I really cannot bite my tongue anymore when it comes to Sarah Palin.
I couldn't be more supportive of a woman in office, but let's face it, it comes down to the person, and their beliefs, male or female.
Is it a sin to be gay? Should it be a sin to be straight? Or to use birth control? Or to have sex before marriage? Or even to have a child out of wedlock?
I find it quite interesting that a woman who now is running to be second in command of the United States, only 4 years ago had aspirations to be a television anchor. Which is probably all she is qualified to be… Also interesting that she got her passport in 2006.. And that she is not fond of environmental protection considering she's FOR drilling for oil in some of our protected land…. Well hey, if she wants to drill for oil, she should DO IT IN HER OWN backyard. This really shows me her complete lack of real preparation to become the second most powerful person in this country.
Hmmmm-All of this gets me going-Fear, Anxiety, Concern, Disappointment, and Stress come into play…
Is our country so divided that the Republicans best hope is a narrow minded, media obsessed homophobe?
I know that the most important thing about this election is that people need to exercise their right to vote, regardless of their choice… I would have liked to have remained impartial, however I am afraid that the "lipstick on a pig" comments will overshadow the issues and the fact that I believe Barack Obama is the best choice, in this election, for president…
Palin's Desire to "save and convert the gays"-really??
According to this Associated Press story, the church of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is hosting a kind of conference devoted to the "conversion of Gays" — no kidding.

I feel it's necessary for me to clarify that I am not against Sarah Palin as a mother or woman.
Women have come a long way in the fight to have the choice over what we do with our bodies… And its frightening to see that a woman in 2008 would negate all of that.

-Palin was NEVER a secessionist.
-Palin NEVER had a single book banned from her state's library.

-Alaska seems like it has the most earmark money per person because it has a SMALL POPULATION. Obama has asked for hundreds of millions of dollars more and has wasted most of it on things that the people he represented DIDN'T NEED.

I can't even begin to understand why gay people like Perez and kinda-gay people like Lohan and Ronson are acting like Obama is the all-powerful benevolent advocate of the homosexual lifestyle. Have they even READ the platforms? Obama has said over and over that his faith will not allow him to permit gay marriages (separation of church and state, right?) and all he will give them is "unions".
At least McCain is advocating the legal half of gay unions..he wants them to have power of attorney and other legal rights as a united couple. Having a constitutional amendment blanket banning gay marriage is AGAINST everything the Republican party stands for because it takes power AWAY from the states..McCain wants to leave it up to the individual states and he's far less partisan on the issue than Bush ever was.

Actually, Palin may oppose gay marriage but John McCain supports legalization of gay marriage. For a law like that it should be more important if the presidential candidate is for or against the issue. Although the vice-president is the president of the senate, the president is in charge of passing or vetoing any law. Most conservatives are opposed to gay marriage…it is a stereotypical view for Republicans. You can't be surprised or angered if a Republican is opposed to gay marriage, because it is just a usual stand for the party. However, John McCain is not your usual Republican. He has such a better view on issues than any candidate I have ever seen and I support gay rights 100%. If you are a Libertarian, Independent, or Republican, John McCain accurately represents the realistic views of this country. He is the best candidate for the job, but Palin is just a vice-presidential candidate that pulls in the Republican votes. The vice-president doesn't have too much say over the right of gays to marry or not.
Nothing wrong with being gay, but there are BIGGER issues out in the election than a person's sexual preference. It doesn't surprise me, Lindsay Lohan never finished school so I should expect the least out of her.
I, too have faith in this country, and that's why I feel confident that Sarah Palin will be elected our next vice president. She represents a lot more of us than do Samantha and Lindsay.

I would like to bring to light a candidate that in fact does support gay marriage. Bob Barr the libertarian candidate believes in Freedom and liberty. He believes to each his own. The truth is there is a fine line in this country between republicans and democrats. Most of their view points are the same even though they say they are not. Freedom is still a new concept. How can we call ourselves a free nation but be denied the right to marry the person we want, the right to our own body, the choice to do drugs. I don't agree with all these things but I certainly do not have the right to tell someone else that they cannot live their lives how they see fit. Libertarians believe people should have the right to live the way they want as long as they are not hurting anyone else. Okay here it goes: I think people misunderstand the Christianity faith, they DO NOT HATE GAYS. yes, there are some christians who do hate gays but those are the freaky ones out of a Carrie movie who see religion more as a cult. And to answer those other questions Lindsey, yes; having a baby out of wedlock is a sin, tohave sex before marriage is a sin whether you are religous or not.
The media today are supposed to promote abstinence like in those commercials about having "safe sex" but they're doing a bad job at it. And there is a difference between birth control and abortion and im pretty sure Sarah Palin is for birth control she is just not for murder. Women just want abortion to be legal because they are promiscuious, and do not want to lose their reputation especially in the ENTERTAINMENT WORLD (Lindsey Lohan). And to those situations like rape or insest, it only happens to less than 4 percent. So unless u got raped by yo dadday, or your life is literally on line, not your social life then you do not need an abortion.
And when it comes to oil Lindsey, we are in a desperate need for it since gas is too expensive but not for you since you are rich so do go down that line about "saving the environment" which technically global warming is false but i'm not gonna get into that topic.

Sarah Palin scares the shit out of me. Heres one of the many many reasons why. President Ahmadinejad of Iran does not like America - to put it mildly. Towards her comment about Palin not posing for tabloids because she is not a celebrity, that is absolutly ludacris….what is she aside from a presidental candidate? Palin is the most well known women in our country right now, and instead of making an ass out of herself and being hostal towards photographers she takes the time to have the pictures snapped then goes on her way (like a normal person not cracked out would do). I think Lindsey Lohan should do more research on the people running for presidant and shut her mouth. We couldn't be more lucky if her "girlfriend" is sent back to wherever the hell she crawled out of.
If these two care so much about gay rights, why don't they come out of the fucking closet? And besides, it's hard for me to take anyone seriously who quotes Pamela Anderson. Give us a break, ladies! I like to listen to what others have to say, especially those in the media, but I would never altar my opinion based on what a celebrity I like has to say. However, many of the celebrity opinions I have heard lately, mostly on this site, I do agree with, completely by coincidence. I truly think that these two spoke out in a respectful way, unlike Pam Anderson, and they mean well.
In my own opinion, Sarah Palin, with the minimal help of John McCain, will destroy the nation and make so many people unhappy! I would never in my life vote for these monsters!!!
