Congratulations!

Star Trek alum George Takei married his partner of two decades, Brad Altman, in Los Angeles on Sunday.

The two made their wedding grand entrance to the song One Singular Sensation from A Chorus Line.

The ceremony took place at the Japanese American National Museum.

They were married by a Buddhist priest, exchanged Native American wedding bands, and walked away husband and husband to a bagpipe procession.

What a celebration!

George and Brad wrote their own wedding vows as well.

Brad said that he had called Sulu many things during their twenty one years together ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ “life partner, significant other” ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ but that their marriage represented “a dream come true for me.”

Awwwwww!!!

George proclaimed to Brad, “I vow to care for you as you’ve cared for me … and to love you as my husband and the only man in my life.”

The newlyweds have been outspoken gay rights activists for years. Thankfully, same-sex marriage was recently legalized in their home state of California.

Wedding guests took home Japanese tea-ceremony treats in boxes printed with the Star Trek-esque phrase, “May sweet equality live long and prosper.”

Right on and lovely!
