Just how far will they go?
Yesterday we talked about the new Spider-Man musical.
Today, American Psycho is hoping to go from novel to screen to stage.
Producers are working on a musical about Bret Easton Ellis’ wealthy New York serial killer, Patrick Batemen.
It’ll be like a modern-day Sweeney Todd!
Neither a director, book writer nor songwriter have been attached to the project yet, but producers are aiming for a 2010 debut on Broadway.
The success of staged killers has traditionally been a little unpredictable, from the popular Sweeney Todd to the not-so-popular Carrie.
So is this idea a little, oh shall we say, psycho?
