They Were There

Filed under: Jodie Foster > Barbra Streisand > Barack Obama > Leonardo DiCaprio > Chris Rock > Will Ferrell

chrisleo__opt1.jpg jodiewill__opt1.jpg

Leonardo DiCaprio, Jodie Foster, Chris Rock and Will Ferrell dug deep and paid the $28.5K to attend the Barbara Streisand-led fundraiser for Barack Obama in LA on Tuesday.

According to a new report, Obama opened up and shared his feeling about the 'concerns' people have had about the closeness of the race to the White House:

“A lot of you, just in conversations while we were in the photo lines, had all sorts of suggestions… And a lot of people have gotten nervous and concerned. Why is this as close as it is? And what’s going on?” The Illinois senator said that the race was always going to be a hard-fought contest because he represented a “leap” for voters, especially when running against John McCain, a “genuine hero” with a “compelling biography.” Obama said that there was “enormous resistance … because people have been fed cynicism for a long time” but he said that he remained “confident about winning because I’ve looked at John McCain, I’ve looked at Sarah Palin, I’ve looked at their agenda, and they don’t have one.”

Barack is so diplomatic!

94You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
    xxxxxxxx
But you really BELIVE you can help them by making the rich even RICHER by Republican tax laws?

You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
    XXXXXX
Strong? What s that supposed to mean: Strong in LYING? Strong in manipulating and bribing the press? Strong in exploiting(!) the employees by paying EXCESSIVE salary to the MANAGERIAL statt?

You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
    XXXXX
Oh yeah…I guess that s EXACTLY what all the home owners and low-salary earners thaought when taking up their DEBTS and MORTGAGES!

Re: Bavaria – It would be great to have a viable third party. I wish a revolution would occur. I want people to look beyond the 2 party system we have now. Some people really think we'll have change with these 2 power hungry elitists. I don't see change anytime soon. Hopefully one day….

You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down.
    XXXXXXXXXXX
You mean it s WRONG to lower the management salaries and giving some of it to the low-income range wage earners? Don t think so…

You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.
    xxxxxxxxxx
Brotherhood of man"? I cannot SEE it in the USA! The rich / your Republican Administration did NOT give health insurance or a working(!) social security system to the weaker people! Instead they gave tax cuts to the already RICH! And let the RICH who all possess STOCKS and SHARES of weapons and reconstruction combines and earn money from the latest war in Iraq. While the POOR US citizens are getting KILLED or crippled in Iraq for the PROFITS of the RICH in the US!

You cannot build character and courage by taking away men's initiative and independence.
    XXXXXXXXX
FOX and the conservative media maffia has long since taken this away from you! And since WHEN are "embedded journalists - the ONLY ONES ALLOWED to report from Iraq!) "independent"?

You cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they could and should do for themselves.
    XXXXXXXX
Right, let them STARVE in the USA, or DIE in the USA for lack of health insurance and let them get killed in your SILLY unjustified Republican attack wars as long as there s OIL and profit for Republican investors in it!

  6. 106

you fools all fall for the "Obama glitz 'n glamor"
    -
-he's a nothing, that came from nowhere. a pure invention from the media. think for a second, if he was white would you vote for him then??? or would you vote for Hillary??

  7. 107

    plus Hillary sucks balls!!

Re: njpaul0129 – When has war ever solved anything?? Do you honestly want to stay in war for another 100 years as McCain wants, just so that we can be the winners?

CHANGE (that's from Obama, not the lying McCain).

  9. 109

It's time for us to roll up our sleeves and make major inclusive changes in America. we can't go back, we must move forward and be better at it.

    Obama/Biden

Re: _Alice_ – Hi Alice….I think that, depending on the outcome of this election, you may see the tides turn on the issue of a 3rd party. Until now, 3rd party candidates tend to be defectors from the right. I think more and more politicians are seeing the effects of extremists hijacking BOTH parties with their ideological agendas…………I like your "tea party" plan……….can't this be put up as a referendum somehow, and put it out to the people to finally lay to rest the archaic electoral system we operate on now?

    Re: sparkys nemesis
    Post 55
I'm sorry to disagree but none other than Palin have "executive experience" and None on the ticket will have presidential experience til made President. Palin and Obama are not running against each other but you know what, if the 2 rookies topped the ticket I'd still back Obama b/c Palin has NO CLUE a/b Foreign policy what so ever. She can't tell us a/b our "enemies" nor what the Bush doctrine is…and yes I knew what it is along with the Powell doctrine which Bush SHOULD have followed. These are dangerous times we live in and since Palin has no clue a/b foreign policy I wouldn't want her anywhere near to making any decisions on our political landscape. We do not exist in a vacuum.

  12. 112

    Re: _Alice_
And I am in no way saying that we should ignore international politics. The terrifying thing here is the idea that people are so scared that Europe will hate us forever that they're willing to vote for whoever Europe likes the most. Europeans expect us to COWER to their almighty opinions and vote as they tell us and that is definitely not the way to elect a president who is supposed to put American interests first.

remember McCain originally had Chuck Norris on stage with him regularly while campaigning. bwa haa.

  15. 115

    Re: Bavaria
Have you ever even BEEN to the US? 95% of the media is entirely liberal and biased to a fault. Perez is a good example of what we're bombarded with on a daily basis and it's ridiculous. Anyone with opinions other that "Obama is great" is not respected for having their own opinion, but rather they're derided for being "stupid" and "uncool" and openly mocked.

I don't have a problem with the rest of the world giving their opinions on our election..if I saw someone say something like "As a citizen of [COUNTRY], it is my personal opinion that [CANDIDATE] would make a good US president for the following reasons…" then I'd be perfectly content to read said comment and take it into account when I go to vote in November.
What I ACTUALLY see, however, is this: "LOL U STUPID AMERICANS! I REPRESENT EUROPE AND EVERYONE IN EUROPE HATES YOU AND THINKS YOUR DUMBASSES. NE1 WHO VOTES FOR MCCAIN IS JUST PROVING THAT UR ALL RETARDED!" and I find it ridiculous that some people believe that Americans are so ashamed of their country that they'll listen to garbage like this.

  16. 116

    Re: _Alice_

    Alice,
I often wonder WHAT has to happen still BEFORE things really change in the U.S…..not even 9/11 woke them up…..
I used to work for a large American Corporation in Germany a few years ago - my American colleagues just couldn t BELIEVE the way the last election went and that this ridiculous fully corrupted Republican Administration was voted for AGAIN! They said they want to stay in Bavaria/Germany till the Republicans are no longer in power…I suppose they ll NEVER return to the U.S. once they SAW and EXPREIENCED HERE in europe WHAT democracy, freedom and RESPONSIBLE political behaviour and employee s RIGHTS and WELFARE of one s own country s people means here in Europe! *G*

I guess America will in the end end like all "Empires" such as the Roman Empire, the Maya Culture…i.e. "Raise to power - Power - Decadence/Arrogance and ignorance of the rich - Downfall"….

The way US campaigning is done will never lead to electing the BEST FIT President but always only to electing the RICHEST, best LYING and most CORRUPTED as President….
I really think Iran and other States with oil should NOT posses Nuclear weapons and NEITHER should any Republican US Administration as well!

  17. 117

When the people you're talking to just paid almost $29,000 a plate to hear you speak, you'd better tell 'em what they want to hear. These people live in a fantasyland so he was smart to feed them more fantasy. Once again, he said nothing about his experience, and we know why.

  18. 118

To all these people who think they would be so better off with Obama, let me enlighten you.

All he's going to do for you is give you a $500 handout. That's it people. That's the big tax cut in a nutshell. Doesn't it remind you of the stimulus package you got this year? It should because that's exactly what it is.

  19. 119

Obama sucks! Tell me to put my white hat back on or tell me I am racist, I do not care.
    McCain all the way!

    Re: Renfamous

You still didn t get it: "Europe" (by the way, the individual European countries very much DIFFER internally, pöolitically and economically!*G*) doesn t like ANY of your two candidates!!!! By Europeans (or at least Germans) Obama is just thought to be "the lesser of two evils" so to speak…*G*

  21. 121

    Re: Renfamous
The global community supports Obama b/c Obama is the FIRST to ever step out of the shadows of the Bush doctrine and say we need to TALK to our "enemies" first you know, use Diplomacy? Short term memory is a bitch I see, because after 9-11 the majority of the world supported us and were willing to work w/ us to curb The Base but you know what Bush, did the most reprehensible thing imaginable, he turned his back on the international community after decided to invade a sovereign nation after the UN said their was no basis for it … guess what the UN was right. Ultimatley the international community is looking for cool heads NOT stubborness. McCain is more of the same talking war with Iran w/o debriefing we the people nor the UN again. Pre Emption is a dangerous road to travel b/c it serves as justification for the "other side" to strike us for no reason other than "I thought the Us was gunning for us"

  22. 122

How sad that the only people who care about Obama are celebrities.

Re: Angelina3211 – …yes, you're right… everyone who isn't a celebrity supports John McCain. Are you an ass? The only reason why we hear of things like this is BECAUSE they're celebrities… you would not expect nor read about regular people endorsing Barack, because it's not as interesting. And on the other hand, what famous people have been supporting John McCain lately? Heidi Montag?

  25. 125

Re: bango skanks – just because someone is not voting obama, doesnt make them racist.

stop trying to scare people into a voting for someone they just dont believe in.

otherwise, ill just say that you are SEXIST for not voting for palin, even though you probably arent.

  26. 126

    Re: MINXLIVES

    got me! :)

  27. 127

Well, since they are all voting for Obama, I will too!

    Barf.

  28. 128

Re: Bavaria – post 121- True. I too think Obama is the lesser of two evils. But I seriously think McCain will win. The electoral map is showing McCain with more electorates at the moment. But, the tide could turn. Ohio will be the state to watch. This will be interesting. Do you plan on watching the debates?

  29. 129

I am tired of democratics basically stating that if you support a republican, you are unaware, stupid, etc. Obama talks alot, but he is flipping all around on things and while it is great if we get universal healthcare and do everything he has promised, he fully does not know where the money would come from. and discussing concerns with people who were able to pay 28K-why doesn't he go down to Mickey D's and find real people who are on the edge, not people who make 20m a movie. And discussing Palin's lack of experience is hyopcritical. I am independent, was supporting obama originally, but I am drifting further and further away.

  30. 130

Re: Renfamous – Yes because europeans are so wonderful Hiltler, Mussillini, Dr. mengela, klaus barbie, lovely lovely people, the third reich, the whole of GERMANY that did nothing to stop the slaughter of innocent people, to the stupid German who wrote about how great her country is: You would not even have a free country if it was not for countries like the U.S. and Great Britain imagine if you were still living under the third reich stupid bitch. America is far from perfect but then again so is your country, so don't even go there how you and your country have everything solved. douche

  31. 131

Wow there are some dipshits on here, especially this Bavaria tool. Someone answer what Obama's agenda is… I'll wait. Obama has NO record in Washington, is a liar and a racist.

I will debate anyone on here about who has more experience and who is better for the country.

    McCain / Palin 2008!!

  32. 132

Re: mamajud – Hey mamajud- I wrote a post earlier to you but apparently it didn't go through. Oh well.
Anyway, yes, I thinka "tea party" would be great. Every election year, whether it's for the President or our Congress, we elect people who screw us over. We elect people who promise us things and never deliver. They screw up and WE pay for it. Why do we keep electing scumbags? Are we sheeple who can't wake up? Is the biased media to blame? While politicans continue to line their own pockets, we suffer. They start wars and we suffer. We NEED a change and soon.

  33. 133

Re: Bavaria – Oh and fox is the only media outlet? It does lean very much to the right but almost all other media leans left to center so firmer la bouche, you strudel eating, leiderhose wearing, warm beer drinking, octoberfest drunking, sausage eating, sauerkraut smelling, master racing, turd.

Re: hollyholly8Re: LordKain – As a matter of fact I live in CHICAGO, you know the great place Mr. OSAMA is from, so you can save the redneck jokes for someone it applies to. As for my beliefs, I do believe that OBAMA is full of shit and he tells people what they want to hear. Trust me, I was born and raised in Chicago and one thing it's full of are people you talk fast and tell you what you want to here. He is a liar and it NOT quailfied to lead our country!!!

And yes, I know you have to be an american citizen to run for president ass clown!!! He does not represent what americans stand for. This country was founded by Judeo-Christian beliefs and he has NONE of those, therefore to me, he is NOT an AMERICAN. The ass munch "celebrities" that endorse him are wacked out on drugs if they think he will ACTUALLY change anything!!!

It offends me when my children can't celebrate Christmas in the classroom! It has been done for decades and all of the sudden it offends someone…TOUGH SHIT, GET OVER IT!!! If you don't like it here MOVE…Plain and simple and if you don't speak english then you will not be able to function in the USA until you do!!!

  36. 136

Re: wompus – #132 - Good luck, I've been asking that same question for days. I just get called things like an idiot, narrow minded, self righteous and the kicker - a sloppy cunt. From someone who probably sat there on her fat size 10 ass sucking down Marlboro's, Cokes and yelling at the kids "shut up, mommy's trying to blog politics" but meanwhile only typing "McCain is more of the same" over and over and over and over. :-)

  37. 137

Seeing McCain with "middle America" and seeing Obama hobnobbing with Hollywood's elite makes it frighteningly simple to choose a candidate. As soon as these celebrities begin touting who they are behind, that's when I choose the opposite……………………..GO MCCAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  38. 138

Without the US, Europe would be defenseless against an aggressive Russia or any other nation that would use WMDs. Without NATO, Europe would be unable to defend itself. NATO ensures the freedom of Europe. The alliance keeps Eastern Europe and Asia from being aggressive. Without the US, NATO would not have the nuclear arms to keep these countries at bay. The US supplies all of the nuclear warheads for NATO's arms. Like us or not, until NATO restructures itself, Europe is dependent on the US.

  39. 139

WTF! Stop being so political. This site is for celebrity GOSSIP! And for those of you who say "Wake up People" because we don't support Obama, have you ever thought that maybe YOU should wake up? What is he going to do that is sooo different NOTHING!

  40. 140

What arrogant, rich, pampered, snobs. Did Barrack snicker with them about the rest of us in flyover country who cling to our Bibles and our guns?

  41. 141

    That's right!

    OBAMA/BIDEN '08

Before 9/11, (some international press says even NOW still, as USA side with criminal DICTATOR WARLORDS in Iraq today!) Bush and other Republicans were always BIG CLOSE FRIENDS(!!!) with Muslim Dictators (and other Dictators in South America, e.g.) such as Osama Bin Laden!
Bush and Cheney a.s.o. made billions and billions of PRIVATE PROFITS from Osama BEFORE 9/11 and AFTER the Iraq war (which is still NOT over yet, no matter what the LYING US Bush PR press may tell you!!).
There was a REASON why 9/11 happened and why with this DUMB Republicans it will happen AGAIN, I m afraid.
Yes, I know Germans who even gave money to US Charity for the victims of 9/11 - don t think they d do that again now with seeing that this corruptiveness with dictator regimes of a US Government CONTINUES if McCain is indeed elected.

  48. 148

Re: Geminibarbi – Damn, you're in a bad case of denial. If you haven't noticed, America isn't about being white, speaking English, loving war and getting a big American flag tattooed on across your chest. Things are changing… maybe you should get out of your bubble and notice it. The difference I see between the two candidates is the Obama accepts this change and is planning accordingly; McCain is trying embrace 1960's America, when things were different, and maybe better, but that will not happen. You can't stop foreigners from coming here and speaking a different language. Try to see this with an open mind and don't accuse everyone who is not home-grown American as being a "terrorist;" it's wildly offensive.

  49. 149

An actual quote from John McCain:

“Women, he thinks, will vote another woman into office regardless of the candidate's values, experience and political positions.”

He really must think we are stupid. And sadly, many Americans are (hence why he is currently leading the polls). Sad, sad, sad. :(

OH, they have an agenda, alright Barack, and it's to further FUCK THIS COUNTRY UP!

  52. 152

German involvement outstripped that of all the other countries put together, the paper said. During the period to 1991, the German authoritiespermitted weapons co-operation with Iraq and in some cases "actively encouraged" it, according to the newspaper which cited German assistance allegedly given to Iraq for the development of poison gas used in the 1988 massacre of Kurds in northern Iraq. It said that after the massacre America reduced its military co-operation with Iraq but German firms continued their activities until the Gulf War.

If so, You are a foreign poilicy connect the dot freal like I am. A kindred spirit! Most Americans do not know that we trained Osama AND Saddam, we armed them and we gave them power…. Classic tales of Clash of Civilizations. Too bad most Americans still believe we were attacked on 9-11 because Osama envies our "freedoms", the Middle East could give two shits what we do in our country, it what's being done overseas by our gov't IN OUR NAME that is the true culprit.

They seem to have "forgotten" or "ignore" anything thast does not fit into their illusional image of the Republicans. I like the fact that after your country last big war, Germany, weighs its actions before venturing in those waters again. Have you ever seen "the good German"? AS for the wars you mentioned unfortunately most are not versed in the details of those wars, especially the Red Indian or Korean war. Most don't even understand the signigfigance of the 38th parallel.

  62. 162

Interesting how Mr. Obabama says he's not run by special interest…but he's only interested in what's on the mind of people who can afford to see him? He shouldn't be sitting at high priced fundraisers when the bottom fell out of the market on Monday and during a crisis like Hurrican Ike, what an ass! He couldn't even appear on television to talk about an economic plan, he had to send his vice presidential candidate flunkie to talk for him. And even his flunkie was an idiot. Guess as being part of the middle class my highest goal is to have enough money to buy a toaster

  63. 163

Germany, currently opposed to war, is shown to be Iraq's biggest arms-trading partner with 80 companies selling weapons technology, including Siemens. It sold medical machines with dual-purpose parts used to detonate nuclear bombs. The German government reportedly 'actively encouraged' weapons co-operation and assistance was allegedly given to Iraq in developing poison gas used against Kurds.

Germany delivered technical know-how, components, basic substances and even entire technical facilities for the development of atomic, chemical and biological weapons of mass destruction to Iraq right since 1975.
    -
In some cases, conventional military and technical dealings between Germany and Iraq are said to date till 2001, ten years after the second Gulf war and a time when international sanctions against Saddam Hussein are still in place.

Oh PUHLEASE, it was a pre- planned engagement and NEITHER candidate has offered a solution to AIG. Fact is AIG had to be bailed out as it's a major global player especially for our economy. Is anybody bitching a/b John McCain's Florida fundraiser? Elections cost money people. You're acting like Obama was out raising money while some life threatening issue was afflicting our nation. If he stuck to the fundraising during a devastating natural disaster you wuld have had a point. Right now, using the economy ( the very thing he wants to fix) as a basis to ditch his fundraising comes across as a desperate reason to discredit him. You're grasping at straws with this one Just like McCain's Lipstick on a pig.

MINXLIVES: You re RIGHT in every aspect with what you say ….it s NOT "envy" (in fact, there s hardlys any overseas country LEFT to even THINK that the USA are STILL superior in any field after the Bush years….!*G*), it simply CONCERN for PEACE worldwide and the environment and getting along well with foreign nations to the benefit of ALL! Not like the Reps in the USA just for the U.S.!
Unfortunately I guess there s no CURE for DELIBERATE ignorance of the Rep voters… ….DECADES have PASSED since when the US were regarded as "superior" or a "role model" in democracy - the Rep Administrations RUINED it all worldwide. I don t think (or maybe it s also just a HOPE of mine*G*) that any German Chancellor would be elected a second or even a third time AGAIN if he/shehad lied to the people and acted irresponsible like Bush did!

    Re: Bavaria
Hey Bavaria, thanks for your insight. Unfortunately I do not think you can have any impact on a number of the racist Americans on this site. I for one am very glad I have dual citizenship and plan to move back home if McCain wins this election.

    Re: ERRRBOOO
So, your ANCESTORS then, so to speak…well, that, of course, would EXPLAIN to me your still voting Republican! …*G*

  74. 174

you needed to pay 28K just to hear a presidential candidate speak? Thats more than i make a year. So i guess only the rich people have the "priviledge" of getting to listen to leaders of the country. We "normies" mean jack shit. God i hate rich people!

Re: SweetMelissa1224 – Great point, Melissa! Couldn't agree more. It's political BS!!

Re: _Alice_ – I have been to many different countries including Germany, and no I am not from the south. I love how you throw the redneck word out as if that is a viable response, it shows that you are stupid and cannot debate issuses with substance. I do not think that America has all the answers on the contrary I think we have major problems. But I get sick of people from other places, especially those whose history is littered with brutallity, cruelty saying that our country is horrible and that all Americans are stupid, and only they know how our country should run. I find it kind of funny how Americans are considered unintelligent when we are still the most powerfull nation on earth. How dumb does that make the rest of the world?

  77. 177

Re: Bavaria – MICHAEL MOORE? You have got to be kidding, right??? I wouldn't donate one second of my valuable time to that fat ass, LIBERAL, America hating, radical, extremist kook.

    Re: MINXLIVES
The term "The Good German" rings a bell with me, wasn t George Clooney in it? However, I did not see the movie….however, our pupils really learn a LOT of history in our schools - I wished yours in the U.S. would learn as much about ALL what was "behind" Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan and the Drug Trafficking Political Maffia in South and Central America and how CORRUPTED American Secret Service and Government agencies and Republican Administrations were and how DEEP they had their sticky fingers in it (and still HAVE till today in some dictator regions…)…..maybe then they would LEARN how to DISTRUST what they are told by their Republican conservatives or the media….

  79. 179

    Re: Melissa is always right

Your way of speaking tells me A LOT about what kind of people vote Republican! *G*
I DO know that MM is NOT a "neutral" source to quote, however, he got all the FACTS RIGHT about Bush! Whether you like it or NOT°! Otherwise he would have been DRAGGED TO COURT! *G*

Your latest facebook update… because I love it SO much!!!

    Barack Obama's page: 1,856,142 supporters
    John McCain's page: 338,152 supporters

    Love it!

    Re: ERRRBOOO

Wake up!! "The most powerful country in the world" meantime is CHINA!!!! The USA WAS(!) it, last maybe in the 70s or so …..
Then comes INDIA! Then ASIA! Then INDONESIA! Then EUROPE! Then RUSSIA…Then …*sigh* Ignorance is BLISS, isn t it? *G*

And what does "powerful" have to do with "intelligence"??? I d also prefer to call the latter one "rationality"…. :-)

Re: ERRRBOOO – you do realize Alice is in Germany b/c her husband is US MILITARY!

……..while I disagree with some of her politics, I value her opinion far more than that of some armchair blowhard

Re: ERRRBOOO – You're right, I shouldn't have done that. But then, I could say the same for you. Your post I replied to WAS offensive and I reacted. Sorry.
And I can debate. But judging by how angry you are, I doubt that is possible. But I will try. Can we stay civil?
Maybe, it does hurt when other people from other countries attack us personally. But, look at what we're doing ALL over the globe. People are pissed off and rightly so. I, personally believe the war in Iraq is just plain evil. We invaded based on lies and now we're killing innocent civilians. We want oil, and we will get it If Bush has his way.We are over stepping our bounds in Afghanistan as well. Same with Russia. Why the hell are we putting "defense missiles" in Poland? Russia has stated quite clearly that is an act of aggression and will not go unpunished. Imagine this….what if Russia set missiles up in Mexico? What would we do? We'd attack wouldn't we? Hello, Cuban missile crisis?
We over step our bounds all over the globe and we think we are the world police. We are hated for that reason. They think we are an Empire who answers to no one. And we are wreaking havoc on the planet. That's why they're pissed off.

  84. 184

Hahaha your last remark sounded snide and sarcastic coming from a GOP
    -
I think their 28k would have been much better given to a charity that an Obama Dinner, instead of "giving to the poor" he's giving to his campaign, surprise surprise. Hey Celebutards, stop wasting 30k and a dinner and go donate it to a homeless shelter in LA, or Much Love Animal Shelter in LA, or how about Heal the Bay in LA…Los Angeles has some of the best charities, I'm sure they could use your 30k!!!

    Re: SquirrelLives

Maybe you do not KNOW: We do have and have had during the Iraq war years (which will last FOREVER due to the way Bush acted there) a rather CONSERVATIVE (equals somewhat the Republican Party in the U.S.) Government in Germany, I never said that Germany didn t do anything wrong….the difference is: WE learn from our mistakes - the U.S. Administration does NOT! :-)

FIRST OF ALL PALIN DID THE RIGHT THING BY FAIRING A POLICE CHIEF WHO IS SUPPOSE TO TAKE HER ORDERS..HE DID NOT FIRE A POLICE OFFICER WHO TAZORED A 10YR OLD BOY AND DRANK BEER IN HIS COP CAR…WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!!!
    -
SARAH PALIN DID THE RIGHT THING, WHO TAZORS A 10YR OLD BOY???????????? THEY SHOULD BE THROWN IN JAIL AND TAZORED EVERYDAY FOR AMONTH FOR DOING SOMETHING LIKE THAT AND SARAH SPECIFICALLY TOLD THE CHIEF OF POLICE TO FIRE HIM AND SINCE THEY'RE BUDDIES HE REFUSED AND THATS WHY HE GOT FIRED!

Even Obama as recently as yesterday has admitted that the Iraq war was not illegal and within the framework of a UN Mandate. Obama has no intention of pulling troops out of Iraq. He has even tried to delay the troop withdrawals.
    -
Obama said "some media reports that I want all [American] forces withdrawn are wrong. I want to keep American forces [in Iraq] to train [the Iraqi army] and fight terrorism."
    -
This is precisely what US troops have been doing in Iraq for the last five years.

  91. 191

    Re: _Alice_
Alice WE are NOT killing innocent civilians, when will you understand that we have saved innocent civilians that were being killed off by the thousands under Saddam Huessiens Dictatorship and he WAS giving Al Quida Nuclear Technology and Intellegents…finding WMD doesnt mean you go dig up a Nuke, having the technology like Uranium and Intellegents to create one is the real threat, once they've created an actual Nuke its TOO LATE!…we are trying to PREVENT Al Quida, Iran, N Korea, The Taliban from having the abilty to create one.
    -
Since entering the War in Iraq we have saved thousand of Iraqi Civilians, killed Saddam Huessien and restored the country to a democracy so the Iraqi's no longer have to live in fear.
    -
Would you prefer our Intellegents ignore everything and let them all build Nuclear Weapons? Have you listen to Obama bin Laden Speak??? He's said specifically he would first like to Nuke Isreal and Then the US, would you rather have that, or a President who see's a threat and faces it to protect our country???????

Re: _Alice_ – nobody talks shit @ my sista mama…….I'm home alone today for the 1st time in nine years…….it's waaay too quiet in here! I could probably find more productive way to spend pass time ;)

  93. 193

    Re: JanaJana – #94
    Nice! I'll add:
    -
"The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not."
    -
"I think we have more machinery of government than is necessary, too many parasites living on the labor of the industrious."

    - Thomas Jefferson

  94. 194

    Re: Bavaria – Post 186
You said in Post 144 - "this IDIOT Bush and Cheney and Rumsfeld and CORRUPTED oil- and share-rise-GREEDY Repulicans STRENGTHENED Osama Bin Laden and the Iraqi terrorist extremists INSTEAD by selling(!) them weapons for DECADES (!!!)!"
    -
You conveniently left out the fact that Germany, France and the UK equally contributed to the weapons and technology supplied to Iraq. I took offense to your one sided blame. I was pointing out that the US is not solely to blame for Iraq's weapons build-up. The US used a UN Mandate to ask our Congress for authorization to go in and neutralize this growing problem. A problem that was made real by many European countries, not just the US.

  95. 195

Re: SquirrelLives – Squirrell, I don't support Obama either. And while I understand why we're still there, it does not negate the reason WHY we invaded. There were no wmd's, Bin Laden had nothing to do with Iraq, and the connection to 9/11 is non existent. We are there for Bush. We are there for oil. And we are there MURDERING innocent people.
That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it. Sorry

  96. 196

Re: Bavaria – #180 - Google Rod Blagojevich impeachment; google Emil Jones Ameren, google Dick Durbin; Michael Madigan, Lisa Madigan - the hits just keep coming from that circle of greed. The State of Illinois is a state of disarray and it is because of Barry Obama and all his cronies who TALK about change but don't back it up. Google Chicago's sales tax rate or State of Illinois employees pension fund or better yet, google Chicago's murder rate. Then you'll see why, from the way I speak, why I would never support a glad handing Democrat. His fatness Michael Moore should do an expose on the corruption that is Chicago politics.

  97. 197

Re: arrora – Hey arrora. I knew you couldn't stay away from me;)
We are just going to have to drop this one because we've talked about it already. You think very differently than me and arguing would lead us to nowhere. We will have to respectfully disagree on this one. I won't change my mind. And I know for sure I can't change yours:)

  98. 198

Re: hollyholly8 – Sweetie, it is ignorant people like you that believe on word can "change" America. My ancestors had to learn english and so should everyone else! PERIOD!!! NO EXCEPTIONS!!! We give in and give in until our beliefs no longer matter. It is not okay to vote an inexperienced person to be our commander in chief! It never will be!!
Do you honestly think that "change" will stop the war??? Hahaha You are very nieve, aren't you? I don't like war as much as the next guy but, the word change will not make it end. Of course most other countries want Obama as president, so they can push his inexperienced ass around.
I KNOW that MCCAIN/PALIN is the right choice. Any other choice is suicidal…..
