Palin Talks Policy
Filed under: Politik > John McCain > Sarah Palin
So guess what?
It's finally Sexy Sarah's first big day on her own!
Like Sadie Sandler a preschooler armed with mother's sack lunch, Palin ventured to the swing-state of Colorado on her first trip outside of her home state without McCain.
The recently selected vice presidential candidate and current governor, who can boast only limited experience outside of Alaska, was held from view while aides rushed to update her on a variety of issues.
Now remember, if ever you should falter, just remind everyone that you're a woman!!!!
You've got a vadge!
Palin spoke mainly on the issues of energy, government reform, and helping families with special needs, as Palin's four-month-old son has Down Syndrome, and the crowd cheered when she declared, "too often the government is the problem" rather than the solution. Yeah, like when it restricts stem cell research, which advocates claim could be the key to unlocking treatments and cures to numerous diseases.
Sexy Sarah also claimed that Obama's proposals to raise income, payroll, investment income, business, and death taxes is "not the way you grow the economy," but independent groups such as the Tax Policy Center concluded that four out of five American households would actually receive tax breaks. She declared her support for McCain's "'above all' strategy for energy independence." In other words, drilling Alaska for all its worth.
Palin said McCain liked her idea of placing Washington's checkbook online, so "everyone can see where their money goes," just like she did in Alaska.
That’s cute, but honey, it ain't dark in Washington half the year like it is in Alaska.

Re: marilow – help save helpless animals!
help kill helpless humans!
obama/biden 08
McCain for a better future
Re: Robyne –
You know, I firmly believe that stupidity should, at the very least, be painful.
First, the estate tax doesn't kick in until the person's estate is valued at over 2 MILLION dollars.
Second, it is VERY easy to ensure that, if you will be leaving an estate valued at over 2 million dollars when a life insurance policy payout is included: you can transfer ownership to the beneficiary. What that means is that, just as a lot of businesses have life insurance policies on their more (financially) important employees you can have a policy on your aforementioned "Granny". And even if she owned the policy she could transfer ownership to herbeneficiary before kicking the bucket if she has been lucky enough to be approaching anywhere near a 2 million dollar estate.
EDUCATE YOURSELF, for god's sake!
Re: marilow – So other countries just looooove Obama because they know that he's a liar, hypocrite and a moron. If he is elected, it only increases more issues for them to bitch about further of our country and try to run us over!!!
Re: bubbabearzle –
bubba, free markets generally produce more than government. economics 101.
It is worth noting that the most important breakthrough in the stem cell research field, the 1998 discovery of human embryonic stem cells and their unspecialized, self-renewing nature by University of Wisconsin professor James Thomson, was the result of privately funded research. And Thomson’s research utilized embryos derived from in vitro fertilization (IVF) clinics, another private funding success story.
a good starting book would be Basic Economics by Thomas Sowell.
Re: xoMarinaxo – You just might be the dumbest human being on Earth. but hey, it's probably the first time in your life a superlative has ever been used to describe you, so it isn't all bad.
Ronald Reagan was a Governor; Charles Manson was a community organizer. Heard that one on the radio today, had to share.
Gotta love me some Palin!!
Re: Melissa is always right –
George Bush was also a Governor! *snap*
Re: bubbabearzle –
It's funny you accuse everyone that disagrees with you by using talking points and then refer to them as a moron and claim they talk out of their ass. The truth is Palin does have far more political accomplishments that she can be associated with solely on her own unlike Obama. If you can't realize that you're only fooling yourself. Besides why are all of the democrats so busy comparing Obama to Palin, he's running against McCain. They probably like to avoid that argument because McCain has far more experience than Obama ever will. I need more than impressive speeches by my president, I need someone that's already done a lot for my country like John McCain.
Re: SoCal –
research on adult stem cells has not cured a damn thing, and likelynever will. Untilyou have a degree in a scientific discipline from an accredited University, you should probably STFU because you are showing your ignorance. (FWIW my PhD is in Molecular Biology).
Keep it up Sarah!!! The latest polls from realclearpolitics.com are astounding! Minnesota, once considered a lock for Obama (up by 12, Sep. 4), now has it as a tie in the latest poll, also McCain is pulling away in Florida, Colorado, Nevada, Ohio and is tied in Pennsylvania for the first time. Even Michigan and New York, for God's sake are within the margin of error for McCain/Palin! 6 weeks to go, and say what you want about Palin, but America loves it. Read 'em weep Obamanationites!!!!!
Re: bubbabearzle –
you insult everyone here with a different opinion than you because you think you're more intelligent, but you're merely proving otherwise. Which is evident by all of your posts.
Drilling Alaska for all it's worth? Huh? Is that so Perez? The size of the area they want to drill has been compared to a postage stamp on a football field. Drill Baby Drill! For God Sakes we've got to start somehwere-sometime. We can't just sit on our asses and whine. No more dependency on foreign oil!!
MCCAIN/PALIN 08.
Thank God the Republicans are finally allowing this beast to speak in public. Maybe all the undecided voters will finally see who she really is: a gun toting, female hating hypocrit. Alaska can keep her-she did WONDERS for them anyway.
Re: mamajud – The cells in cord blood are much better for that individual, because if they ever need, for example, a transplant there will be an exact match so there won't be the need for life-long dangerous anti-rejection drugs.
Re: lexisalazar – OMG there are somany fucking MORONS posting in this thread, and you are their Queen!
Re: Sarah 27 – The death tax was signed at the END of Clinton's presidency. Bush suffered it's fallback. Dirty politics.
Ben Franklin intented for Social Security to NEVER get 'borrowed' from the government- Clinton overrode this as well. Look at the time line to decide yourself. snopes, google, yahoo people… biggest library in the world at your fingertips!
After a lot of research I uncovered the parts of Sarah Palin's interview with Charlie Gibson that ABC felt free to edit out. Clearly ABC willfully omitted the portions of the interview that would make her seem more moderate and edited it in such a way that even her supporters became uneasy that she was a "warmonger". Go to "marklevinshow" if you are interested in the TRUTH of what she said in its entirety. Or not, if you want to live in liberal bubble. /shrug
Funny how you say she has little experience outside of Alaska. Well, at least she has run a state.
Nobama thinks running a campaign qualifies his sorry ass to be president.
It's uncanny how you libs keep bringing up points that just hurt your own side. But, hey - keep 'em coming!
This chick rocks!
Re: Melissa is always right – 113 You know Mellissa, I was going to refrain from my usual venting of profanity, but with that post you made, all I can say is,
SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU STUPID SLOPPY CUNT……YOU FUCKING NO IT ALL BITCH!
Well, I certainly feel better now.
Oh, please go tell those amazing people running the Red Cross and other "community" and social programs that you are comparing them to Charles Manson.
Just goes to show how vapid and pointless you really are.
While your at it, tell the Pope, the Dali Lama and even Cindy McCain!
Re: Sarah 27 – hi sarah…….btw, i did answer your question on the tina fey post…….one thing i left out is that thanks to bush's HSA's, barring any major medical disasters in the next few months…..knock wood………the price of our families health care costs will drop more than 40% next year…..that is not even counting the fact that the dollars we put in the HSA are pre-tax going in, tax free going out, and carry over to the next year……..it is the one account I am watching grow these days
.
.p.s. I did not include the personal info for a pity party…..i have a great life, an awesome husband, and 3 healthy kids that have a great appreciation for simple pleasures…..I just wanted to make a point to that kid about stereotypes and that the world is full of shades of gray
Re: bubbabearzle – Don't be hatin'. BTW-You're really rude, so in your own words…STFU!!!!!!!
Re: bubbabearzle – No disrespect intended, but I think Americans have more on their mind than whether or not the feds fund stem cell research. It's important (and John McCain supports it, btw) but personally, I'm more concerned with the economy and energy right now. I want REFORM in DC. I want a leader who is able to work in a bi-partisan fashion. I want a leader not afraid to challenge the doctrine of his own party. That man is John McCain.
Bubbabearzle,
Wow - you can post some venomous stuff - yet your "facts" aren't facts at all. You are the kind of people we want to back Nobama. Cool.
You might think about using another avatar - not attractive. I can't decide if you're a bubba or a bear.
Keep up the good work. You don't know a darned thing - but how to call others names. Excellent argument!
"Just ask her about dinosaurs!"
Enough said!
Re: State ziti – i'd like to say that I missed seeing your toothy grin yesterday………but I was hoping you had taken my advise and gotten your ass kicked
Re: jefdo – I agree.
Re: loggr1050 –
We very well might have found cures for many diseases had Bush not refused any federal research funds for fetal stem cell research. And your comments on those few already created lines being grandfathered in show that you know nothing about science: those lines, even back when the law was passed those lines were hopelessly contaminated/old/USELESS. Not to mention the fact that we will need cells from a large number of celllines to be able to make any sort of generalized conclusions about any research done on the subject. Oh, and please enlighten us as to exactly what adult stem cell line research has cured?
Please, leave the science up to us scientists.
Re: xoMarinaxo –
No they just know Obama is the better choice. If McCain got in I wouldn't be surprised. After all the brainiacs voted Bush in twice….and see where we are. The whole country is going to rat shit.
Re: sweetpiece – Hope you feel better, but it was a joke hon, from a stupid radio program, so get over it. Asshole liberal comedians talk terrible shit on the Republicans every day. The whole point of the ignorant statement is that it makes about as much sense to me as the original ignorant statement insinuating a Jesus Christ/Obama connection and that's what it was all about and I'm entitled to my opinion as are you and I won't stoop to calling you names, unlike you.
Get over yourself.
Re: Smirks – Thanks Smirks!! You're brilliant!
HAHAH Perez, you're such a loser. You prefer to be in the dark regading how Washington spends your money. Let's face it, the only thing you give a damn about are your gay rights.
Re: State ziti –
And here's racist ole' ziti, illustrating the fact that when morons feel threatened by intelligent points they hurl an insult and run. Interesting that you don't have your own picture as your avatar, could it be because you are also imperfect and are afraid that people will see the truth: that you're dumb and fugly? Sad combo.
Sweetpiece, explain your comment about the dinosaurs, if you can
You're clueless, aren't you?
Re: sweetpiece – not to put words in melissa's mouth, but I'm pretty sure she was rebutting the comparisons of obama to jesus, and that her tongue was planted firmly in her cheek…………just thought
Re: xoMarinaxo – i hope my Marina grows up to be as smart and sweet as you!
By Sweetpiece: 113 You know Mellissa, I was going to refrain from my usual venting of profanity, but with that post you made, all I can say is,
SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU STUPID SLOPPY CUNT……YOU FUCKING NO IT ALL BITCH!
Well, I certainly feel better now.
Oh, please go tell those amazing people running the Red Cross and other "community" and social programs that you are comparing them to Charles Manson.

Wow - talk about vapid. Not only are YOU vapid - you're rabid, to boot.
Animosity doesn't make points, it does show what a little person you are, though.
I love to read about celeb gossip but you liberal nuts do not have a clue about what's good for this country Gov Palin has more experience than Barack Obama could ever hope to have. Obama actually said that by running a presidential campagin that gave him executive experience what an idiot campaign managers acutually run the day to day operations of the campaign.God help us if he wins by the way am black and a Republican Barack better realize that just because he's black he's not a shoe in for the black vote I hope black people will vote for who is best for this country.
SARAH PALIN MAKES RAPE VICTIMS PAY FOR THEIR OWN RAPE KITS!
Sarah 27, I'll explain it in 2 words: Jimmy Carter
Maybe you weren't alive then, but I was. What a disaster.
Re: mjt4164 –
The experience kick AGAIN!!!
PUHLEASE!!!
The Experience Kick-
Of the four on the ticket, Palin, is the ONLY one w/ "Executive Experience" NONE of these people have "experience" as president. With that said, the ONLY ones that have foreign policy experience and knowledge of the world outside the US are the 3 men left. Of the three, the only one that there are only 2 running for President. People need to stop blurring this line of Obama and Palin because they are NOT running against each other, McCain and Obama are; and of the TWO Obama has the vision and foresight. McCain has been in the Senate for 26 years votes 90% w/ Bush and this year 100% with C student Bush again. Are we not tired of Bush? McCain is more of the same and even worse, if president he will appoint 3 ultra conservative justices that will "interpret the constitution as he himself interprets it. In other words " life begins in the womb" so kiss Roe V. Wade goodbye and people are stupid to think otherwise.
Re: bubbabearzle –
You're not as smart as you'd like everyone to believe, opinions aren't facts. I'm sure you'll continue to insult everyone that has a different point of view than you though, is that what "scientists" do? Get over yourself.
If Barry had set his pride aside and picked Hillary, Sarah Palin would be a non-issue.
But, the fact remains, he picked an old white dude that's been in the senate longer than John McCain. In fact, Biden's son just "quit" his job as a lobbyist so as to not make Nobama look like a fool. Now, even the Dems are talking about dumping Biden and asking Hillary to be the VP. Ha! Like she's gonna help this man-child. She's waiting in the wings for 2012.
Barry miscalculated on this - as on many other things. Also, his ads making fun of McCain for not emailing - well, that's just a major gaffe! McCain can't type because of the torture he endured in Vietnam. Nobama just has no clue.
The polls are showing that the dems can't wrap it up. The swing states are running in McCain's favor now. Don't you know, Nobama and his 300 advisors are scratching their heads right about now.
They've had all the press, all the money - yet they are falling behind.
Funny, too, is how Barry wouldn't agree to town hall meetings with McCain. WHY? Because he and his advisors know he's toast without a teleprompter.
Wait until the coming debates. McCain will make Nobama look like an 8th grader. I can't wait!
Here is a gay democrat for Palin. You go girl!
I would be willing to pay for my own rape kit, and everything else. I don't want the government to give me free anything. I want to pay my own way, thanks.
Re: Minx – I love you Minx, but using your premise, that McCain is running against Obama, McCain has FAR more foreign relations experience than Obama. Making a stump speech in Germany, meeting with Iraqi leaders to try to undermine the transition process until after the US election, and living in Indonesia don't count, imo.
Re: Minx – McCain would never appoint "ultra-conservatives" to the Supreme Court, he's as moderate as they come, if anything President Palin would– when McCain dies in office, as you all think!!!! LMAO Roe v. Wade will never be overturned, public opinion forbids it. Stop using scare tactics, please!
Re: boiledchimp – #154 - Yep, yep! Right on! Me, too.
"That’s cute, but honey, it ain't dark in Washington half the year like it is in Alaska."
That's a real knee slapper there Perezzels. Like I said, you should stick to writing what you know… cause as a pundit, you blow.
Got a brain? Vote McCain!
Re: kendoll3000 –
Watch McCains Interview at Saddleback church. McCain also supports life begins in the womb and states that at Saddleback saying he will appoint only justices that interpret the constitution as he does.
Martyup and BoiledChimp -
You rock! Martyup - I love the fact that you're gay but back McCain-Obama! You're a class act! And smart!
BoiledChimp - you are good. I can remember Jimmy Carter - I was in high school. I remember sitting in lines at the gas station. He was a total joke. Nobama is more of the same.
Re: kendoll3000 – Exactly. Besides, conservative judges are far less likely to try to legislate from the bench… a characteristic I like in my Supreme Court judges. All this bullshit about the Constitution being "a living document" makes me sick. The goal shouldn't be how we can twist and contort the constitution to suit a political agenda, but rather, how we can strive every day to make decisions that are as close to the framer's intent as possible. That said, yes, some changes did need (and perhaps will be needed in the future) to be made to the Constitution - but the changes should ALWAYS be in the form of constitutional amendments and not in the form of over-zealous judges in effect legislating from the bench.
just say NObama! McCain/Palin are going to take the White House! Yahoo!!!!
Re: Beachy – I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE DEBATES EITHER!!!! GO McCain/Palin!!!! Obamanation is imploding as we speak!
Obama was actually behind the EXISTING policy that enables the public to view what money in Washington is spent on. He does want to raise taxes…..for people who make over $250,000/yr, but he'll cut my taxes and those of 90 percent of Americans. When he wins, maybe I'll be able to retire with some social security after all.
Anybody read the huge article about Palin on the front page of the Sunday New York Times? You should if you believe she isn't corrupt.
Re: whysoserious – third time…unless you're not counting 2000 when Bush cheated.
McCain/Palin
Perez, you are one dumb F…I guess you little mind numbing rants make you feel better. Do you think any one with sense is taking political advice from the likes of you.
Re: LA angie –
LA Angie - did you spend more than 5 minutes looking up and copying that uncredited quote? Because it certainly doesn't look like it, especially when you might have put it in your own words if you understood what it means.
Also, the researcher whose work you cited actually did use public funding for at the very least major portions of his weork - and I can guarantee you that most research done in our colleges and Universities is funded by NSF and NIH (a.k.a. FEDERAL) grants. He started a biotec company later, but it is also important to note both that he is a big proponent of federal funding for such work and that even biotech companies can get NSF and NIH grants.
Re: boiledchimp – funny……..i was 8 years old living in Belgium in '76….I was too young to care about politics, but I was well aware of the name Carter…Gerald who???….it's easy for me to understand why the "world" embraces Obama…..so transperant
Smirks - Right on. His European tour - which was supposed to give him the "wordly" look backfired in his face.
And - as an American, I could care less who Europeans would vote for. Maybe he should have worried more about what happens here, than try to look like a rock star in GERMANY, of all places. Just one more gaffe for Nobama.
Seriously, this guy doesn't get it. Is he looking for votes in Europe? Cool. Once again, he's to inexperienced. His campaign is derailing and the 300 advisors are sending him in 300 different ways. You gotta love that.
Re: State ziti – You're an idiot and a disgrace.
Re: Repubsretards – Hahaha. Hahaha. The New York TIMES?!?!? Surely you jest. You can't possibly be serious. That's about as bad as getting your political news from Perez.
Re: Repubsretards – THE NY TIMES, you mean the paper that's sooooo left, they're almost back around to the right! LMAO Even their readership is down drastically! They live in their own liberal bubble, they lost credibility years ago, and haven't spoke "all the news that's fit to print" in years! Nice try, though.
Re: jefdo – Really? Aside from your opinion about Palin's and Obama's respective levels of experience (because there isn't an exact measure of "experience"), feel free to debate the science of stem cells and/or point out what I said about the estate tax that was untrue. Until then,I'll continue to call out people on their ignorant remarks.
Re: Smirks –
That's what makes it so sad, he has all this experience yet makes the same retarded decisions as BUSH. He voted w/ bush 90% for the past 7 years and 100% this year! Obama has won over all the G8 nations EXCEPT Japan and Obama is supported by 21 of the 28 nations watching our campaign unfold. We do not live in a vacuum people and we earned the international outrage b/c of Iraq. Pre- Emption is going to bite us on our asses b/c ANY nation including our "enemies" will use the same stance to justify an unwarranted attack on us. yes we removed a brutal dictator but to the rest of the world we invaded a sovereign nation under FALSE pretense. With McCain prone to cancer and 2 assasination attempts on Obama, I would rather the VP to answer the phone be the one that CAN ANSWER WHAT THE BUSH DOCTRINE IS!!!
WOW!!! You are SO much more ignorant that anyone gave you credit for!
1. The only thing that conservative are trying to support is PUBLIC (i.e. taxpayer) funding for stem cell research. It is ENTIRELY LEGAL for private or donated money to be put to use in the same arena. To fund it with public money would be tantamount (tantamount: equivalent: being essentially equal to something; "it was as good as gold"; "a wish that was equivalent to a command") to funding public funding of research to prove that being gay was a learned trait rather than a born one (I bet you would oppose that!)
2. Energy independence only includes a VERY small part of drilling Alaska. Do yourself a big favor you ignoramus, ANWAR, is a portion of Alaska that is equivalent to the island of Manhattan relative to the continent of North America (to put it more to your understanding, about the size of your infantile intellect relative to the size of your ass). She is speaking of more nuclear power plants (which even Greenpeace endorses at this point), drilling for natural gas, oil shale production, offshore drilling (which CHINA is already doing less than 110 km off the US coast) and yes, a little bit of drilling in ANWAR (but only a predetermined portion of the entire reserve that would be predetermined by greenies and other wacko's, rather than the WHOLE reserve that ignorant douche's like you would have us believe).
Get your information straight you ignorant, leftist piece of propagandist garbage. If you want to head to head with the true intelligentsia in this country, you need to either get your facts truly together or acknowledge yourself as a leftist blogger with and agenda.
Re: Beachy – You claim that my facts are not factual, yet haven't pointed out any falsehoods. Not a valid way to win an argument….
$250 million a month, every month, in Iraq. I'd like to see her spit out those stats. "Where the money goes…" I hate to be nasty, but biatch, please, stfu.
Re: Smirks – The Living constitution:
Following your logic in regards to our living constitution neither McCain nor Obama would be eligible to run for president as neither really qualify as natural citizens considering their birth places. The constitution is meant to be interpretative b/c the Framers recognize that the US would evolve and that the constitution must withstand the test of time.
Re: Repubsretards – The whole "tax cut to 90%" thing is illusory. What Obama calls "tax cuts" are really "income tax credits" that will be distributed mainly in the form of checks for childcare, education, healthcare, housing, etc., mainly to those WHO PAY LITTLE OR NO INCOME TAX ALREADY. As such, these "tax cuts" are nothing more than increased spending on federal programs hidden in the tax code. Clever disguise, if you want to fall for it.
Re: State ziti – Too bad your limp dick isn't capable of such things.
And FYI, you used the wrong version of you're/your.
Re: mamajud – Hi Mama! Awww. Thank you. You're too sweet! Hope all is well with you.
Re: jefdo – You are right, opinions are NOT facts. Which is why I have used facts rather than opinions to explain falsehoods that others have posted.
Well, except for in the case or two in which I couldn't help but reply but got too dejected with the prospect of repeating myself again toget out more than an insult.
She's an empty pantsuit. Give a break. There are many much more qualified Republican women McBush could have chosen, but he didn't because they are pro-choice.
Hey Bubba -
This is what you wrote:
– Too bad your limp dick isn't capable of such things.
And FYI, you used the wrong version of you're/your.
There's some facts, there, baby. Good job.
Re: alucidillusion –
I agree with drilling oil in our own country! We should be self reliant…that being said if we were, we wouldn't be putting DIRTY money in all the DIRTY politicians pockets!
That's a wonderful idea about putting the government's spending online…too bad they don't even know where it is! There was 1.75 TRILLION dollars MISSING from the pentagon in 1999! They can't ACCOUNT for it….jeesh…that's why we are BORROWING money from China…..NICE!
We need SMALL Gov! Not a Government who is LINING the pockets or CORPORATE AMERICA…..
am sure PETA would love to know about Palin's views on hunting - please check out this link from the uk SUN - an article from her father bragging about her ability to shoot, kill, dress and eat a moose and/or caribou - see attendant picture of her smugly hovering over a dead caribou - she is evil - anyone who can hunt an innocent animal down for fun does not have compassion for those less fortunate than herself
Re: boiledchimp –
So, when your house is robbed you will pay for the police to come to your house, make a report, collect evidence, etc?
Gay Democrat for Palin? That is nuts, she sure isn't for you and McCain has come out and said in public that he does not think my family should exist. To me McCain is anti-family. I can't vote this year - but I work at the Obama table at the farmer's market every Sunday and will do whatever I can to tell my story and why we need Obama for the VP. Any gay person who would vote for McCain/Palin is like a Jew voting for Hitler. McCain and Palin don't want you in this country and feel you don't deserve any rights.
NO ON 8!!!!
Re: bubbabearzle –
Does anyone else think this may be SUGAR WALLS with a new name and an ugly mug?
Re: Minx – I hear you, and I commend you on your grasp of some of the reasons why other nations support Obama. I had thought of the risks to John McCain's health but hadn't considered someone might assisinate Obama, so that's not a bad point either. I think a lot of people, given that particular hypothetical, would prefer a Biden presidency over a Palin presidency on the experience question alone. However, I am sure John McCain has the best health care money can buy, and I still think Obama is more style than substance.
-
Where we absolutely disagree is whether McCain will be an extension of Bush. The 10% of the time he didn't vote with Bush/Republicans is a very important 10% indeed. It includes important issues like climate change, stem cell research, and gay marriage/domestic partner issues. McCain is FAR more likely to work with Democrats and with Independents than is Obama, who towed the Dem line 97%. While I respect your views, I just think McCain's the better man.
Re: kendoll3000 – at least they use fact checkers. tell me, with all of your opinions, are you even going to vote?
Re: Smirks –
Post 180
How can you justify this?
when 80% of Americans benefit from Obama's plan? for those that make over 250k it's the equivelent of paying an extra $1000 10 years down the line. Hollywood makes more money than all of us on this forum why aren't they bitching about the "heavy" taxes Obama is "proposing"? In fact why is that community largely behind him? They own businesses as well. They stand to lose a lot so please spare me the argument that it's b/c they are a bunch of "liberals" there's obviously more to it than that.
Re: petafan1 –
oh peta, schmeta,… get over yourself, douche.
Barack Obama would like you to believe the economy is the worst it's been since the Great Depression. Let's see, during the Depression we saw unemployment at 33% (currently at 6.1%) and not a single business made a profit for 4 years. As of the current quarter, the majority of publicly owned companies (more than 50%) made a profit. This is NOTHING like the Depression. Obama needs to quit scaring people. Sure times are tough. We are really feeling the pinch of $4.00 gas across our entire economy, in everything we do and buy. It takes gas to do everything. When energy prices come down, so will the cost of doing business and prices will follow.
Just had to re-post this. That bubba chick is only focusing on one point. You, my friend, posted the facts.
Yes, things are bad financially right now and they're probably gonna get worse. It has nothing to do with Bush. It has EVERYTHING to do with greedy lenders that gave millions of people their homes when they couldn't afford them. And it has been proven that Nobama got the 2nd most money from Fannie/Freddie.
You won't hear that on MSNBC. Yet these are these are the facts. Huh! Nobama is one of the biggest receivers of lobby money there is.
He's only been in the US Senate for what - a year? Yet he's more tainted than the rest. You just gotta love this big-eared dude. NOT.
Re: Minx – #179
Hahaha. I agree. Neither one of them should be running but who is going to step into THAT mess?
Hey door knob, the stem cell research that we Republicans don't agree with is EMBRYONIC stem cell research and that's because you have to kill embryos (LIFE) to get the stem cells and because they have not cured a damn thing. Adult stem cells on the other hand have shown to cure numerous things and no one is harmed in the process. As for drilling in ANWAR…. Hells yeah!
One more thing… I'm amazed at how hateful the Dems are towards McCain now. He's a frickin Democrat anyways, he just calls himself a Republican. I only got excited about this election after he picked Palin for Veep bc she's actually conservative.

HE'S CHANGED HIS POSITIONS ON ALL OF ABOVE you mentioned except the stemcell research. As for working across the aisle he stopped that too and now is hijacking the change express and is Now calling for reform inhis party.. sorry but the man is also talking WAR w/ Iran not diplomatic relations so we'll have to agree to disagree on the better cabdidate
Good to see you on here, I have a very hard time posting

I can justify it because I don't want to get welfare checks in the mail that are funded by draconian taxes placed on our nation's highest achievers. I can justify it because I don't believe success should be "punished". I LOVED Steve Forbes' flat tax proposal of a decade ago… I think EVERYONE should pay a percent to total of his or her income. It's what's fair.
Perez i don't think you understand the issues. besides the moral issue, there are stem cells available for research. but no, it is OK. criticize her for something that you are misinterpreting…
Re: Beachy – #195
Yes! Out of 354 lawmakers, OBAMA GOT THE SECOND MOST LOBBYIST CASH FROM FREDDIE MAC AND FANNIE MAE. Corrupt politicians are corrupt. "Change" is an illusion. So the question remains: who is gonna screw you over the least? The answer: McCain.

95% of blacks have ALWAYS voted Democratic. Why do you think Bill guaranteed Hillary the black vote? Some still believe that Blacks are voting b/c of Obama and that is an outright lie b/c blacks have historically supported dems.
Re: Minx – #198
I'm having a tough time posting today too… idk why. Yeah, McCain has changed his positions recently. I believe he has done so in order to get elected and if he accomplishes that goal he will revert to the man I admire. I have to believe that, and I do.
Re: Repubsretards – I've voted every election since 1984, thank you very much, and based on what I've seen so far, this close to election, McCain/Palin would need a major flub to lose the momentum they've gained in the last two weeks. Maybe Obama needs another stadium event, and he can invite Matt Damon, Barbra Streisand and Susan Sarandon…see how America responds to that!
Recent Canadian polls show Canadians favour John McCain for president 68% to 24% for Obama. God bless America. VOTE MCCAIN
don't know about the rest of you…but i work hard for my money and the last thing i want to do is work hard all day, volunteer all night, and be taxed to high heck (even after I'm dead!?) so joe schmoe down the block can get $4000 to go to college after collecting government money his whole life. seriously…it's a dream until it becomes reality. move on.
Hey Smirks,
Yes - but we don't want want to muddy the waters with truth, now do we?
Nobama is a fraud.
Perez…with all the research out there I'm saddened that you don't see the poor ideas stem cell research brings about. Millions of dollars have been spent and NO results have come about. Embryonic has had amazing success, even curing a woman of cancer in China, and it's easy and plentiful to get. Perez, if you're for gay rights PLEASE be for equal rights as well…including those of the unborn which would have to be killed in order to do stem cell.
McCain/Palin 08!!!
