oh my god. she actually does sound like that. i thought tina fey was exagertating it…I was mistaken.
she danced around EVERY topic. literally EVERY topic that was given to her.
HONESTY. i would have NO problem with this woman if she was HONEST.
She has been way over coached! She acts like a child that has been verbally abused - too afraid to answer the question from her own mind for fear that daddy will yell or slap her.
Loosen up on those reins McCain - your plan is back firing!

Clearly she didn't want to name any news publications. What if she had named the WSJ or Drudge or The Weekly Standard? Had she done so, it would be a smear campaign tomorrow: "Palin gets her news from conservative sites!" She was smart not to name any, imo. The less ammunition she gives to liberal media, the better.
She isn't evil- she is HONEST. She isn't pulling crap, or making it up. Biden has said so many stupid things- his latest is talking about "being shot at in Iraq"- when pressed he said he was shaving in his hotel and an ordinance went off and he could hear it! frankly, Obama is a middle aged black man with a LOOOONG history of chain smoking and Biden sounds like he has Alzheimers- go look at his latest round of stupid stuff.
I can't stand this woman… it is a good thing she wasn't known up until a few weeks ago. I don't think I could stand watching her campaign for the last year. She just goes around the questions. Then she says in one of her responses that her view isn't part of the McCain/ Palin campaign before she gives her opinion. Isn't she half of that campaign. Another thing that really bothered me is how she was talking about her best friend CHOOSING to be Gay. I really wish Katie could talk to Sarah's friend now. I just can't wait for this to be over so she doesn't have to be interviewed anymore. I think Tina Fay does an amazing job portraying her on SNL. I think thats the only time I can stand that voice.

You must have watched a different interview than I did. She answered almost everything (except the news bit) honestly and unequivocally. I now know where she stands on homosexuality: she doesn't judge; how she stands on evolution: of COURSE it should be taught in schools but she sees God's hand on the world (like 90% of all Americans do); how she stands on abortion: personally she believes that life begins at conception and would counsel anyone to keep their baby under any circumstance, but also would NEVER want to see a woman prosecuted for choosing abortion.

The media were infactuated with Sarah Palin at first and because we didn't know anything about her I think for awhile it did help McCain, but now that we see how lost and unqualified she really is, even members of her own party consider her a mistake and the consequences are that McCain's going to definitely lose because no one would feel safe with this woman being a heartbeat away from the oval office.

Unlike many of you all, I think the interview was good, nothing spectacular, but Katie Couric sucks at life …. The fact is people’s opinions are bound to clash on the topics Katie brought up. The real question is Palin competent enough? I think she will make a great VP. Her comment about homosexuality being a choice was wack, but her intentions were not to offend. And, she obviously enjoys sex and making babies. I think she is refreshing.

I like the lady. I bet if she answered every answer with some eloquent answer you would ream her for sounding too rehearsed and robotic. Palin, like Obama, is not as experienced as McCain or Biden — and that hurts her (public opinion) when people are looking for solid, accountable answers about foreign policy and such. I like how she said that we shouldn't debate whether global warming is manmade or natural, but we should do something about it. Umm…What? May I ask what you base this on? Guns are illegal in Australia, in fact the government bought back guns off anyone who handed them in when the laws tightened. Our per capita gun death total does not even touch the sides of America. If someone ever gets shot, it's front page news - it's just not part of the culture. This fear mentality that seems to be very prevalent in the U.S just isn't true. I think it's the fear of the unknown that makes you feel that way.
I find it really perplexing! I ask any of you, in all seriousness - WHY do you think that you will all be unsafe without personal handguns? I just don't get it.
And just to add - this is a farming country. The farmers who need their guns still have them.. People with a hunting license still have their weapons.
Anyways I am tired of this clowning around from both candidates I am just going to vote for Ralph Nader. At least he believes in Solar power and that's one of my dreams. Just imagine how much money we would save on gas and electricity if we used more solar power. But they sure make those panels expensive. But anyways I was surprised I hadn't heard of him until I saw him in one of those late night shows because I guess he wasn't invited to the presidential debate. Just two parties. Not all the people who are running for example: Robert L. Barr, Jr., Cynthia Ann McKinney, Charles O. Baldwin, and Nader. Wouldn't it be nice if all of them are shown, at least we could make an informative decision instead of just the two candidates that we seem to see every day on TV. I sometimes wish a regular person would get elected and it would be the American way, not just the rich people or the candidates backed up by rich people. I want to see a smart average American person in office. Someone that can relate to us not the priviledged. So it means that if we don't have the means we can't become President. I just think that this is turning into a circus instead.
P.S. I was going to vote for Obama and my husband for McCain, but now I changed my mind, unless both candidates get their acts together I will vote for someone else. It doesn't matter that I consider myself a democrat and my husband a republican. I am just tired of not being able to make a real choice because only 2 candidates are mainly shown. I know people say that if you vote for someone else is a way for republicans to take away votes from the democratic party. But I think if we REALLY had a choice and heard what the other people have to say many of us would change our minds about the candidates and really make this so called "election" an election. With votes distributed throughout instead of the usual high percentage of votes for the two particular parties. But anyways I know many of you disagree but I had to look outside of my "democratic" status and I am seeking true democracy with things that pertain to my beliefs.
