soldier's wife. You're living through something I haven't.

I'm sure you're tired and worn out. I would be, too.

I will pray for you're husband, as I pray for the many troops that oversee peace in an uncertain world. '

I"m not a religious person, but I do believe in Christ.

    I hear you.

  6. 706

Re: rockymountainmama – Your obviously clueless and I wish you would change your name to White Trash, that's more in line than naming yourself after the Rockies!

  7. 707

    Sarah is so much cuter
    than pink. Sarah is smart
    I love smart chicks.
and of couse I approved this effen message.

  8. 708

Wow. Usually I just stop by Perez for daily updates, but this feed really pissed me off and made me want to comment.
    1. I hate celebrities that play this game. I am famous listen to me because I think I understand politics. They are American and do have the right to voice their opinions, but most of them go too far. Pink is definitely one of those people. So I will concede that point to the neocons on this feed. However, that does not mean that what Pink said was necessarily wrong. Disregarding her celebrity for a moment, she is right that Palin is not a feminist. She is a woman, but she and Hillary have completely different views on most issues. It was unfair to say that "This woman hates women," because truthfully all Palin hates are "progressive women's rights." These are two different things.

  9. 709

    2. It is not okay to compare Obama to Hussein. He is not Muslim, and even if he was, insinuating that his religion makes him unworthy of the office is inherently un-American. A politician’s religion is their personal belief system and should only be considered a factor if they use it as a crutch for their policies. In modern politics, this is a practice used by most, if not all, republicans. Most democrats (but not all) use alternate forms of reasoning to guide their policies, the most important being respect for the individual as a unique being deserving of the right to “pursue happiness” based on his/her own belief system. Therefore, it must be concluded, that religion is not the issue, legislating one’s personal morality is. For more discussion on this topic, see point 3.

  10. 710

I completely agree that Sarah Palin is not a feminist. She may be a strong woman, but she does not stand for women's rights.

  11. 711

    3. On the abortion issue, because many of you on here still see Obama as a baby killer. As a society there are morals that we all share. However, in order to free and fair, we must respect that other people see things differently. I respect that other people may be very religious and conservative on certain issues. I respect raising a family and living in a community that matches your values. I even respect that certain groups will be racist, sexist, and classist—it’s their right to be. But I cannot and will not support a ticket (Mccain/Palin) that so blatantly favors one ideology at the expense of another. The goal should be to maximize each individual’s right to choose the path and the lifestyle that best meets their own world view. So, in supporting pro-choice legislation it’s not that I choose to support abortion. I personally could never have one. I am agreeing that individuals different than myself and living under different circumstances should have the right to make that decision themselves. Regulation of the process is a must as we are dealing with human life—two of them. This position, Obama’s position, is not the best policy (either way you look at it, you are taking someone’s rights away) but it is the most nuanced and comprehensive.

  12. 712

    3. con't….. It allows both parties some leeway in exercising what they believe the best course of action in the event an unwanted pregnancy occurs. For those who still disagree, because I know you’re out there, if you don’t support pro-choice then please get out in impoverished communities that are suffering from high birth rates. You’re the hypocrite if you bible thump values and morality, tell females to have babies they can’t support, then shake your head when they need government assistance. The reality is adoption is not an option for most minority women because they know their child will end up in the foster system (which Republicans refuse to fund adequately). Most people looking to adopt want white or international babies. Look up statistics at the library or online if you don’t believe me; educate yourself please.

  13. 713

    4. Obama has a different kind of experience. He has played an important political role in Illinois for some time now, has co-sponsored several bills, and has been more than transparent in his decision-making process. He is not stupid and he understands the issues. You may not agree with him, but his knowledge of politics, social problems, and national security is very developed. He is more than competent in the key areas that make a great president, yet he is not entrenched in the political culture of D.C. He represents change because he is a different kind of candidate. That being said he is not perfect, not close. McCain is tough competition and Obama knows it. As a citizen I want to hear more debate on the issues and not the smear adds that attack both of their personal characters.

  14. 714

    5. Palin needs to do her homework and create a more detailed summary of where she stands on issues. In her interview with Charlie Gibson she was incredibly vague and actually seemed to be avoiding questions. If she agrees with Bush on issues, fine, please let us know. As citizens we have a right to know exactly what issues she cares about and what policies she wants to implement. The more we know, the more we are empowered to make decisions that are actually based on something concrete. As democrat I am not above voting for Republicans if I think they are good leaders with solid values, smart ideas, and concern for the average Joe. So far, her antics and childish behavior have not impressed me; more than anything she has made me question whether this country is electing qualified leaders.

  15. 715

    6. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE…everyone do a little reading about all the candidates. This election is historic, but the current situation in the United States is a more important agenda. Don’t believe ads or sound bites. Read for yourself and understand exactly what is going on.

  16. 716

  17. 717

    To Spiritgirl,

Isn't it funny? how we can come together? You and I don't see eye-to eye, yet we love our country,
Hang in there, baby. Your husband rockz]. Yet - you rock more!!!

Re: Beachy – I knew you were a big softy ;)
    Have fun…Tschüs!

  19. 719

Re: BabyJokerSisterz – You would change political parties and ideals just so you could vote for a woman? Why not try voting for the party that means something to you and that promises you changes you want. Also, protecting and enhancing women's rights is more important than checking a ballot with the name of a woman for feminism.

  20. 720

    Dear Ann Meagan,

Were you born in the 50's? My God - you are an ass. You bring shame upon our gender.

Get over it already. Do you want a half-white guy that beats up on women?

He's toast and he knows it.

    Community oganizer What a fraud.

  21. 721

Man, if that fuckin cunt(Palin) gets in office, then I'm moving to Canada. It wouldn't surprise me a bit being that the U.S. is full of racist bigots. U stupid motherfuckers are so busy bashing P!nk and Obama that you dumb fucks don't even take the time out to think about Healthcare, our Troops, and all the poverty in our nation. All of you sons of bitches should just do us all a favor and put guns to your heads and blow what's left of your fucked up brains out. But please do it before Election Day! Maybe then, this country could have hope.

  22. 722

Well, I see that the comments on this post is still going strong.

hmm. It's early, and I'm bored. What are we debating about now.

I hope you have your passport in hand. You're an ass.

  26. 726

Re: Beachy – Ann Meghan, You are a true soul. Thank you for being so honest on these boards. I have read some of your posts. Women who understand this election and the issues, know that Palin is not the choice for women's rights. She may be the right choice for religious conservatives, corporate executives, and other elitist groups, but she does not represent the values of the progressive women's rights movement. She is a strong woman, but a woman who looks at the status quo and says we can go backwards. I respect her tenacity, but I don't understand her or her views. Maybe if she explained herself more instead of attacking Obama/Biden (and Reid of all people), we could formulate a different opinion of her. Until then, she's just another conservative who wants me to fall in behind her not on podium for myself and others.

You don't know anything!! 600 a.d.?? This is 2008 and they're not like those muslims from then anymore!! So just shut up!!

  30. 730

Re: Beachy – Half-white guy that beats up on women? How about a mom who knowingly gets on a plane while she's in labor with a special needs child? Both arguments are unfair and tell us nothing about the ISSUES.

  31. 731

Re: xXTOMXx – a lot of them are like the muslims from then- read the news much?

  32. 732

Re: Beachy – Tell me . . . how does he beat upon women. Also, what factor does his race have in this?

  33. 733

Re: PLEZZZ – have one already, but thanks. you should get one too. blogging can be freeing and a great intellectual exercise. as for your attack, why don't you look through my comments and try to find grammatical errors. those are always nice comebacks. seriously, grow-up and respond with something meaningful. maybe i'll make time to comment and/or maybe you'll look like you actually know something other than weakass, baseless attacks.

    Re: I.Z.

  36. 736

    Re: AnnMeaghan
Honey, she did try voting for the party(Democratz) that meant the world to her
    BUT
the party didn't listen to the people and put me in
and she lost all hope in her party
what did you expect her to do?
I am not hilary, I was too good to pick hilary, ok, my wife wouldn't let me..she's jealous.
So don't blame these people, there shouldn't be parties anyway.
HILARY'S NAME SHOULD BE ON THAT TICKET
MORE PEOPLE LIKE HER THAN ME.
    VOTE PALIN
UNLESS HILARY SHOWZ UP BY SOME MIRACLE FROM ”GOD”.

  37. 737

Re: Bronte34 – thanks! your thoughts on any of this?

  38. 738

Re: secondcoming – Muslims from were?? The minority from the middle east?? There are muslims all over the world and if alot of them were like that, then the whole world would be destroyed…but hey it isn't!

  39. 739

Re: kikicrato2 – "He represents change because he is a different kind of candidate"………can you please tell me specifically how this statement is true??……..the only explanation I have been able to dig up is that he represents change b/c he says he does. The way he has conducted himself in this election shows me nothing but politics as usual.

  40. 740

i cant believe what i just read
seriously pink? was once your fan now just hating on you for this.
i love perezhilton i check this site everyday
but what makes me mad is wondering why sarah palin is so hated
when she found out her baby had down syndrome she still had it?
she's the govenor and comments like that just piss me off
what the fuck does she know about anything
she is not against abortion. but she is not for. she respects people's choices.
and how the fuck does she terrifie you? a woman being able to speak infront of millions of ppl and still stand strong after beeing publicly criticized ? sarah palin is great and im a proud supporter of mccain/palin.

  41. 741

Re: kikicrato2 – i agree wiht u 110%! thats wat i feel and wat i was saying ppl are so blind and close minded and dont look at at benifits everyone in the country not just them its nice to see that someone is intelligent enough to point out the truth

a too-high-proportion who are fanatics, or support the fanatics, or "can understand" the fanatics, or don't actively denounce the fanatics

  44. 744

Re: mamajud – mamajud, on perez that statement "he is a different kind of candidate" is an oversimplification. you are absolutely right to pull that out and question it. in a college class or in a research paper, i would say that he is the best opportunity for change in this country. his grassroots background, civil rights activism, radical campaign tactics (primarliy in terms of fundraising), and personality, even his race, make him a different kind of candidate. to be honest, a true candidate of change would be too radical for most people to swallow. an individual that would tackle the elitist tradition of politics and guarantee rights to oppressed people; reogranize wealth and give the land/power back to the people; would operate a true market economy free of regulation; build a massive army that would rival that of china's; would stop exploiting the resources of developing nations…all of these things are radical and would be either good or bad depending on your personal philosophy. america can't handle a true candidate of change, but in this election the candidate that represents the best chance for change is obama. time will only tell if his rhetoric can be matched by his actions.

  45. 745

Re: cathii – I feel really sorry for her that she has a baby with downsyndrome, no one deserves that, but she's using the baby just to get pity votes! That's not cool…she's dragging that kid everywhere….I know she wants to win but this is wrong!

  46. 746

Re: yourazzzuckzbuttermilk – Hillary wouldn't want the vote of someone who would throw out everything they believe in (universal healthcare, gun control, pro-life, women's rights, attacking global warming, etc.) to support a woman who believes in NOTHING that Hillary supports just because she has a vajajay. As a former Hillary supporter, it would be unfathomable for me to vote for McCain/Palin. It makes no sense at all!!! To do so would be to behave like a 3-year-old throwing a temper tantrum and sacrificing the country as a result.

  47. 747

Re: Miss Marigold – I know that the first amendment is hard for republicans to understand, so I will forgive the ignorance of your post.

  48. 748

Re: cathii – Of course she's against abortion! She said she wants to overturn Roe v. Wade!!! Are you kidding me?

  49. 749

If we all have a right to voice our opinions, Pink definitely has a right to voice her opinion…that's what makes America great! Pink brings up a good point - Palin is the antithesis of Hillary. If you were a Hillary supporter based on her policies/beliefs, you will not vote for McCain just because he chose Palin. It does bother me that the potential VP doesn't believe in evolution. Roe v. Wade will never be overturned, so I don't care about her beliefs on abortion…although it does bother me that she is against a woman having the right to choose if even if she's raped. Anyway, it will be an exciting election!

  50. 750

mamajud, another way to think of it, is who represents the greatest change from the current republican agenda? not mccain or palin. who represents the greatest change from the current democratic agenda. not biden. obama is still new, he's fresh, he's not part of the "good ole boys club;" not yet anyway. his ideas about people's involvement in government are different. the funding of his campaign is different (although he exaggerates here). his philosophy of government is different (than what we've seen for the last 8 years anyway). his attack style is different. his voting record is one of moderate reform. we won't really know how much change he promises until he gets in office, if he ever gets there. mccain used to be presented as a different kind of republican. he's changed a bit and his voting record has become more hard-lined, but he too was more of a maverick than people give him credit for. "was" being the key word there.

  51. 751

Re: secondcoming – Wow I never knew Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Saudi Arbia and the U.S were the only countries on earth…Those are the only minorities in these countries that want chaos….the rest of the muslims don't care about them!

  52. 752

Haha WoW! How about we ask those same questions to Obama. Its ashame that you discredit Palin who has more experience than Obama and shes only running for Vice President. All these liberal celebrities need to shut their pie holes and get a clue. Perhaps you should point out where your fame has been going as of late bc it sure aint going up. Maybe Palin wants to bring respect back to women..show that we're as good as men..we can hunt, we can have a big family, and we can run for Vice President..A Superwoman. And she doesnt have to pretend to be a cold lesbian like Hilary Clinton or act like a whore like most women do in this day and age to get attention, fame, and acceptance..because let me tell you..SO FAR IT HASNT WORKED. A modern woman of today..WHO HAS RESPECT FOR HERSELF, AND HAS A MODERN FAMILY WHO FACES THE SAME ISSUES BUT IS SMART AND HAS HIGH HOPES FOR THIS COUNTRY. SHE IS LIKE A MOTHER WHO'S BRINGING US HOME. comments to “Pink on Palin” (RSS feed)

  54. 754

Matt Dumbass, Whore Pink, P Dumbass keep talking.

  55. 755

Bristol's mom has got goin' on!

  56. 756

    okay, mamajud, Five Key Areas:

    1. Fundraising Tactics - still holding out better than people thought he could
    2. Experience - as a newbie he hasn't been corrupted by old style politics, yet he the right combination of skills/knowledge to make a great president
    3. Race - signifies great change for America especially with regard to her racist past
    4. Energizing Different Base - young people are motivated more than they ever have been; he ACTUALLY speaks to us
    5. Ethics and Lobbying Reform - he's been at the forefront of these efforts. Lobbyists have changed the nature of the political game. This point is perhaps the most important reason why Obama represents change. Get the lobbyists out of the way or at least decrease their power and you start giving the political system back to the people.

  57. 757

Re: Vivbabe – Im with you! Unfortunately the blind sheep that call themselves republicans don't do their research, and will base their vote on fear( of a modern president with REAL results) and faith in an old man with nothing new to offer, but a bait in the form of a pretty woman with 0 foreign policy experience or knowledge in what it takes to "reform" our country…we see what great of a job she's done with her own state…

  58. 758

pink couldnt have said it any better!!! All you republicans…are pretty messed up people….pro war/ pro guns…anti feminist….wow..how do you guys live with yourselves!

  59. 759

  60. 760

    Re: Bronte34 – I TOTALLY agree!

  61. 761

Re: Jenny2 – more propaganda from the LYING replublicans…not at all surprised!

  62. 762

Re: kikicrato2 – my worry is about his ideas about the gov't's involvement in the people, not the other way around…….if he would spend his advertising $ educating the voters on policy, instead of making petty jokes about of McCain's age, we wouldn't have to gamble away our votes on what his definition of change might be………seriously, don't you think he has had enough of a platform to get the word out?
    .
    .
.reminds me of clinton………….what is "is" anyway?

  63. 763

Re: kikicrato2 – Yes, Obama has tackled the elitist tradition…by going to Harvard Law and running for offices there.
    -
As someone who goes to an ivy, if you really want to tackle this tradition, you distance yourself from the school and the people and you get the best education you can. Columbia and Harvard? Are you fucking kidding me?
    -
The only reason he even has a chance today is because of the elitist connections he made at his alma mater.

  64. 764

This is hysterical! Another idiot for obama! pink didn't even go to high school!

  65. 765

Re: xtinamarie – Tell me what foreign policy Obama has. He was a junior senator that was absent during most of the voting…
    -
So because he lived in Hawaii and went to Kenya twice he has foreign policy experience?
    -
Palin actually ran an entire state. Tell me something comparable Obama did…and no community organizing, while being an admirable effort, is not enough.

  66. 766

Re: kikicrato2 – Kiki, you're praising Obama for his lack of experience and being a 'newbie'. Why then, do you attack Palin for the same thing? Couldn't you say the same?

  67. 767

Again I totally agree! Palin is extremely scary. McCain only picked her to get the female vote. The only way he could have picked a worse candidate for vice president is if he picked Bin Laden himself!

  68. 768

Re: Sundae_Rose – Palin has fame for more negative reasons right now than positive ones. Mostly, people can't stop commenting on her absolutely horrible interview with Gibson. Oh, and then there's her family and all of the rumors circulating there. While the dems have their experience issue to worry about, the republicans have a woman parading on Christian values but who represents something different entirely. And lost in all of this is who has the best program and set of policies to turn this country around. How is she going to help my family? How is she going to protect my rights. How is she going to help my students get better books and a school that is not falling apart? How is she going to create high paying jobs that people in this country deserve? How is she going to protect my community while not completely stripping me of my freedom? How is she going to solve the energy crisis, because we all know drilling is not a solution (maybe it helps short-term, but long-term policies require planning and foresight)? How is she going to help our young girls who are getting pregnant too young?

  69. 769

Re: _Alice_ – #680 Alice, if you go back to my posts, the only time I fire back high spirited is when people use filthy language for their post and they're really not contributing to any discussion. It's just a cesspool of words. I note that 95% of these useless posts are from left wingers, and I don't mean Democrats. When people write like that, it tells me that they really don't know the issues, so they throw insults that are meaningless. They think it's hurtful, but it makes them look like the morons they must be. Why do you pass up those posts and no comment from you about their filthy, nonsensical words. Could it be they get a pass because they are insulting McCain/Palin and their supporters?

  70. 770

    Re: kikicrato2
    1. maybe he is better suited to be a lobbyist
    2. false
    3. nobody should base their vote on race or sex
    4. i never said he was dumb, he knows young people love sugary drinks
    5. has he spent any of his time in d.c. focusing on these issues yet?

  71. 771

Re: SmellyVirus/MileyCyrus – I am not criticizing Palin for her lack of experience I am upset because with all of her "experience" she hasn't given us any indication that she knows how to fix things.

  72. 772

Re: kikicrato2 – Your response on Obama being pro-active on ethics and lobbying is a flat out LIE! Obama posted more than a billion dollars in earmarks last year ALONE! He also REFUSES to make public the who the lobbyists are who are working on his campaign. His camp admits he has them, but WON"T SAY WHO THEY ARE! I just saw this on CNN five minutes ago. Why so shady and secretive, Obama? What is there to hide? McCain has a PROVEN RECORD of fighting pork-barrell spenind and lobbyist. In fact, they call him the "Sheriff" in the Senate because he pursues special interest so vigilantly. And that's just the tip of the iceberg on your faulty rants full of lies and mistruths. McCain is the real change agent…Obama is just a bunch of empty words dressed up in an empty suit.

  73. 773

Right on Pink! You share my sentiments too! I'm going to volunteer at Obama office as I Hate Sarah Palin and everything she stands for. McCain is too old and out of touch with reality. I'm sick of the media lovefest over Palin. She is incompetent and should not be running for VP.

  74. 774

Re: SmellyVirus/MileyCyrus – "Tackling elitist tradition" in comment 760 was not in reference to Obama. I was telling mamajud that a true candidate of change would not win in this country; basically, that Obama was the best chance for the change this country needs to turn around.

  75. 775

Re: peachonearth – You're outta here!! hahaha yeah right

  76. 776

Re: SmellyVirus/MileyCyrus – "As someone who goes to an ivy, if you really want to tackle this tradition, you distance yourself from the school and the people and you get the best education you can. Columbia and Harvard? Are you fucking kidding me?" Again, lol, read my comments. You got a little confused because I think you were reading too fast. Also, nice logical fallacy, throwing out the "appeal to authority" case. I go to an Ivy League, thereore I must know what I am talking about. Well, I WENT to an Ivy League school and graduated summa cum laude. I am currently a grad student at Hopkins. Yeah, doesn't really make my comments mean any more or less. You didn't need to go there.

  77. 777

Re: Starequisite – So, you're calling every mother who has a daughter get pregnant, a bad mother! That is an ignorant comment.

  78. 778

Re: xtinamarie – You attack Sarah Palin's experience…but yet you have NO PROBLEM, putting a man with less executive experience than Palin in the white house. Sarah has been put through a far more thorough vetting process than Obama. The media has given him a free pass unlike any I have ever seen in the history of this country. The MSM has really shown it's hand…promoting a leftist agenda with little regard to the fact. Obama's closet is so full of skeletans it could be a morgue.

Re: mamajud – we'll have to agree to disagree. just so you know my mind is not made up. i was originally a clinton supporter. all i will add is that every candidate has positive and negatives. our job is weigh those positive and negatives and determine what matters most to us. i will not vote for him because he is black. i will not vote for him because he is a democrat. i will not vote for him because he sounds smart. i will base my vote in november on the issues that matter to me. four years ago mccain would have gotten my vote. today, with palin, i will probably swing left this year. i only hope you continue to be critical of mccain or whoever you support. question everything and everyone. what i posted are my opinions based on what i read. i am not finished reading nor have i been won yet. i suggest you look into mccain's background as vigorously as you have done for obama. i will too. thanks!

Re: kikicrato2 – Why do ask these questions of the republicans, but have blind trust in your guy to define his platform after he is elected?
    .
.It sounds like you are a teacher. I hope you will be more fair to your students than my 3rd grader's teacher last year, who uses her classroom as a platform to indoctrinate the liberal agenda. I know the teacher's union backed Hillary, but, come on, she couldn't mention that any other points of view exist?

p.s. the short-term is no less important than the long-term

Re: rockymountainmama – I pass on some because I know they wouldn't hear me. I knew you would hear me.
I suppose I am biased. Open to new info but certainly biased. I have in fact, "gotten into it" with some democrats. Although, it has been a while. I do not like our choices for President this election year. Obama does not instill confidence in me. Neither does McCain. People make fun of me for loving Ron Paul but I believe him more than I do the other candidates. He LOVES our constitution and was the ONLY primary candidate to have voted against the war in Iraq. I'm extremely anti-war and I fear with Palin and McCain, we're in for more war. Not to mention, McCain has sided with Bush in the past. The Bush administration has ravaged our beloved Constitution and I'm tired of the government being in our business 24/7. McCain could be different, but it's not looking like it. At the moment, I'd prefer to have higher taxes, than to have more war and destruction of our country and others.
I swear, I will leave you alone and let you be. I was frustrated and took it out on you. Sorry.

Go pink!!! i knew there was a reason why i loved her.

    Re: kikicrato2 – #772
You've made a lot of thoughtful points, some of with which I even agree, but…
    -
"2. Experience - as a newbie he hasn't been corrupted by old style politics, yet he the right combination of skills/knowledge to make a great president" We differ here. Chicago politics are as corrupt as they come. I could make five posts about why Obama's Chicago affiliations and experience scare me but I'll leave it at Ayers and ACORN.
    -
"5. Ethics and Lobbying Reform - he's been at the forefront of these efforts. Lobbyists have changed the nature of the political game. This point is perhaps the most important reason why Obama represents change. Get the lobbyists out of the way or at least decrease their power and you start giving the political system back to the people." Then why did he choose Joe Biden, whose son was a registered lobbyist until Biden got on the ticket. The credit card companies (you know, the ones that charge obscene interest?) have had Biden in their back pockets for over three decades now. Barry's choice of Biden was just… bad.

Re: kikicrato2;) I will…….nice to have a little back and forth here that didn't end up in the gutter!……I'm outta here for now…..think I'll go make some cookies for the kids……..feel like i've been neglecting my duties clicking away here the last few days.

    Re: characterassasination1 – #788
Yes! Of the four: McCain, Obama, Biden, and Palin - McCain was THE ONLY ONE NOT TO GET EARMARKS THIS YEAR.
    -
So who is REALLY for change and who is a politics-as-usual empty suit?
    -
    McCain/Palin '08

Re: mamajud – mamajud, i also ask questions, all the time really. i like to talk about these issues with others because it gives you new things to consider. i have changed my mind so many times on this, well, before palin was presented as the vp choice. like i said obama is not perfect, no candidate is. we can't ask for perfection, is doesn't present itself ever. just as many negatives you pull out of one candidate you can pull out of another. it has the be the issues the guide our decision and where we place ourselves. obama best reflects what i think is needed to help this country and those that i care about. mccain does, on some issues, too. palin is too far right for me personally. if you could see my voting background you would see a mix of republicans and democrats. being from pa i love my moderate republicans and have supported more republicans over the years than democrats. yes, i am a teacher, and the most important thing i promote is critical thinking. i would never present a liberal agenda without countering that with a more conservative one. as a parent you should be asking yourself the same question. are you brainwashing your child or helping them develop their own ideas about the world?

  87. 787

Re: kikicrato2 – Believe it or not, I too, am a centrist…….I don't care for the extremists on either side, and am teaching my kids that moderation is key, not just in politics, but all aspects of life……………..alright, now i'm really shutting down…..peace out

  88. 788

Re: Smirks – Yes, McCain did not get earmarks. But he has gotten lobbyists to do the majority of his fundraising for his campaign. That's not reform either. He's in bed with corrupt people, don't be fooled. If all you've got on Bushlite is earmarks, you have to try harder. That issue is important, but how is McCain different from Bush? How is Obama different from Clinton? What proposal and platforms offered represent the best chance to turn this all around?

  89. 789

mamajud and others, thanks. great to get this page back on topic without so much foul language. have a great day everyone! peace.

Note to Pink, Gloria Steinem and all the other Hollywood Baby Killers,

You all claim that "most american women" share you belief that you somehow have the right to "choose" to kill your unwanted babies.

Actually- most American women disagree with that position. Alas, the liberal elite who controls the media likes y'all to think that "most" americans agree with baby killing- which they don't.

Pink's a shithole. Smart celebrites do not comment on politics or religion- as it invariably alienates fans. Why do you think Stevie Nicks has been around so long? So is patriotic, but apolitical. She is "spiritual" without be associated with any particular religions.

Pink, you need to stop talkin' outta yer shit pipe.

Re: _Alice_ – #797 Ok, fair enough. I really wasn't into this campaign too much until Governor Palin was added to the ticket. She has so reinvigorated the Republican party that I'm now signing up to volunteer for McCain/Palin. I didn't know anything about her until several months ago my brothers and husband spoke highly of her. Quite frankly, I was hoping Joe Lieberman would be McCain's VP choice. I like politicians when I listen to them and get the sense that they are speaking from the heart, like Joe Lieberman and McCain and now Palin. However, when I hear Hilary, Obama, or Joe speak, my gut feel is they're weighing each word, depending on which way the winds are blowing, too get the most votes. There is a lot to admire about McCain, but what I admire most is his record of showing he will make decisions on what he feels is right, even though he may loose votes or go against his own party. Nobamanation has never done this.

Re: poopstain – You moron, did you know that McWar's father died at 70? It's also proven that women live longer then men. Don't give me the spiel on his mom. Most played out and useless argument.

  93. 793

Pink, I knew I loved you. I love it when the War mongers like to talk about nut jobs and how liberals make it "so hard" for this country. Last I checked, the liberals want change and freedom from relying on other countries for fuel and trade!! Bring jobs back home!! Thanks to Bush, he has ruined the American dollar. China anyone?!?! I am so tired of idiots defending their party just because it is what they have voted in the past. Like what has been said before, quit letting the politicians use you as their puppets and speak for YOURSELF!! Demand what you value, not what your party thinks your should value

  94. 794

Re: rockymountainmama – Right, that's why McCain/Palin started yelping change, change, change! only weeks ago. Nice try though. I love how people who are voting McWar/Paylin go on their "gut." It's your way fo saying you have no argument. Did you know how many times McCain has gaffed? Oh, I would have been with the sufferers of Katrina! (Isn't that going with the votes?) yet, he was too busy licking cake of W's finger. Come on now. Think with your head, not your husband's.

  95. 795

    mamajud -

Fight the good fight There are so many morons here. You can make a good argument but it's over their heads….

    Air—–nothing but air.

    GO COLTS!!!

Re: Beachy – #740 Hey Beachy, Top o' the morn'n to you. I keep telling these people with their empty "threats" of leaving the country if McCain/Palin get into office. DON'T WAIT, LEAVE NOW. Canada is waiting with open arms for disgruntled former Americans. I have even tried posting the contact information for Greyhound bus services, but Mario for some reason won't post it. Rude Dude and his ilk may find themselves sitting on that Greyhound next to Alec Baldwin, Susan Can'tstand, Babs, and Pink too! Oh wait, didn't Alec have an empty threat that he would leave the country should bush be elected? But he's still here… verbally abusing his young daughter. What a guy. Rude Dude is not going anywhere, he's a fake.

  97. 797

Re: rockymountainmama – It's a good thing you're so involved. I'll be interested to see your opinion after the debates. I think that's when we'll really see their true colors. Maybe help me decide? I don't know. Yikes…Too many things to absorb.
In any case, I hope you have a great time helping with the campaign. I'm sure it will be an interesting and enlightening time.
    Good luck!

  98. 798

Go Pink, Palin is a man.

    obama obama obama obama

  99. 799

Re: Beachy – Did you watch SNL last night. Fey & Poehler did a good job and some of their skit was funny, but the rest of the show was not entertaining. Anyway, happy news, I think the skit may have helped the polls. The Ohio Rasmussen poll just in:
    McCain/Palin 51% and Nobamanation/Biden 44%. I see a very good trend happening.

  100. 800

    Hey RMM -

It's hilarious! These crazy's just don't get it. I laugh when I read their posts - full of fluff, short on facts.

Luckily, most of them are not of voting age.

barry Hussein obama is a mirage. Even he wonders what happened to his "campaign". Of course, we know that running a campaign qualifies this twit! You just have to laugh at that!!!!!!!!!!!

    Big Ears - Little Knowledge.
