I basically agree with the points you made on THIS post. I just don't understand how you think the Republican ticket will bring those ideas to pass. One of the most important functions the next President will do will be to post new judges in the Supreme Court. McCain has already stated he will be leaning to conservative justices and none of the enlightened ideas you posted could ever come to pass.
Honestly, I feel people have their minds made up at this point and no matter how well or how badly either candidate performs in the upcoming debates will totally depend on ones political stance.

I wish America had a viable multi-party system so Americans would have a REAL choice. At this point it is the lesser of two evils and it's my opinion that conservative judges tend NOT to legislate from the bench. A characteristic I like in my judges.

I hope people's minds aren't made up. Everyone should watch the debates and see what the candidates have to say to us, and to each other. I was attracted to Obama's charisma in the beginning and had seriously planned to vote for him… over the course of his campaign I found out that I just disagree with more and more of what he's about.

btw………i'm not rich….my husband is a self employed contractor, and we struggle to pay the $13,000 it takes to cover our family's health insurance each year and just barely escaped foreclosure on our home this year…these days.we live month to month, and I'm not quite sure how we will work my youngest daughter's tuition to pre-school into the budget(she's starting tomorrow). I guess Pres. Obama would likely be to my benefit financially…but I don't expect the gov't to take care of me. Your assumptions about me couldn't be further from the truth. I'm sorry you are so angry……..stop the name calling…it can't be making you feel any better.
p.s. just to debunk the final stereotype….I'm not a jesus freak either….never been to church, except for the occasional wedding/funeral. I just believe in treating others the way I would want in return.

However, as I am paying my way through school I have no health insurance and cannot afford it. How sad. Seeing as breast cancer runs rampant in my family, I am screwed. Re: Steink – morning…..I'm not sure why feel the need to insult my level of intelligence… I think the gov't should be involved in our healthcare by implementing regulations……taking control of our health away from the insurance companies, etc………doctors should be able to practice their craft, and assess each patient's visit to their office based on medicine, not some checklist provided by the insurance companies. I agree health care should be affordable and available to all……I just don't see how the bureaucracy involved in gov't at every level, can do anything but be a detriment to the quality of healthcare…..
