Adrianne Curry is speaking out again!
The reality TV star and deep thinker is responding to the comments she made about Hurricane Ike in a blog post titled "Hurricane Victims pay for their own rescues?".
On Monday, Curry once more took to her blog, this time saying:
"People took LSD and read my Hurricane blog
It's the only way they could have seen words I didn't type! I have been accused of having no heart, and wanting people to die! I never once said that. My own flesh and blood, my brother, lives in Florida. He tries to ride out stroms too. Guess what? I think he is a dumbass for it, and should pay if he ever has to be rescued. This is my own BROTHER, why would I think BETTER of the folks I don't even know!
Picture this, firefighters swarm my home and inform me if I do not leave I will die..In 3 days, I will be swallowed by an inferno of death and flames. Can you imagine me saying "You know what guys? I think I'm gonna hunker down here, I'm a California girl now…I can make it through this!"??? Would you feel super terrible for me when I dial 911 minutes later screaming to be saved? Sure you would, that makes you human…but shouldn't I have to pay for my rescue when I was warned? Not many people try to live through the burning of their homes here, sounds stupid right? What is the difference in a hurricane? Do you know how many times my friends have left their homes, only to find out the fire died out or changed direction? That doesn't mean they wont leave the next time! Wouldn't you think we were a bunch of MORONS if you saw us hunkered down in our homes, doing shots, and refusing to leave out of pride?
I would NEVER want a person to die…EVER. I NEVER said it, and I am sorry for those who dropped acid and mushrooms before they read what I had to say and make believed they saw it. I even had a girl wish DEATH on me! Some people make me ashamed to be human! Today on the news, I saw islanders BEGGING for help. My heart gopes out to them…However, when the news reporter asked them why in God's name they would stay on a SAND BAR island when told they would most certainly die, did they stay…..they said "because this is my home, I am an islander"! Are you fucking serious? These people put themselves, their children, and families in harms way! Now they are begging to be shipped out, why didn't they leave in the first place???????????????? There is NO logic and NO reason behind these arguements. It is waisting the time of rescue workers, amnd the time of those who have to clean it up. Like we wont have to spend a lot of money cleaning up…like their expensive rescues dont add up!! These people are starving and have no water simply because they thought they would STAY on an island issued CERTAIN DEATH warnings…the FIRST the National Weather Service has EVER issued. When you play with Mother Nature, you will get burned."

Please people, don't put words in my mouth. Do not think I am heartless for questioning the stupid logic of others. I say what most people don't have the fucking balls to say…and I am not ashamed of it. In national parks, if you fail to follow park rules and need rescued because of it, you are billed.
People say they cant get gas…they have experienced it before. Guiess what? if an earthquake hits and we have to get out of here, we have GAS CANS in our garage FULL of gas for this VERY reason! PREPARE PEOPLE! I have food and water stock piled in my kitchen to ensure I will live. We have gone through plans together on what we would do, where we would go, how we would meet up, defend ourselves…you name it, we have gone through it! If you KNOW a natural disastor can hit you…P L A N! I would rather sit through 26 hours of traffic then risk my death. I have weapons for anyone who thinks they will take me out of my car…food to last me for MORE than a few weeks…PREPARE.
Might I suggest for anyone living in a hurricane prone zone to have gas cans full of gas in their garage….food stock piled…etc. Make a PLAN with your family, run through it a few times. Think of EVERY SINGLE THING that can be thrown at you in times of crisis and PREPARE! THAT makes sense.
My heart DOES go out to all the people out of homes. I hope you all can rebuild your lives quickly. I am sure 2 years down the line you can look back and be PROUD of how you not only survived, but got your shit back together! I have faith in humanity when it comes to working hard to gain things back for themselves. Maybe the Katrina victims, after three years, have worked hard enough to afford a apartment…and can give their temp living to those who are in need from Ike? I don't know. I would say three years of government aid is ALOT. I know the Tornado victims don't get that much where I am from, and they suffer the same, if not worse devestation as Hurrican victims. I don't have the answers for any of this. I am not a heartless bitch. If I stayed in my home after warnings of certain death…and then needed rescue, I would expect to foot that bill. I would expect my own MOM to do it, I expect my brother in Florida to do it….why wouldn't I expect the same from everyone else?"
She's absolutely right. It's one thing if you weren't warned or had no way to escape, but when you're just being stubborn you ARE putting rescue volunteers lives in danger and you are wasting OUR tax money to help you. I don't like Adrienne, but I 100% agree with her on this one!

HELLO! For someone that has FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE with these storms can I tell you that people can't AFFORD to leave. And they can't find hotels that are willing to accept pets. Evacuating from Gustav cost my family $1500 and TWENTY-SEVEN hours on the road one way. We had to sleep in a parking lot the first night. I can't pay my bills now. But it was more important for my family to be safe. Some people can't even afford the gas! Grow up and think of someone besides your own rich and ignorant self.

If you were told to evacuate and decided to ignore, then you are fully responsible for yourself and should have to pay a fee for rescue, a fine for endangerment, as well as additional fines and jail time if you endangered a child or an elderly person. However, if you were one who decided to stay, I'm sure no one would have minded very much.

I live in friendswood and was in mandatory evacuation (B) I decided to stay I have a new house and with held up great we lost a little of our back fence but not much. My mother was not under mandatory evaucation and had a tree go threw her suv and another threw her house. We finally left just do to the fact it was getting very hot. If you live in Houston I hope nothing but the best for you!!
I agree with her. If you were warned and didnt leave then it should be up to you to save yourself. If your house and belongings were so important that you had to stay through the storm, then you should stay after. If you had nowhere to go to before, where do you think youre gonna go after? As for not having the money or the means, I understand that, but when transportation and shelter is being PROVIDED before and you dont use it, then you should provide your own after.

This experience is not fun. No power, water, 6 hour grocery lines, no water to drink, no ice, no gasoline. So while you sit up and think you're wasting your time in responding to me (although you did anyway) why don't you sit back on your comfy couch with your air conditioning, drinking your tap water, having your ability to drive where ever you please because you don't have to fight to get gas, food or water. I totally agree with her. It's ridiculous for these people who are able bodied to sit back and take their chances and then cry "Uncle" later and expect to be rescued. I have no sympathy for them. They were warned to GET OUT several times and they CHOSE not to. It's not fair for others to have to risk their lives to go get these morons out after they decide that maybe they made the wrong decision to stay. Money aside, firefighters and other rescuers have other things they need to be doing and having to take time out to rescue these dumbasses is not fair to others who really need the help through no fault of their own. Most definitely those who stayed against mandatory evacuation orders should be forced to pay for their rescue and it should be a stiff penalty. Then they should be forced to go rescue others.

People have NO CLUE what mayor white was telling everyone! They told everyone to hunker down and not to get on the freeway. I live in friendswood TX between houston and glaveston. I was under mandatory evacuation I stayed I have a new home and no trees Ok a as I call it a charlie brown tree and it was fine. I lost a few boards on my fence. My mother who was told to STAY had a tree go threw her suv and another threw her home and she lives 50 miles inland. So you trust the goverment and stick around because they didn't want what happened with rita and have the freeways packed and ike hit. I finally left not because of damage but because we have no electicity. Some people do not have the fiancial means to leave and get a hotel room and pay for gas. She is so wrong and ignorant!

Did you even read my posts? I am from Texas, but thankfully not along the coast. But we do have our daily worries of Tornados, I only WISH we had as much warning as ya'll do with hurricane's.
What an idiot…..did she really mention people on the island now and that should have left because of certain death……they are still alive and proof that "Certain Death" was overly dramatic. Tornados aren't more dangerous than Hurricanes because the outside edges of the hurrincane are filled with Tornados…..that is why people have to go so far away if they can. Just moving away from where the eyewall is predicted to hit isn't nearly far enough. As for her being fine sitting in traffic for 26 hours to get away, people do. Not everyone is lucky to own a brand new car. They get into that traffic in 90 Degree heat (some unfortunate people that don't have AC in their car), cars overheat and end up on the side of the road (while a hurricane is heading their way), gas stations are few and far between. Then these people that took the advice of CERTAIN DEATH return home and might have a couple of limbs in the yard or a couple of shingles missing. I know this because I live on the gulf coast. I do leave for a Category 3 or higher. Not because I am afraid that something is going to happen to me if I stay. I leave because I don't like the part where the power gets knocked out for one and a half weeks.
For the life of me I'll never understand why anyone in the world gives two shits about her opinion on anything.

#1 People in Kalefornia sometimes can't evacuate because of traffic. I personally know people who weren't even called to evacuate until the fire was already burning down their homes, and they were in their cars for hours just trying to get a couple of blocks to the nearest evacuation center. So shut up. Unless you've been there, you don't know !@#$.
#2 The people in Louisiana who plan on not evacuating in the future aren't reading your blogs, and aren't going to leave because the flooding wasn't so bad with Gustaf. They showed it on the news. Why don't you go and protest there in person, since those people won't be reading your blogs.

I was told to stay where I was b/c I wasn't in a flood zone although there are trees through houses and cars and tons of damage not to mention no power and I do not know where you reside speficially b/c again, you say you live in Texas, but in Houston it is hot here. Why don't you take your funbags from behind your computer, and go to Haiti or somewhere where there is POVERTY (something you have no clue about) and give out aid to hurricane victims/survivors like Matt Damon did, instead of bitching about it. Do something proactive.

But it is not a black/white thing at all, so I will say it. I watched days before Katrina on the Weatherchannel as people interviewed said they would just go to the Super Dome instead of evacuating. In the meantime, the Governor and Mayor were begging people to get out of N'orleans and to reserve the Super Dome for the sick and infirm. I could not believe my EYES watching TV the day Katrina hit, and there they all were, big fat things waddlin' on up the road to the Super Dome, jeopardizing the efforts that had been made to reserve this space for those who needed it. Then they went on to trash it like a bunch of animals. The rest of the world watched in horror and blamed our great country for their situation. And you 100% are right — yet, so few of us are willing to state that MANY of those people could have gotten out. Their utter laziness and selfishness cost others their lives.

Besides, she wasn't saying they shouldn't be rescued. She was saying they should be rescued at their own expense. Do you have any idea how much money and risk goes into trying to evacuate an entire community? They were offered a safe evacuation free of charge. They chose to pass that up. BUT THESE PEOPLE ON HERE NEED TO REALIZE THESE FOOLS DECIDE TO STAY AFTER BEING TOLD SEVERAL TIMES THEY NEEDED TO LEAVE OR MOST WOULD MEET CERTAIN DEATH…I CAN GUARANTEE THERE WILL BE MANY MORE BODIES IN GALVESTON BEFORE THIS IS OVER…IT IS TRUE THAT THE SURGE REACHED FUTHER INLAND THAN EXPECTED AND THE BAY AREAS WERE ESPECIALLY HIT HARD AS I HAVE FAMILY THAT LIVE IN KEMAH AREA AND HAVE LOST THIER HOUSES, BUT THEY HEEDED THE WARNINGS AND AS RESPONSIBLE PARENTS GOT THIER KIDS OUT, THESE PARENTS THAT HAD THIER KIDS STAY WITH THEM IN GALVESTON REALLY ARE SELFISH AS THOSE KIDS DID NOT HAVE A CHOICE AND THIER PARENTS MADE POOR ONES…..T

And if anybody is wondering how people in Houston are on thier laptops with no power, I am running mine off the car battery power.. Electric is coming up in Houston pretty fast, and we were lucky with IKE as it was not as powerful when it hit land as we expected as it lost strength before landfall and the surge did not crest at 20 feet as expected but around 15 in the Galveston area…which means the fools who stayed onthe island should be counting thier blessings and not complaining, if the surge and the storm was stronger they most likely would not have come out alive…..and the body count would be much worse..

I am an IKE survivor and sadly, I agree with this Bitch. Normally I dont. Those ppl were under a MANDATORY evacuation and NOW they want out. I do think they should pay for their own way out as well as being rescued. The one story that sticks with me are the dumbasses that tried to ride it out ON A FUCKING PIER IN THE GULF!!! Uhhhhhhhhhhhh it was a HURRICANE not a tropical storm. They should have had to pay to be airlifted out of there and to wherever it is they have stayed at. I feel for those who did leave and are bascially coming back to nothing. Its so sad knowing that was a place I use to go too and just walk the seawall. Its devastating.

We are discussing about the idoits who stayed thru the evuacations areas that I have been pulling out since early Saturday morning..instead of helping those in need who were hit hard in the Houston area, the time amd $$$$ money could be used for people by no fault of thier own are in a time of need…..Houston was not a mandatory site due to Houston can withstand a category 2 or 3 hurricane..these people who stayed in the areas that were advised of the flooding and the danger of the surge are idoits, I should know I've been listening to them for the last 3 days….

Hey quEEn B, glad you are safe and decided to get out…GALVESTON AND HOUSTON will come back as we have weathered worse storms here such as, Camilla and Alicia along with a few nasty tropical storms, you will walk to Seawall again I promise, yes the people on the pier were idiots and were the same idoits that we saw Friday on the Poop Deck Bar on the seawall. We asked them more than 10 times to come to shelter and after everytime refusing we finally requested that they write thier SS# on thier arms in marks a lot so we would know who they were when we found thier bodies after the storm.

Yeah it may not be the HILTON, but its better than living out of your car. OH and they also provide you with FOOD, WATER, among other helpful things.

I so agree with Adrienne on this one. I grew-up on the Gulf Coast and it rakes me that rescuers are put in harms way because of some dumb asses that decide to stay.

People do not leave because they suffer from post traumatic stress. During Katrina people lost Everything!!! Many moved to Houston from New Orleans..I agree people should leave but when you have suffered over and over again packing up, paying for hotel rooms- which last about a week sometimes longer when there is no power to come back to- it can be very $$$ and it takes months to get reimburst from FEMA. Now FEMA is denying some hotel claims…People I think also do not leave because of finances and stress. Imagine loosing everything you own?? coming back to nothing. When during Katrina it was only supposed to be a weekend evacuation!! Then there are the weather people who have been wrong with storms like Gustav. People get mad they leave pay thousand of dollars for evacutation when it was not nec.

I live in East Texas, about 4 hours north of Galveston, and our little town got hit very hard…Our electricity went out around noon Saturday, and we're still without it. We are doing the best we can with that situation, but we're most of all THANKFUL that we still have our house and the worst damage is limbs in our yard. There is a lot of people that had trees through their houses. Adrienne is still a tampon, slowly moving herself to being called a douche bag. It's amazing how many people have an opinion about all the hurricane victims! I can only assume those with all the negative comments are not from coastal areas. I am one of the many that had to evacuate and I can honestly say that I was one of the people that has said I would never do it again. When hurricane rita threatened Texas I personally sat in 20 hours of traffic. Most of you I am sure have never in your lives had to sit and watch cars catch fire, people run out of gas and pets die from the heat. This is all happening while sitting in traffic that doesn't move for hours on end. And yes my family and I evacuated this time. Having to leave everything you have ever know is terrifying for some people and then to not know where you are going to go is even worse. My family spent hours that week trying to make reservation to stay somewhere. So my point is i can understand why some people made the decision to stay. The hurricane hit my town and most of us are lucky enough to already have power. There are some that won't have it for weeks and weeks. Contrary to what people are saying we are not looking for hand outs or free rides. Texas is a huge state that prides its self on our hospitality and we always will! So for Adrienne's comments why don't you stop typing your venom and do something to help! For those of you that are in the same but as myself and everyone I know I wish you the best and a whole lot of love!!!
