PETA wants Ben & Jerry's ice cream to start using HUMAN BREAST MILK for their ice cream instead of cow milk!!!

This is in the wake of a Swiss restaurant owner's decision to start purchasing breast milk from nursing mothers for use in their dairy products.
Has he solicited Jamie Lynn Spears for help?
PETA is serious, though, claiming that it makes more sense to use milk intended for human babies instead of milk intended for cow babies. They say that the use of human milk will decrease the suffering of dairy cows.
Okay, we know that PETA is a little, shall we say, passionate, but um…have they heard of soy milk? Human breast milk is just a tad bit extreme!

PETA is SO full of SHIT! It's not just that NOT ONE WOULD EAT THAT, but they are constantly harping on the health hazards of milk. If you follow the link and and read the article it features the letter that their Vice-President sent Ben & Jerry's they talk about how milk has been linked to acne, obesity, anemia, yada, yada, yada. Too bad they forgot to mention that human milk has TWICE THE FAT and only ONE THIRD OF THE PROTEIN of cow's milk!!! Cow's milk is sigficantly healthier, and MUCH LESS YUCKY!!! PETA is always going too far. When you do shit like this people just can't take you seriously anymore… They are total extremists, and I'm pretty sure people are getting sick of it and of them.
Yuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's all I can say.

People should stop caring about stupid things like drinking, or not drinking milk, eating, or not eating meat. I mean come on, what you eat, drink, and wear, are your own decisions, and no animal rights group is going to change my mind! Don't get me wrong, I love animals too, but there are SO MANY more important things in todays world to worry about. So many other things to pour your time and energy into than ripping into celebrities for wearing fur, or publicly declaring it is not ok to drink milk.
Oh my Lord, PLEASE, PETA. It would be worse for the cows to NOT be milked. That causes the cows even MORE distress. Idiots.
For those who think it is crazy that we are the only species to not want to drink our own species milk, viruses are very easily transmitted within a species but not so easy between species.
it is one thing for a mom to nurse her baby, it is another to pool a human stock for mass consumption. They would have to be as careful as they are for blood donation. Pasteurization isn't as effective for viruses.
I find many of these comments to be quite hypocritical. It would be worse if the cows were not milked? Do you know why cows get milked? They are milked because they are kept inseminated all year around. Then their baby (the calf) is taken away from them and cannot drink it's mother's milk the way that nature intended it. The calf is tied in a small crate and cannot move. He is fed an iron deficient liquid. Dairy cows die of exhaustion within 4 years when a cow's life span is around 20 years. Cows would not need to be milked if it wasn't for us. Let's face it, milk and meat are not good for the body. Just like the human animal, the non human animal is sentient. It feels pain the same way you do due to their complex central nervous system. Knowing that milk and meat are not good for the body and that all the ”nutrients” in these substances can be found elsewhere while not caring for the suffering of others does not make a very compassionate person. You are calling PETA extremists? I think that meat eaters are pretty extreme accomplices to murder. By making this statement, PETA is obviously making fun of those who consume dairy. We are the only specie who drinks the milk of another specie. It is coming from a cow. That's right. You are drinking a liquid meant for calves. How normal is that?
I believe that consuming animal products is a personal choice. peta needs to stay out of this and go back to tree hugging.

OMG! Are you kidding me?? First of all it's hard for a lot of women to make enough breast milk for their own children let alone pump enough to feed ice cream lovers everywhere. WHAT KIND OF FUCKING NUTJOBS ARE PETA?? Seriously they are a little extreme. Especially being that you have to eat very, very healthy to make breastmilk healthy for other people. Certain foods give it a nasty taste.

It is cruel to keep the calf in the crate, but what the fuck, this is a way of life, of course you have to eat meat. You say eating meat is bad, and that you can find other food with the same nutrition in it, but its already been proved without meat, you get weak, and can die. Meats not good for the body, fucking bullshit.
If its greased up sure, u can pass it over, and not eat it. But would you really rather see a woman, aka a human, aka your species being milked that same way, would you want diseases? Cows would still be milked around the world.
PETa is in the extremes, meat eaters are not in the extremes because its only nature that the higher species eats the lower species, if it was murder, everyone would be fucked by now, and we eat meat so the animals dont over populate.
