We ARE being used. Has there ever been a time when we didn't get screwed over by a President in some way or another? They don't care about us. As soon as they get the whiff of power, they go into some selfish little world and try to win at all costs. McCain is doing it with Palin and Obama is doing it by promising us that he will withdraw the troops. They both have their ways and they both lie. The problem is, people get so stuck on their own party that they can't look at it objectively. Instead of questioning their own nominee, they kiss his feet and are completely oblivious to any wrong doing that they have done. Like "sheeple", we baa-baa everytime they throw a promise at us. As you well know, the celebrities are holding fund raisers. Why are they raising millions of dollars for the candidates when we and they know who they are, where they stand and already have enough money to finish campaigning on? Wouldn't that money be better suited and more appreciated as donations to Hurricane Ike victims as well as Katrina victims? They could donate x amount of dollars in their candidate's name. ~just a thought.

Under the orginal terms of the Constitution, the members of the Electoral College voted ONLY for the President. Each elector was allowed to vote for 2 people for the Presidency. The one with the second highest number of votes, was then named VP.

Do you not understand the sacrifices that the services members go through. MY husband is getting ready to go back to afghanistan for another 13 months. His first tour there he was shot at, blown up, almost killed, and to think that people in america are calling services members bad because they are either killed or are a prisoner of war. The media only gives you the news people want to hear. you dont realize how much they twist it up. Im proud to have that oppurtunity to serve my country even for the ungrateful one. Because i know that the men and women in the military are happy to lay there life on the line to be apart of something bigger than them. Just to know that we are protecting our country so the citizens of america can go on and live another day safe from terrorism. Many men and women have died not because they were bad, but because they knew that when there kids grow up they can live a life of freedom, Freedom to choose how they want to live, and to know that there moms and dad died for them and died for the Country. That is the biggest honor of them all. Whether a prisoner of war or Killed in Action, or Suffered from Post tramatic tress disorder from being in such a hostel environment, they deserve respect, because i know half of america doesnt have the damn balls to go out there and do what we do.
