Janet Cancels Yet Another Show

Something isn't right in the world of Janet Jackson.
The diva is canceling/postponing too many shows.
She must really really be "exhausted"!
First, Janet cancelled her show in Detroit this past weekend due to "production constraints."
Then, she cancelled her Montreal show on Monday shortly before it started because she "got suddenly ill during her sound check … and had to be rushed to the hospital just before showtime."
Then, her show in Boston, scheduled for today, was also cancelled. No explanation has been given thus far.
Now, Miz Jackson is cancelling another show from her Rock Witchu tour!
Jackson will no longer be performing in Philadelphia this Thursday, her reps have confirmed.
Sucks for all the ticketholders!
Her reps, though, say she will resume her tour on Saturday in Greensboro, NC.
Somehow we wouldn't be surprised if she cancelled that show as well!

If she is truly ill then I wish her well…..with that being said I absolutely hate when performers bail out un their fans because they are not please with their ticket sales. No One can deny that Janet Jackson will go down as legend in the industry but she is just not as popular as she was lets say maybe 5-10 years ago. Going on a tour after a couple of lackluster albums, overpriced production budget and expensive tickets is not a combination for success. They may hurt her ego, but maybe she should play smaller venues.
Wow imagine if she had a real job 365 days a year like us normal folks!! She is on stage less then 2 hours she does dance but, not enough to cancel shows for exhaustion! Please either she is pregnant or something!

Did anyone see Dancing with the stars? Jessica Simpson looks pregnant to me about 3 or 4 months, she is fuller all over and wears clothes like J Lo that hides the tummy! She also had shots that where far and just her face so people would not focus on the tummy area, just like J Lo when she was on last year.

I actually think all of her crash dieting over the years has probably affected her heart. It can also wear on your endocrine system (kidneys, thyroid, hypothalmus, pituitary, adrenal glands, etc) which can cause massive amounts of fatigue, bouts of weight gain, etc. I wish the best for her….I kind of don't think she is faking on this one.

It sounds like double standards to me if I was to compare the value of both their products on a artistic level Janet would win hands down.. Madonna is good at marketing herself and stealing others sounds and ideas i.e. Goldfrap that is the only reason she is sucessful there, it helps that she lives in England also. I use to like some of Madonnas music but after her latest effort Hard Candy is wack… Janet name is fading in Europe as she is not being promoted there at all and she has not toured there in over eleven years. If you was to do back to back of their videos from the beginning to now I would say Janet's videos would shine. Feedback was actually a stronger single than hard candy but it was not promoted in Europe at all… Seems like some foulplay is going on in the industry…

If Janet is as great as you all say she is, why always defend, why not let the music do the talking? Where is the proof in numbers and sales. I will say it is a testament to janet's fans though, that you will stand by a very obviously sinking ship. I just think that if people don't want to pay the 10 bucks for a record, why would they pay 50 to 100 plus to see the artist? Touring behind 3 unsuccessful albums makes no sense. Of coarse Madonna's tour is selling better, and even if it isn't in the states (which I suspect it is) because of the additional dates and football stadiums that she's playing in. It's definitely selling out overseas, because the album and her career is a worldwide hit.
continud: Dancing as much as janet or not, I've read she works out for 2 hours a day, and has been for quite sometime. As a runner, and myself not in my 20's anymore you train for these things. She wouldn't just go on tour without the proper training. I just feel being sick is a likely excuse and one that she has used before. It's very easy for a celeb to be rushed to the hospital… they do that all the time. I remember when she was to do SNL, she was sick then and canceled only for us later to find out the record company and her were fighting. anyway. When fans say madonna does yoga onstage. yes that's true, but yoga also opens you mind, balances you, clears your thoughts, and makes u feel and look great. I do believe yoga would probably come in handy for janet, not on stage but in her life- and equal less cancellations. anyway thanks for reading.

I never said that all people/artist of color are subjected to scrutiny and bigotry but the fact is that the majority of them are. Janet is a higly talented and accomplished artist who was thrown to the wolves after the superbowl. Up until that time, there wasn't shit you could say about Janet's carreer. People trash Janet and all of the Jacksons but yet nearly every popular artist out today copys them and steels from them. I don't deny that Madonna's accomplishments. She has always been marketed very well. Hell, you can still go to a music store today and buy the cd single to Like A Virgin, but I'm not going to allow Janet's achievements to be wiped away by a bunch of haters. And it is so funny how everytime someone speaks the truth about racism, it's called "pulling the race card" or "making excuses". Discipline is Janet's album which has the most songs that I don't like and yet it is still a far better album than Hard Candy. A persons chart postions and album sales is not a determination of their level of talent. Freakin' Miley Cyrus can have a platinum album in the U.S. I will say that Madonna is very intelligent, a great business woman, and very creative. I will even admit that I like a lot of her songs and her point of view on various subjects, But I don't think she is very talented. She has done a great job improvising and working with what she has-which is why she is very popular-she give a lot of people(mostly gay white men) hope that even they too can be a fabulous pop star-which is great. Say what you want about Janet's past albums, but when that woman hits the stage she is unstopable. And where are you getting your facts from that Janet's tour is not doing well in the U.S.? Please, please tell me since when did the Staples Center, Madisen Square Garden, and American Airlines Center become "small venues", since when did a album going platinum become a "failure", and since when is a person's tour grossing nearly a million dollars with one show, and selling out in some cities and nearly selling out in all other cities, become a failed tour due to poor ticket sales. Please answer those questions and then tell me who's spreading lies. I will apologies for speaking ill of Madonna because I actually do like her. I will agree and admit that even I had hoped that Janet would shy away from the sexual material in her music. I am a bigger fan of her music of substance like Control, Rhythm Nation, and The Velvet Rope, and even some songs on All For You and Damita Jo and 20 Y.O. (Truth, Song of A Gun, Better Days, Damito Jo, and Enjoy). But yes, I still support her and want to see her do well because she is a great artist and obviously this is way Janet chooses to express herself, so I got her back. And as far as JD being a troll, Janet is happy with him. This is the man that she has chosen to have in her life. Who are we to say he's not right for her. And I happen to like the music they've made together(Get It Out Me, Sho Me, and Rock With U).
And for all of you people saying that Janet hasn't had a hit in 7 years, Feedback, Rock With U, Call On Me, and All Night Don't Stop have all topped the R&B and Dance/Club play charts over the past 7 years.
