4 Dead, 2 Injured - Travis Barker & DJ A.M. Hurt But Survive Fatal Plane Crash

This is heartbreaking! So tragic.
Travis Barker was involved in a fatal private plane crash in Columbia, South Carolina early on Saturday morning, killing four and injuring two.
The former Blink 182 drummer is said to be one of the two injured.
Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen says the plane carrying six people was departing shortly before midnight Friday when air traffic controllers reporting seeing sparks.
She says the plane went off the runway and crashed on a nearby road.
Bergen says the Lear 60 was headed to Van Nuys, Calif.
She didn't have the names of those killed and didn't know the conditions of the two people injured.

We are hearing that D.J. A.M. was also on the plane at the time of the crash.
Please pray to God that he is okay!!!!
Update #2: Travis is in "critical" condition.
He's been transfered to the Agusta, Georgia Burn Center. We pray that his injuries are not severe.
Update #3: D.J. A.M. is alive!!!!!
It's a miracle!!!!
We're hearing he is in critical condition as well.
God was with Travis and A.M.!
Of the six people involved in the fatal plane crash, they were the only two that survived!
So incredibly sad about those lost.
Update #4: An airport spokesperson says the plane - a small lear jet - crashed just after take off a little before midnight Friday. It appears the plane was attempting to take off, ran off the runway, through a fence, and hit an embankment along Highway 302.
The plane then caught fire.
Our heart goes out to the family and friends of those who passed. Their names have yet to be released.
Update #5: Gavin DeGraw and Perry Farrell were also at the concert Travis and A.M. were performing at. It is unknown at this time if either of theme were also on the plane.
Update #6: Federal officials say two crew members and two passengers were killed. They are three males and one female.
Details are still unknown as to what caused the crash.

I just looked at the vid from the local news website. If you turn up the volume you can here the crew chit chatting and bickering about stupid stuff. Totally disrespectful considering they are filming a fatal crash, IMO.
MSNBC is reporting that the pilot was a woman, so Shannon was NOT on the plane.
Four other people on board the jet died in the accident. They include the pilot Sarah Lemmon, 31, of Anaheim Hills, Calif., and co-pilot James Bland, 52, of Carlsbad, Calif., Lexington County Coroner Harry O. Harman said.
The identities of two passengers killed in the crash have not been released.

The female was the pilot not Shanna Moakler. One of the males was the co-pilot and it was confirmed that Travis' asst. Chris is deceased.
apparently they never heard of the phrase, "stop, drop and roll." The witness said that he saw two men running around stripping their clothes off trying to extinguish themselves. I hope they're alright too. Hopefully Trav's tattoos fared well?

Lexington County Deputy Coroner Brian Setree confirmed for MTV News on Saturday morning that three men and a woman were killed in the crash. Just after 10 a.m. Saturday, Setree identified two of the crash victims: the plane's pilot, Sarah Lemmon, 31, of Anaheim, California, and her co-pilot, James Bland, who was 52 and lived in Carlsbad, California. At 10:40, Setree confirmed that Barker's assistant, Chris "Little Chris" Baker, also died in the crash. He was 29, and lived in Studio City, California.
Thankfully the important people survived.LUCKILY THE COMMON FOLKS TOOK THE BRUNT OF THE CRASH.

Travis Barker's assistant was one of the three people who died in last night's plane crash in Columbia, SC.
Chris Baker, 29, died along with the pilot Sarah Lemmon and co-pilot James Bland, according to WACH. Barker and DJ AM are still in a burn center in Augusta, GA in critical condition.
Gavin Degraw's father has told a local paper in SC Degraw was not on the plane and is still in Columbia.

9/11 was a horrible event that took the lives of thousands along with ruining peoples health, and leaving us with such horrible situations. I live in NYC and words cant explain how life is here now, security is tighter then ever, and there are police officers peforming daily bag checks in the subway. But i do believ this is a HORRIBLE event but if celebrities a werent involved this would eb nothing.

this is truly heartbreaking. i was reading that chris baker was trying to get home as soon as possible because his wife was giving birth. dj am has been placed in a doctor-induced coma because he suffered facial burns and will undergo skin grafts. barkers' burns were from the waist down. my heart goes out to all the victims in this accident
