It's On!
Filed under: Politik > Barack Obama > John McCain
Republican Presidential hopeful John McCain isn't ready to face his first presidential debate, set for this Friday in Mississippi.
As we mentioned earlier, McCain wants to "suspend" campaigning to go to Washington and "help negotiate a financial bailout bill, a dramatic move designed to seize a powerful issue."
But Barack Obama's side isn't having any of that!
A senior Obama campaign official has responded saying that Obama "intends to debate." Adding that, "The debate is on."
McCain is even going as far as calling on the Commission on Presidential Debates to postpone the debate scheduled for this week in order to "ensure quick congressional action."
In a statement released by McCain's camp, the potential future Pres says, “I have spoken to Senator Obama and informed him of my decision and have asked him to join me. I am calling on the president to convene a meeting with the leadership from both houses of Congress, including Senator Obama and myself. It is time for both parties to come together to solve this problem.”
When asked about McCain's plan to postpone the first debate because of the administration's bailout plan, chief debate negotiator, Democratic Rep. Rahm Emanuel, said that "we can handle both." Adding that progress is being made on Capitol Hill and that should not stop the debate from taking place.
Amen!!!!
An Obama campaign official added that Obama is willing to go to DC, "if it would be helpful," but stated that they still intend on debating this Friday as they see no need to postpone.
Mike DuHaime, McCain's campaign political director said McCain is "going to do what he thinks is right. He’ll make a vote as a leader in this country, and people will look to him."
DuHaime added:
“Quite frankly, I think you could ask Sen. Obama if he’s going to do what he thinks is right. I mean, he has never — I believe — never once made a decision that is an unpopular decision or went against the orthodoxy of his party, and was one that was a tough decision to make. . . . Sen. McCain has done that throughout his entire career, his entire life — not just in politics, but his life.
When you start talking about $10,000 per household or per family to go toward bailing out Wall Street, they have legitimate questions about it. People understand that that is a big thing and it affects them, and they do legitimately have questions about, is this really going to go to bail out companies or leaders of companies who now are relying on taxpayer dollars to bail them out, and are going to get these huge compensation packages after they come to the taxpayers for it.
There is some frustration, certainly, in that, and it’s understandable to say the least. And it has not been a quick rush to say yes or no. People understand the gravity of this, want to see it done right, while still understanding the timing factor.”
So what do U think?
Should the debate go on, or should McCain be allowed to go to DC and fight for what he believes in?

Thats just the most ridiculous thing ive ever heard. McCain is trying to do the right thing for the country and help to resolve this economic crisis and they wont postpone a debate?! The democrats are just power hungry to win - they dont give a flying you know what about whats going on, if they did they would let McCain address his responsibilities. Why isnt Barack concerned or trying to do the same thing?? Cause he has NO CLUE how to fix it - he knows hes a good speaker so he wants to speak Friday, not do the real work cause HE DOESN'T KNOW HOW!!!!
Why would anyone expect Obama to reschedule the debate? His reluctance to stray from the spotlight and return to DC is entirely consistent with the way in which he has conducted himself as a senator: campaigning relentlessly for the presidency, rather than showing up for his actual job and casting votes.
WOW! IT'S GONNA BE INTERESTING TO SEE
HOW MCSTAIN WEASELS OUT OF THIS ONE!!!!!
McCain is making this political. And of course the debates NEED to go on. we need to know what these guys are thinking and how they will handle the mess they are fighting for.

Re: acm0592 – First of all…. the senate is NOT majority democrat. There are 49 dems, 49 reps, 1 ind "dem"-lieberman and an independent james jeffords. please, learn something before you spew your ignorance. the house of reps (the 2nd house of congress) is barely majority dem. it still takes a majority of both houses to get something passed. with the repubs in the houses and a repub WH blocking any progress, it's been hard to get anything done. the dems have wanted some oversight and regulation. your guy, mccain, has been a huge proponent of deregulation…causing much of these problems.
THE DEBATE SHOULD GO ON!
Re: Kiarra –
In mid–1968, McCain's father was named commander of all U.S. forces in the Vietnam theater, and McCain was offered early release. The North Vietnamese made that offer because they wanted to appear merciful for propaganda purposes, and also wanted to show other POWs that elite prisoners like McCain were willing to be treated preferentially. If he was released it would look as though he got preferential treatment, which would look very bad for his father. I am not so sure that he could have come home even if he wanted to so perhaps the republicans need to stop using that as a talking point.
Both of these men were elected to be Senators. Going to Washington and helping solve America's financial crisis is their job. Unfortunately, Senator Obama has spent the past two years campaigning for the presidency. Even if he were to go to Washington, he would probably vote "present" or conveniently skip the vote to avoid it coming back to bite him in the ass. John McCain is doing his job and putting his country first. Dealing with this crisis is a serious issue that should be confronted before the two stand on stage bickering back and forth about who put lipstick on who's pig. Enough already. If anyone is using this as political leverage it's Obama. There is plenty of time to hold this debate after the American economy is steadied. If this situation were reversed, Obama would be lauded as a national hero who saved America from an economic meltdown.
Re: noneoftheabove – Re: amylala –
The Debate for this Friday is regarding US Foreign Policies…Both Obama and McCain should be in Washington to help negotiate the Wall Street bailout!
Perez, you are such a tool. McCain or any other debater is ready 2 days before a PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE..this isn't high school. That's not the point. Harry Reid (D) even stated they needed McCain in the process…where's your mention of that??? McCain is putting his motto "COUNTRY FIRST" into action, while Obama's "Change" is empty and should be "EGO FIRST" They will debate, there is no question, and this Friday's debate is primarily about foreign policy….they want to reschedule to St. Louis…Obama's backyard, for God's sake. How does that help McCain??? Mississippi is solid McCain, and a better environment for the debates, but STAY OUT OF THIS PEREZ unless you can possibly report both sides.
I've been looking forward to the debate forever. But nothing is as important as the financial crisis in our country right now, especially if congress has to make a decision before they break. I don't think people realize exactly how dire and uncertain things are on Wall Street and our financial institutions at the moment. Things are at a virtual standstill. If you don't think it affects you…think again. For those who don't think it's important for Obama or Mccain to be there to hammer out some sort of bail out or be present during the negotiations (with our interests in mind, hopefully)…I can't imagine who's presence is needed more than the man who's going to have to deal with it for the next 4 years. What does it matter if the debates will take place a week or so later? Whatever happens concerning the bailout is way more important right now.
sounds to me like Mccain is actually trying to do his senatorial job instead of prancing around like a celebrity…
Once again OBAMA trying to make a splash. This should show just how concerned he is with our country compared to getting what he wants. This shows McCain is a class act and Obama wants more attention. We're fucked if Obama is in. This should prove where McCains head is (the right place) and where the wanna be stars head is. Obama=attention whore.
OBAMA SUCKS GO MCCAIN!
Re: achiofox #98 – All this makes it appear the things Obama is comfortable with are words, speeches and debates, doesn't it?
Timing is a little too convenient! Funny, if it was such a "crisis", why didn't he call for suspension sooner? Running scared with his wrinkly tail between his legs. He can't debate and Palin has to hide from the media. I need a President with BRAINS that can also multi-task! McCain, that is NOT YOU! Please crawl into your den and hibernate forever. OBAMA '08
If McCain can't do 2 things at once I have little confidence in him. Hasn't he had to attend to his responsibilities this entire time? What's the difference?
McCain or any other debater is ready 2 days before a PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE..this isn't high school. That's not the point. Harry Reid (D) even stated they needed McCain in the process…where's your mention of that??? hhmm I wonder how americas greedy ass got to this point, over consumption maybe? Aww boo hoo people are struggling to pay off their lexus's and bebe dresses. That is why other countries hate us so much. Of course tax payers have to bail the rich people out. Republicans think they know it all and mccain needs to go to sleep at a senior citizens home.
o and the democratic previously offered advice before this big mess on wall street happened so now it's obamas priority to be at the bail out o puhlease!!
debate. how is mccain going to magically get the bill passed on friday? he's not. and neither is congress. so debate first, deal with that later. this "economic crisis" has been coming for years–and now a few days matter? riiiight.
JOHN MCcAIN IS DOING WHATS RIGHT IN THIS CRISIS BY BEING WHERE HE SHOULD BE AT THIS CRITICAL TIME TO BRING DEMOCRATS AND REPUBLICANS TOGETHER IN THE SENATE TO COME TO SOME TYPE OF AGREEMENT. MAYBE OBAMA DOESN'T QUITE UNDERSTAND THE ECONOMIC CRISIS WE ARE IN.
-
OBAMA IS STILL A MEMEBER OF THE SENATE AND LIKE ALWAYS HE DOES ABSOLUTELY NOTHING BUT VOTE "PRESENT" OR IN THIS CASE ISN'T EVEN GOING TO SHOW UP. HE'S NOT DOING 2 THINGS AT ONCE, HE'S GOING TO DEBATE WITH HIMSELF INSTEAD OF HELPING CONGRESS AND OUR SENATE SAVE OUR ECONOMY. OBAMA IS A JOKE AND COULD CARE LESS ABOUT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, HE CARES MORE ABOUT WINNING THIS ELECTION. MCCAIN HAS BEEN IN THE SENATE FOR 20YRS AND OBAMA 154 DAYS. BOTH ARE STILL MEMBERS OF THE SENATE AND BOTH SHOULD BE IN WASHINGTON TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM BEFORE ITS TOO LATE.
-
LET'S NOT ALSO FORGET THE NUMERIOUS TIMES JOHN MCCAIN CHALLANGED OBAMA TO DEBATES IN CITY HALLS TO WHICH OBAMA REFUSED TO DO THEM ALL….NOW IS THE ONLY TIME TO SOLVE THIS CRISIS AND GET THESE BILLS PASSED AND JOHN MCCAIN IS PUTTING HIS ENTIRE PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN ON HOLD TO HELP THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WHILE OBAMA BIN BIDEN AS USUAL ISN'T DO SHIT!
how long's the debate gonna take? mccain can't balance his schedule enough to devote a couple hours to talk to the country? he's going to have bigger problems than that on his plate if he becomes president.
sounds to me like the idea of having to debate against obama made mccain shit his depends and now he has to go get them changed in dc…
Re: && I got a thing for you! – CONGRATULATIONS! YOU GET IT, watch a little CNN, MSNBC FOX for an hour and you'll see how right you are.
Re: kittenrose – so basically you are saying a vote doesn't count? when 1 vote can make a difference. These two idiots need to be in DC and looking at the real problems we have. if Obami wants to make a CHANGE (like he says) then he needs to be there and see wut our issues are and the reality. MCCain can't run and just because he wants to be part of something that he is so passionate about let him be. This man has been in office for YEARS AND YEARS and has always acted on his passion for the people. I really don't like neither candidates cus i think they are both pathetic (i am sure their are better qualified candidates)…everyone is being driven by MTV and Celebrities influence… who the F&$% are they to know. half of them have dropped out of school and make a living on pretending to be something else or lying…. just a thought…
I think McCain is putting Country, not Politics, first. McCain has begged Obama for months to have Town Hall style debates and Obama refuses. Obama has been the one running from debates. McCain is showing true leadership by suspending his campaign and working on what truly needs addressed right now.
Re: amylala –
THERE ARE 40 DAYS TO DEBATE AND ONLY MAYBE A WEEK TO GET THIS ECONOMIC CRISIS SOLVED BEFORE THE ECONOMY CALLAPSES, I CALL THAT A PRETTY BIG CRISIS THAT NEEDS TO BE TAKEN CARE OF NOW! YOU CAN DEBATE TOMORROW, YOU CAN DEBATE AFTER CONGRESS PASSES THE BILLS NEEDED TO SOLVE THIS MESS, OR BETTER YET OBAMA COULD HAVE TAKEN MCCAIN UP ON HIS 10 OFFERS TO DEBATE IN TOWN HALLS ACROSS THE UNITED STATES WHICH HE OF COURSE REFUSED BECAUSE THEN HIS PEOPLE COULDN'T PREP HIM AND HE COULDN'T MEMORIZE EVERYTHING.
Someone is Scared…
Re: arrora – Couldnt say it better myself.
The prodigal son returns. John McCain has announced that America is finally confronting a crisis that he doesn't feel he can be absent for.
Some fun facts about John McCain: Of all Senators, John McCain has been the most absent. There have been 643 votes taken in the current Senate session: McCain has missed 412 of them.
McCain has not voted in the Senate since April 8th. Since March, he has missed 109 of the last 110 votes.
He missed votes on the GI Bill, energy policy, and in 2007 he missed "all 15 critical environmental votes in the Senate" — giving him a 2007 rating of 0% from the League of Conservation Voters. Zero percent? I don't think that's fair. I think they should have given him an "incomplete", and told him that he had to stay for summer session if he wants to graduate from the Senate.
So welcome back, John McCain. If I were the Senate Democrats, I would now completely rejigger the Senate schedule in order to put things up that America would really, really like to see John McCain cast a vote on. It seems the least we could do.
Vote Obama!
Vote NO on prop.8!!
"John is more than wrong — he is dangerously wrong. On a question so basic, so fundamental, so critical to our nation's security, we can't afford a commander in chief so divorced from reality and from America's most basic national interests,"
Joseph Biden
….
MCCAIN MORE OF THE SAME!
Re: Not Stacy –
OR MAYBE ITS MORE PATHETIC THAT IN THIS TIME OF CRISIS OBAMA ISN'T GOING TO TO HIS JOB WHICH IS STILL A SENATOR, HOW CAN HE DO HIS JOB AS A PRESIDENT IF HE CAN'T EVEN DO HIS JOB AS A SENATOR, WHICH HAS BEEN PROVEN TIME AND TIME AGAIN BY HIS VOTING RECORD OF 130 "PRESENT" VOTES OUT OF HIS MEASLY 154 DAYS IN THE SENATE. MCCAIN HAS BEEN A SENETOR FOR 20YRS AND ACTUALLY SHOWS UP TO GET THINGS DONE. THIS DEBATE JUST HAPPENS TO BE TAKING PLACE AT THE SAME TIME OF TRYING TO SOLVE ONE OF THE BIGGEST ECONOMIC CRISIS'S WE'VE EVER FACED IN MOST OF OUR LIFE TIMES, I'D SAY THATS A LOT MORE IMPORTANT!
This is just another of McCain's gimmick to gain points in thepolls! I think the American people are starting to see the true McCain for who is he is!
[re=2914368]Re: Alan
The McCain campaign is wussing out and using the economy as the smoke screen. He's missed a total of 109 out of 110 senate votes=GI, Energy Bill, etc== in the past year so why is this such a sudden dire need. I knew he'd put the spin on this crap and utilize his "leadership first" gibberish.
Re: rampage –
Obama does not want to vote on the bail out package..EASY OURe: rampage –
And Perez, he ain't fighten for what he believes in, he is running scared because he has NO ANSWERS!
McCain voted with Bush 95% of the time.
.
NO CHANGE MCCAIN!
TO ALL YOU WELL INFORMED VOTERS THAT ARE BLAMING THIS ON PALIN NOT BEING PREPARED…
.
SHE'S NOT IN FRIDAY'S DEBATE FOOLS!!!
THE DEBATE SHOULD AND MUST GO ON!!!
Re: noneoftheabove –
Believe or not, the president should be able to do both. They should be able to do the debate and work on the economy. It sounds like McCain is doing a political stunt and it sounds like you already made up your mind on who should be president. I doubt you ever considered to vote for Obama.
These two are US senators and should do their job. Obama has been campaigning to be president the whole time he has been in the senate. He has not been present for the majority of voting in DC. McCain has been debating and is much more knowledgeable about foreign policy than Obama. We are paying Obama to be a senator. If I decided to take a year off of work to run for public office I would not get paid. Why is he? Why are they? They both need to go to Washington and do their jobs.
If you can't multitask then you can't be president…no b.s. McCain.
Re: sweetpiece – Obama voted with Dems 97% of the time. That shows me he does not think for himself….can you say puppet?
Re: && I got a thing for you! –
In that case, then let the VP debate be moved to Friday. Would you prefer that?! Guess not, 'cos we all know that Sarah Palin isn't ready!!!
Re: grenade –
FYI..The M
Re: SmilesXo – It DOES count. That isn't what I was saying. I was saying that no matter what happens (what they vote for), there will not be any immediate reaction/solution. Things may be temporarily stabilized, PERHAPS, but this is going to take months (or, more appropriately, years) to fix. Their votes count; however, they also have a duty to us voters by telling us what they are going to do to keep whatever is passed/decided on for this situation. This debate is what they both need, regardless of anyone's voting persuasion. They need to multitask: vote on their choice, then come to us and tell us how/what/when/why they are going to further that choice and all of the other details. They can do both, and they should. No debate should be "canceled." That's unnecessary, when, as a president, multitasking is absolutely key.
I think that considering that we're in the middle of an event comparable to the Great Depression, it is appropriate to re-schedule the debate. These debates are very important as well as our economic crisis. If there is a way to give 100% to one of those and not split yourself 50/50, then you should. You owe it to America to give your undivided attention to each circumstance. I think Obama is using this as a ploy to weaken McCain because he clearly does not see how huge the financial crisis is. He needs to put the campaign bull aside to focus on something that is affecting EVERY SINGLE PERSON whether they realize it or not right now. Something needs to be done fast economically, we can wait another few days for the debates since the election isn't this Saturday.
Re: klp243 –
No actually McCain is acting like a five year old. You once again demonstrate how most republications cant be logical.
Re: mb00 –
hey mboob, you know i really try not to personally attack people on here, but people like you who say a soldier isn't a good one because he was a POW MAKE ME FUCKING SICK!!!WHAT THE FUCK HAVE YOU DONE FOR THIS COUNTRY BESIDES SUCKLE YOUR MOMMY TITS ALL YOUR LIFE. YOU NEED TO HAVE RESPECT FOR EVERY MAN AND WOMAN WHO HAVE FOUGHT FOR THIS COUNTRY WHETHER THEY ARE ALIVE, KILLED, OR WERE CAPTURED AS A POW. AT LEAST THEY DID SOMETHING FOR THIS COUNTRY OTHER THAN PLAY VIDEO GAMES ALL DAY AND TAKE FREE HANDOUTS.
-
YOU HAVE NO RESPECT FOR ANYONE WHO HAS FOUGHT FOR YOUR FREEDOMS AS AN AMERICAN, YOU'RE A DISRESPECTFUL, IGNORANT, PIECE OF VILE SHIT…
-
GO JOIN THE MILITARY AND MAYBE YOU'LL HAVE A NEW VIEW ON LIFE OR GO VISIT A FORIEGN COUNTRY SO YOU CAN COME BACK AND APRECIATE HOW GOOD YOU HAVE IT BECAUSE AMERICA WOULDN'T BE THE COUNTRY OF FREEDOM IT IS WITHOUT THE BRAVE SOLDIERS LIKE JOHN MCCAIN WHO HAVE FOUGHT FOR IDIOTS LIKE YOU TO BE FREE!!!

Obama doesn't to postpone the debate to go vote because he knows that he will lose votes when his blinded followers find out he votes 'present' when the vote is this important. I guess you guys who don't care about this vote don't pay taxes, and don't have any money to invest in anything…. pull your head out of your asses! This is important stuff!
Screw Wallstreet and their overpaid, pompous CEOs. The stockmarket isn't the backbone of the US economy, the middle class is and our tax dollars shouldn't shoulder those rich f*#kers problems. We don't need to double our natonal debt for them!
Re: Monfizzle – According to whom….?
Re: && I got a thing for you! –
After a small town in Miss. spent millions of dollars to have it there!!! Have you no sense, obviously you don't follow politics.
McCain is not afraid to debate Obama. Over the summer Obama refused to debate McCain! Also, the next debate is about Foreign Policy and everyone knows that is McCain's strong suit!
Obama is just mad because he has been at debate camp all week! LOL
McCain is DOING HIS JOB.
He has no reason to not want to face Barack. Barack is an empty suit who's changed his mind about everything he's ever "stood for." McCain will eat his lunch in any debate. I say, send Palin in his place! Shit, she could eat Obama's lunch. Hell, I could: he's not that bright.
I love that John McCain, like always, would rather do the right thing even if it means he loses an election — like going to solve this damn bailout crisis or winning a war in Iraq. Obama wants to win at any cost - even to the American people. Obama is no patriot, that's for sure. Fucking asshole.
John McCain & Sarah Palin are a serious threat to the universe.
I am surprised no attempts to take their lives has occured. They are 1000 times worse then George Bush and look where he has brought your Country. It's really scary, really scary. Please, Please, Please Vote for Obama or kiss your Country good bye. It's that bad.
I am a Canadian who can not believe that John & Sarah could be making decsions that effect the world, it is truly a frightening thought.
Re: WakeUpPeople – If Obama does nothing on this crisis-vote on this bill developing….America will see McCain for what he really is…the NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. That's the truth. Talk about dropping the ball…go on and keep hugging the babies Obama, nice leadership! McCain=COUNTRY FIRST…PROOF!

Well, here is the time. He's so freaking scared to make the vote b/c he KNOWS that it will affect the judgement people have on him. I praise McCain for his integrity and standing up for what he should be doing… I mean, come on, neither one of them are president yet! They have a REAL job right now and it is to be Senator. They are leaving their people with whom they currently represent w/out a representative.
Re: FAWNYWAN –
McCain wants to do whats right… what he's doing is FOR the people. YOUR economy… Obama is all about himself in wanting the debates…. McCain just wants to re-schedule… not pull out. jeez.

ummm, voting against the war doesn't count??
Perez, don't be a knucklehead. While on the surface it would seem McCain wants more time to prepare for the debates, what he actually wants to do…go to DC to help straighten this mess out…is exactly what the news announcers called on *both* candidates to do last week. It's their job…and more important than stumping! So McCain wins this round.
Re: tina236 – Actually I wouldn't care.. like I said until this moment I never leaned on one side more than the other..
Re: EastLansinglove – Yes, the money spent in a small town to host the debate is MUCH more important than the United States going through a SERIOUS issue.. YOU CAUGHT ME
YES! It should absolutely GO ON! Classic politics McBush. He wants to bow out now because the Republicans fucked up the economy and they're looking pretty bad.
Obama's gonna kick his butt! Biden's gonna kick Palin's butt. Her fifteen minutes are over.
OBAMA 08!
Typical republican chicken hawk
If McCain was going to do something about this “Economic Crisis” he should have done it a long time ago. They way I see it is he helped create this problem by voting along side Bush 90% of the time and seeking Deregulation for Corporations at every turn.
The truth is McCain and his camp are just freaking out because his rating in the polls have significantly dropped and now he's scrambling to appear like he gives a shit about the people in this Country. If he really cared it would show in his record and the only thing I see is he ain't shit.
As for this debate if Obama feels he can add his 2 cents to the "Bail Out Negotiation Process" and debate for a couple of hours I believe him. Everybody has time for a conversation in the day and if Obama wants to dedicate his personal time to a debate so can John McCain.
Let's get it on you silly Republicans it's time to offer your reasoning for the bad decisions you've made that caused this ugly mess. Your ideology is to blame…Shame on you!
Re: arrora –
HEY MCSTAIN JUST WANTS TO BE PRESENT SO HE'S SURE TO GET HIS SHARE!!! SINDY REFUSED TO RAISE HIS ALLOWANCE!
Re: arrora – at the same time people on here makes racist comments about obama calling him a "Nigga" and references about KFC. I don't see you venting about that. You racists are such hypocrites
Its so obvious McCain is just trying to stall the debate….Seriously, what can he possibly do to save the ailing economy???Nothing!!! the damage has already been done and no meeting with anyone is going to help. Him and his animal-killing bitch Sarah Palin need to face the music. I cant wait til that bitch get slaughtered by Joe Biden….
So let me get this straight, Clinton asked Dole to postpone the 1st debate b/c he addressed the UN the night before and needed more time to prepare. Dole politely agreed.
McCain requests a postponement so that he can help to do his job as a senator and help form a legislative bill to help get our country out of the 2nd worst econimic crisis since the Great Depression…and Obama say "NO". How in all of this is McCain the asshole? I still don't get it!
Re: sugarbee – He couldnt vote against the war because he had no vote. He wasnt even in the senate at the time of the vote. He probably would have voted present anyway.
Of course a comment like that is coming from a REPUBLIKKKAN. Then you wonder why the rest of the world does NOT respect Replublikkkan "presidents." You're ignorant. The little respect the world has for the U.S. is wilting away and only Obama can bring it back.
Smart Americans will vote for Obama.
Re: obama sucks –
Re: Urdesire #186 – And Obama has done nothing either, nor does he intend to now. He voted with his party 97% of the time. Don't forget about all those "present" votes. Everything is "wait until after the election" with him. Gonna be damn funny when loses, he'll have avoided making any decisions.
Re: Urdesire –
Don't you know that McCain is the ONE who warned that this was going to happen awhile back and neither party was listening… Funny how the majority of Congress is Demos… and aren't they the ones who REALLY make our decisions….they do have the right to veto the president!!!!
I think that the future president of the united states should be able to take of more than one thing at a time. mccain should still go to dc and then get to the debate and show he is a man that can handle multiple agendas.
you are such a %&***^ listen if ur gonna post things agains McCain then have the balls to post fair things why dont u stick to celebs its the only thing that u have a bit of a chance as doing and ps we dont give a shit about ur dog or u
I seriously hope McCain crushes fucking Obama at the debate.. 0.0 So done with this, there is no right or wrong, it all boils down to personal preference- I'm just hoping that if Obama is elected some crazy fucking KKK member who would rather kill himself than see a black man become president, doesn't assassinate his ass first week into term and we are left with Biden.. Something about Biden doesn't fare well with me, he doesn't even seem like he wants to be in the position he's in.. Everyone's so worried about McCain dying and Palin taking the reigns, what about when Obama gets shot because there are FAR FAR too many assholes out there who can't take it.. The more I pay attention the more I start to realize Obama is being made into far much more than he is and it's sick that everyone is buying into it..
The freedom movement may have spread to a select few of the American public but it sure as hell hasn't spread to the majority. The core issues that we should be concerned about; bigger gov't and more power to the gov't, more spending and a higher deficit that my children will have to inherit, a war with Russia and Iran, the violation of our civil liberties and the CONSTITUTION, are swiped aside for issues that shouldn't be on our top agenda: abortion (pro-life or pro-choice, gay rights, and rights for illegal immigrants, a health care plan that violates the constitution and a person's right to personal choice/responsibility. Because to me that seems to be where the major differences are. What we should care about is the fact the both of our supposed choices both represent all these things. Both of them blatantly intend to have tough military action on Iran, both of them will increase our taxes and our deficit for their bigger gov't programs (where do u think the $$$ comes from to pay for these programs), both of them have relations with manipulative and corrupt corporations i.e. Obama's connection with Fannie and Freddie and well the whole world knows where McCain's connections lay. This stuff could just go on. Instead, we are all on opposite ends of the political spectrum voting for two evils. One may be a little less evil then the other but they are still evils.
Do you really think that in the yrs to come you won't think "damn I believed another politician." Damn I was ready to fight for this politician and put my well-being and children's in his hands? We are still going to be in a war….a bigger war, we are still going to have a bigger deficit, and we are going to have less civil liberites, while our country is left to foreign countries to buy up. AHHHHHHHH why don't you get it? Where is everyone's critical thinking skills? Vote for Hitler or Vote for the Communist. But hey its just me, what do I know?

Thats because I'm not a racist and frankly I pass right through and ignore those types of posts. You don't know me, and I was born in Africa and my family is in Africa so I hope you aren't even remotely calling me a racist.

And frankly Obama's not black he is an Arab American born in Africa, he grew up practicing Islam, so anyone who tries to throw the race card out is just ignorant, I'm more interested in debating political issues, not playing the race card.
