Palin Talks Policy

Filed under: Politik > John McCain > Sarah Palin

82654942__opt12__opt1.jpg

So guess what?

It's finally Sexy Sarah's first big day on her own!

Like Sadie Sandler a preschooler armed with mother's sack lunch, Palin ventured to the swing-state of Colorado on her first trip outside of her home state without McCain.

The recently selected vice presidential candidate and current governor, who can boast only limited experience outside of Alaska, was held from view while aides rushed to update her on a variety of issues.

Now remember, if ever you should falter, just remind everyone that you're a woman!!!!

You've got a vadge!

Palin spoke mainly on the issues of energy, government reform, and helping families with special needs, as Palin's four-month-old son has Down Syndrome, and the crowd cheered when she declared, "too often the government is the problem" rather than the solution. Yeah, like when it restricts stem cell research, which advocates claim could be the key to unlocking treatments and cures to numerous diseases.

Sexy Sarah also claimed that Obama's proposals to raise income, payroll, investment income, business, and death taxes is "not the way you grow the economy," but independent groups such as the Tax Policy Center concluded that four out of five American households would actually receive tax breaks. She declared her support for McCain's "'above all' strategy for energy independence." In other words, drilling Alaska for all its worth.

Palin said McCain liked her idea of placing Washington's checkbook online, so "everyone can see where their money goes," just like she did in Alaska.

That’s cute, but honey, it ain't dark in Washington half the year like it is in Alaska.

Hey Alice……..you've got to check out the SamLo post……urPIG is on fire………so glad I will never have to hear HER shrill voice……..or maybe we are already have………could it possibly be Hillary in disguise?

  3. 303

Just a little word from Alan Greenspan re this economy, which will be the SAME under McCain:

Former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan offered a woeful outlook of America's economic situation on Sunday, saying the crisis with the country's financial institutions was as dire as he had ever seen in his long career, and predicting that one or more of those institutions would likely collapse in the near future.
    -
"Oh, by far," Greenspan said, the situation was the worst he had seen in his career.
    -
"There's no question that this is in the process is still is not resolved and indeed, it will continue to be a corrosive force until the price of homes in the United States stabilizes.
    -
So, that's what a continued Republican Administration, and a continued war to nowhere, will bring.
    -
Anyone else insterested in using our tax dollars to take care of things at home in the U.S.? If do, please consider voting Democrat.

Re: mamajud – Hi to you too! And yes I have checked it out. And all I have to say is, wow! Goodness, SHE is determined! LOL, it might be Hillary, but I think even Hillary would think that's going overboard .
How's it going with you? I hope that my posts aren't offensive to you! I'm just frustrated right now and I don't mean to offend anyone:)

    .
I'm open to anyone's opinion…what offends me are with those who assume their opinion is fact, and vilify others for tossing in another perspective……no quicker way to loose your credibility

You people are idiots, if you think Barack “Hussein” Obama is looking out for our needs as a country you are smoking crack! Sarah Palin and John McCain know what the issues are that we need addressed ASAP, do we not remember what Mr. Obama told us to do about our gas prices? Check our F’N tire pressure, for everyone’s information I have been doing that since the gas prices shot up and it hasn’t saved me money nor gotten me better gas millage. Sarah comes from one of the biggest oil states in this country so if anyone could figure a way to lower the price of gas it would be her not Barack “Hussein” Obama! Not to mention the price of living has NOT gone down and last time I checked MINIMUM WADGE is still the same! On another note I would like to remind you idiots that McCain is a HERO and should not be degraded as you democrats do!

  13. 313

If you actually listen and DID you research as you say you do you would know that he would have gave his life for our country to make sure we can all sit here and talk shit about what’s wrong in America. While we all sat here safe in our homes and complain about how bad we have it John McCain had both of his arms broke and was tortured so we could continue to live with the freedom to talk shit and come and go as we please. This election is not about democrats or republican’s but what is best for our country! To tell you god’s honest truth I was not even registered to vote till this election!

    McCain/Palin 2008

  14. 314

    PEREZ PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEEEEAASSSSSE READ!!!!!!!!!

I have yet to decide who I will vote for, as we all know this is an incredibly important decision. Not just this race, but all presidential races. That's why I believe it is important to do more than just listen to the news, or bloggers that are completely skewed to one candidate or the other.

I love that we can blog about everything, including politics on this site. However, when you have influence over others opinions, you have a moral responsibility to completely EDUCATE YOURSELF FIRST.

  15. 315

    Re: Kingsley01

the only reason the price of living has not gone down and the minimum wage is still the same is because there's still a republican in office. do you people actually fail to realize that george bush has easily been one of the worst presidents this country's ever had and the economic situation is borderline depression? or do you just turn a blind eye? is the only reason you're voting for mccain is he went to war and was tortured and is an american hero? well, good for mccain, but guess what? hero or not, i don't want that man in the white house if he thinks our country is economically sound, because we're not.

    barack obama believes in change.
john mccain and sarah palins slogan at the RNC should've read:

    country cLUBS first. AMERICA second.

  16. 316

Re: Kingsley01 – Excuse me but my husbsnd served his country country too. Two tours in Iraq and then he was medically discharged because he's injured. I have seen this war up close and personal and I'm fucking sick of it. WE are not defending OUR freedoms over there. We invaded a country based on LIES by your precious Bush. I know exactly what freedom is and I'm grateful to have it. I'm also grateful my husband is alive and didn't die for OIL. Other spouses weren't so lucky. And if you love our country so much, sign up to die for it! I'm sure there are others that would glady trade with you, you close minded robot. I love my country, which is why I'm tired of watching self destruct. YOU need to do your research. You think McCain won't be courting big oil? You think he won't be a war monger? Pfft…He's just like Bush. And Palin is Cheney. Actually she's worse. She's clueless, while Cheney is brilliant in an evil and corrupt way. I will vote based on what I see, not on what YOU tell me.

  17. 317

Re: _Alice_ – Good for you Alice! I can speak from EXPERIENCE as well, although my husband has not gone YET I am sure he will have to go very soon~This is a POLITICAL WAR you are RIGHT! We have not done ANYTHING but hurt that country and ours!!! Not to mention all the lives that have been lost to this disgusting sorry excuse of a WAR!!! I can't believe the people out there that are STILL defending this shit!!! We did NOT go there to DEFEND ourselves (if we were defending ourselves we would have gone to Afghanistan) and if people vote for McCain for his Military experience that just as SCARY as voting for Palin for her vagina! McCain has been in Washington for soooo long now…….and that is not necessarily a good thing….look at the Bushes!!!

  18. 318

Re: bubbabearzle – So bottom line you think it's ok to kill human life for science?

  19. 319

Re: jennyli – Dear, that's obvious by the inbreeding that seems to be going on in her own family!!! Lordy, I saw her hubby on Greta van Susteren and does he ever seem dumb! Seemed to have the maturity of a 10 year old and he was so passionate about racing snowmobiles–like a kid with a new go-cart. He said he's been to Washington DC and he liked it
"cuz it's real historic!" OMG, I couldn't believe what a moron he was! But I guess that would stand to reason since we can all see who he married!

  20. 320

Re: spiritgirl44 – Thank you! I'm so sick of war. And I can get pretty passionate about it. And McCain SUPPORTS it. Why isn't this a top issue? Why won't he meet with vets who are against this war? Why won't he vote for more educational benefits for the military? Why are so many vets, from Vietnam and Iraq, so utterly angry at him? Because he doesn't CARE. He doesn't care about the vets and doesn't care about those that are currently there. He doesn't care about all the INNOCENT Iraqi's we've killed. He's a war monger. Nothing will change with him. Then add Palin to the mix and we'll just add Russia to our list. Good times!
Spiritgirl, I'm so sorry your hubby has to go. It will be rough but other military spouses are there for you 100%. I'm one of them!

Re: Educate Yourself & VOTE – Go to John McCain's website & READ!!! McCain opposes the INTENTIONAL creation of human embryos for research purposes. To that end, Senator McCain voted to ban the practice of "fetal farming," making it a federal crime for researchers to use cells or fetal tissue from an embryo created for research purposes. Furthermore, he voted to ban attempts to use or obtain human cells gestated in animals. Finally, John McCain strongly opposes human cloning and voted to ban the practice, and any related experimentation, under federal law.

  22. 322

Re: Educate Yourself & VOTE – As president, John McCain will strongly support funding for promising research programs, including amniotic fluid and adult stem cell research and other types of scientific study that do not involve the use of human embryos.

Where federal funds are used for stem cell research, Senator McCain believes clear lines should be drawn that reflect a refusal to sacrifice moral values and ethical principles for the sake of scientific progress, and that any such research should be subject to strict federal guidelines.

  23. 323

Re: Educate Yourself & VOTE – As president, John McCain will strongly support funding for promising research programs, including amniotic fluid and adult stem cell research and other types of scientific study that do not involve the use of human embryos.

  26. 326

From StemCellResearchFacts.com: "Exploring the World of Stem Cell Research.
Adult stem cell research has produced 72 cures and treatments. Embryonic stem cell research and human cloning has produced “0” cures and treatments." -and- "Embryonic stem cell research gets most of the media's attention, but adult stem cell research has actually been far more successful in providing cures for serious illnesses — and it does so without harming human life in the process. We invite you to explore the world of stem cell research on this web site with an open mind. What you will discover may enlighten, educate and even surprise you." — Also a report in the Washington Times (washtimes.com) also shows that McCain has reached across the aisle to Democrats far more than Obama has reached over to Republicans. (Perez even cited this story). What is most scary is that Obama has never been in charge of anything. Has never run a business, has never been an executive and has never even written a bill. Palin has done all of that and more. The arrogance and anger from the left is quite revealing.

  27. 327

Gender is irrelevant, Perez. You are perpetuating sexism, and for someone else who is subjugated for their lifestyle, you should know better. Palin is not reminding everybody she is a woman, everybody else is (e.g. YOU). She is going about her political business and YOU are the one who is reiterating that she is a woman albeit in a completely derogatory manner. It is COMPLETELY INAPPROPRIATE for you to be making comments like "You have a vadge!" or "That's cute, honey.." These comments are totally sexist and misogynistic. Pretend gender doesn't matter, Perez. P.S. I am a Democrat who is not voting for McCain/Palin because of policies NOT genders.

  28. 328

who said a vote for McCain is a vote for the devil…..you have never picked up the bible have you? its called Revelations, maybe you should pick it up and learn a thing or two! there are some idiots calling Barack "Hussein" Obama the messiah, and just in case you never will pick it up this world is coming to an end! everything that has happened in this election and previous situations is leading right into what it has printed in the GOOD book. you are so blinded by what you think you know when in reality you have no clue, granted not everyone believes in it but if you actually read just the book of Revelations it would blow your mind to know what is in the process of happening.

  29. 329

    so sick of that face

  30. 330

Re: Kingsley01 – #336 OMG!!! *LAUGHING* are you kidding me?!?!? If you REALLY believe this…that is so sad :( The BIBLE was written by MAN sweety…..there are MANY other BOOKS out there "predicting" LOTS of things will happen and just like Y2K….hasn't happened yet…..try the Mayan Calender 2012….WAY MORE SPECIFIC!!!!! Keep on following BLINDLY and instead of going into the "lake of fire" when you die, you will LIVE in your own HELL in this lifetime……
This is what KILLS me about "religious" people…..REMEMBER THOU SHALT NOT JUDGE…..or does that NOT APPLY to anyone who has DIFFERENT beliefs than you?!?!? TYPICAL

  31. 331

like i said you can believe what you want to believe, and as a matter of fact i have "Only He Can Judge Me" Tattooed on my back in BIG BOLD LETTERS to remind myself and others. Granted i could have worded it a little better, but i would just like to remind people this is where we came from believe it or not, just as you have the right so do I. Heres a questions for you though, have you read it? granted it was written by man but so is everything else of this world.

  32. 332

Re: Educate Yourself & VOTE – Yes, that's lovely… but highly doubt that John McCain's website is the best place to get an "education." That's kind of the same thing as trying to find an objective piece on election from Fox "News."

I think if you really want to get an education, you have to listen to everyone who posts on these sites and others (sometimes, and no offense Perez, posters on this particular site are a little childish)… because you can really filter out who is stating facts and who is just repeating what they overheard their parents talking about, or quoting from the Bible, or something. There are too many lies and exhaggerations during this election time that it's so difficult to see what is real and what is not. But still, I highly doubt that McCain's website is stating the truth. In fact, I've come to realize that he cares more about losing his integrity than losing this election, and if you cannot see that, you truly need an "education."

  33. 333

Give the job to Tina Fey. Far more clever, intelligent and relevant than either McSame or Palin will ever be!

  34. 334

NO ONE is perfect so we need to stop pretending like some one will be if they run for president.

  35. 335

    Re: Kingsley01 – #339
Yes I have read PARTS of it…..I pray to god, and I DON'T believe God is something to be FEARED!! GOD IS LOVE!
** this is where we came from believe it or not, **
YOUR BIBLE says! I choose NOT to believe it because of that right there…..you hang on every word of the "good book" like it's factual….it was written metaphorically….and the religions of this world have twisted and turned it to make it work for them to gain money, power and control!!!!!!

  36. 336

For those interested… I found a new non-partisan site I really like. It's called "opensecrets" (org) and it tracks where the money goes in politics. Very enlightening. For instance, did you realize that out of 354 legislators, Obama is the NUMBER TWO recipient of money from individuals and PACs? McCain is on the list as well, but much further down.
    -
Obama was one of the top recipients of money from Lehman Brothers. I kid you not. This is simply a fact I've uncovered.
    -
There is a conservative site, marklevinshow (com), that printed Palin's interview with Gibson in its entirety. If it's true, it shows she is not nearly the "warmonger" ABC portrayed her to be, and talked about the need for diplomacy over and over.
    -
I think both these sites are worth a look for all you "truthseekers" out there.

    2: beejeezez

what "honest" people do you know that believe in the bible for your so called "gain money, power and control!" i think you are mistaken and the only religion/book (if thats what you want to call it) that Ive seen is the stupid "secret" bull. everyone that i know if they believe in it or not struggles. no mater which way you look at it. i pray every morning, day, and night and i live paycheck to paycheck, not to mention i just found out that i will be expecting in January and the father of my child has decided to leave and disown us. so this "gain money, power and control!" i don't believe that nor no anyone who does, granted i did not always believe but i have seen things that most would pass by. you can believe in it or not.

  39. 339

    Re: Kingsley01 – #346
I am very sorry that you have to deal with the stress of a baby on the way and a man that cannot take responsibility. I have been very blessed in that way having gotten pregnant and married at 17 and still going strong in my marriage of 13 almost 14 years. I am just a firm believer that churches all across the world use fear and hate (sin and go to hell and gays are condemned by god, give me your paycheck-catholic and mormon churches for the later of the 3) to get control over peoples lives. I am a firm believer in creating ones own destiny and the power of intention! (check out Dr. Wayne Dyer) you don't need a priest, preacher, congregation or whatever to have faith and most of the religious people I know condemn people for not going to "church". When I go, I feel no love in the building only judgment and horror at the things being said to fuel the fire. If you do some real historical research ie…before christians were here you will find some very amazing facts about how the church came in and took over. They teach you not to think for yourself but to listen to what they TELL you! And sadly most followers, follow blindly. Good Luck to you and your baby~

  40. 340

Re: beejeezez – Also, I have been to many many a church. I didn't just try one and stop, I have been to almost every different religious place you can imagine. I have even had ladies praying over me and speaking in "Tonge" which, frankly scared the daylights out of me!!!!
Also my general rule of thumb is "Question the Answers" I have that bumper sticker on my car :)

  41. 341

Re: mark18usa – check out realclearpolitics.com and weep…Obama is in serious trouble, McCain/Palin is making gains in almost every state that Obama previuosly had locked… get your facts straight first, before you start blowing bs!!!

    Re: spanishbarbi24
    Post 228
It goes both ways. Name calling is coming from both sides and I agree that it is childish. Third word countries do not supply the US with oil and Palin is incorrect in saying Alaska supplies 20% of our oil. Alaska supplies 3% of our oil. AS for drilling to each his own. If Brazil can run on ethanol and live oil independent why can't we? Why can't we ressurrect our dying agricultural industry put farmers back in the black and switch to fuel efficient cars? Who does it hurt to do that? The US currently still refuses to sign the Kyoto protocol b/c we put out a lot of shnit into our atmosphere. And Palin doesn't even believe global warming is a reality. As for her stance on gays I haven't read enough credible info on her but in regards to women I find it shameful she makes rape victims pay for their own rapekits although we have laws aganst victims footing the bill for a crime against them and she lies a/b telling Congress thanks but no thanks on the bridge and kept the earmarks supports abstinence only programs and cuts funding for teen moms SHe listed the Jet on Ebay but it wasn't sold on Ebay, it sold at a loss and she left Alaskans in debt w/ her ice rink. I'm not going to touch her religious views.

  46. 346

    Re: Kingsley01
    Pst 336
First of all it's THE BOOK OF REVELATION NOT REVELATION(S). So I know you don't know anything a/b Revelation for u to make that mistake. You know, it's tha same good book that was used to justify slavery to slaves. Your nonsense is the most ignorant pile of garbage I have ever read. Your statements clearly show what a racist, judgmental, ignorant person you are. I love how you and others call Obama "the messiah" b/c he's talking sense to some people, saying we need change and w need to hold gov't accountable for their actions. You're porbably one of those that also believes he swore in on the Quran, and is a Muslim even tough the man is a Christian raised by his Christian white grandmother. Seriously your fear blinds your ability to rationalize. FEAR is what is guiding you and FEAR is once again what is being used to justify 4 more years of the same BS.

  47. 347

My god, the majority of the comments here are made by the most UNeducated people in the world, even by the perez folks, One of the main reasons that the economy is the way it is now is because people voted to raise minimum wage, the lower income folks thought they were gonna get more money to buy more stuff, guess what,, the big companies dont give stuff away for free,, you vote for more money, you pay more money! PERIOD. Most of the folks making comments need to look around to make sure they see light, if they dont they need to pull head out of ass and????

  48. 348

Obama already passed a bill with Republican Tom Coburn for putting gov't money on an online database.

Zing–Joe Liberman for Obama never reaching across the aisle

Zing–Sarah Palin for Obama never authoring any legislation.
