It Ain't Easy (Or Cheap!) Being A Queen

Yup.

We know what you’re wondering – well, who pays the Queen?

Taxpayers do of course!

70% of the Queen’s salary is spent on paying the staff. The rest is spent on entertaining.

Palace People deny that the Queenie is suffering any sort of financial woes, but does admit that – like for everyone else – things have been a little tight these days.

After all, the Queen hasn’t received a raise in 20 years.

But she may have to wait another 20 – two senior MPs who sit on the Public Accounts Committee are saying that the Queen can tough it out, and are calling for a public audit of the Royal Checkbook.

There must be some good stuff in there!
