Here's the Obama campaign's official statement about their candidate's performance:
"This was a clear victory for Barack Obama on John McCain's home turf. Senator McCain offered nothing but more of the same failed Bush policies, and Barack Obama made a forceful case for change in our economy and our foreign policy. While Senator McCain wants to keep giving huge tax cuts to corporations and said nothing about the challenges Americans are facing in their daily lives, Barack Obama will be a fierce advocate for tax cuts for the middle class, affordable health care, and a new energy economy that creates millions of jobs. While foreign policy was supposed to be John McCain's top issue, Barack Obama commanded that part of the debate with a clear call to responsibly end a misguided war in Iraq so that we can finish the fight against al Qaeda in Afghanistan. John McCain needed a game-changer tonight, and by any measure he didn't get it." Obama-Biden campaign manager David Plouffe.

Obama sure has gotten gray. He looks all worn out. If he does get elected after the first year I bet he will be completely gray because he cannot handle the job of President. He is having a tough time handing the job of Senator.

Polls and studies (including fox news) show Obama as the clear winner of the debate. Don't know what this people is trying to defend or say.
The highest point McCain got in the debate were only when he was talking about holding accountable his own damn party and the mistakes they have make. Funny.. when he talks about punishing his people he gets the higher votes? lol
And Obama got the highest vote when he said "Senator McCain you were wrong for this and that etc"
So everything is about punishing republicans, cause that got the higher votes. Well, I have an idea, let's punish them bad and let's all vote democrat this year and take control out of this party that obviously care more about their on wealth than the country and the american people.

Let me do some research for you. Back in the 2004 elections the left used McCain AGAINST Bush as a shill to attack him. McCain had a book out that bashed Bush's policies. And the left took full advantage of it. "Look! I prisoner of war, a republican, saying Bush is bad! he must be!" Biden even told Kerry he should as McCain to be his vice president.
Fast foward 4 years. No policy of McCain has changed. He still doesn't like Bush, and is against a lot of his policies. Yet some dishonest people want the country to think he's just like Bush. Because all they have done the past 8 years is run on the "He's not Bush!" trail (Both Kerry and Obama do it) and they can only do it if they paint McCain = Bush. Of course they have to totally re-write history to do it, but they've done it before with the Iraq war.

For those that care, the Taliban and Al Qaeda are two seperate Sunni Muslim terrorist groups and The Taliban NOW exists in Iraq B/C of the Iraq war. Again Obama is correct on this point. Obama did NOT say Al Qaeda he said TALIBAN. This is why it matters to understand the cultures and what we are addressing when discussing foregin policy.

I'm conflicted on the bailout. I like the agreement they have now better than the original Paulson plan. They got rid of the ACORN clause and a few other things. Regardless of how we feel about it, it's a done deal. Now that House Republicans have gotten their 2 cents in, all are now on board. Everyone has the cover they wanted and no fingers can be pointed at either party.

My best friend lives in North Carolina and she couldn't go to Virginia Beach because she couldn't find a gas station w/ gas either! I'm happy we don't have to deal with that. More importantly in regards to this bailout I'm happy both parties are onboard accepting responsability I mean at the end of the day NO ONE wants to breathe near that thing but our President says we NEED it and Congress doesn't want to take on angry constituents esp. if they don't agree w/ the bill to begin with. I still think Paulson needs to be removed….
