So now that we know the babydaddy to Jennie Garth‘s character on 90210, the actress is finally speaking out.

Last night, they revealed that Dylan McKay is the father of Kelly’s four year old son.

And, today, Garth is talking all about it!

In an interview, Jennie was asked what she thought about the idea of Kelly having a kid.

“It was very confusing for me because initially the idea of having a son was my idea. I thought it would bring a great amount of depth to my character. Then the question came up, ├óΓé¼╦£Well, who├óΓé¼Γäós the father?├óΓé¼Γäó And I really hadn├óΓé¼Γäót thought it through that far. So, I was like, Oh, I guess need one of those. It├óΓé¼Γäós gone back and forth: Who and what and when and why? I think they settled on Dylan because Kelly and Dylan had such a passionate relationship in the past. Their relationship was so heated. It was kind of undeniable.”

As for the producers choosing Luke Perry, it had little to do with his acting skills, but mostly with his timing to appear on the show.

Jennie reveals:

“A lot of it has to do with availability ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ where, when they would need them. It was never like, we definitely want to make it Dylan because of X,Y and Z. It was kind of like wait and see how it pans out. I didn├óΓé¼Γäót even know for the first three or four episodes who the father was. And then I read it in the script, and I was like, ├óΓé¼╦£Oh, okay. I guess Dylan├óΓé¼Γäós the dad. Great.├óΓé¼Γäó”

But more importantly, will Dylan make a cameo any time soon?

Jennie added, “I would love to work with Luke again. I love him dearly. And I also would love to work with Jason [Priestley] again. It├óΓé¼Γäós a great question for the producers. I would be nothing but totally happy to have either of them there.”

And will Kelly ever hook up with Brandon again?

Jennie reveals, “There are some people that think Kelly and Brandon belong together. It├óΓé¼Γäós interesting, just because the father is Dylan doesn├óΓé¼Γäót mean that├óΓé¼Γäós who Kelly is ultimately going to end up with.”
