John McCain said Tuesday that George W. Bush should spend $1 trillion of your tax money to buy up those 'bad' mortgages WITHOUT Congressional permission.
Yes. He's encouraging W. (of all people) to spend $1 trillion without permission folks!
He said it 3 times on Tuesday, apparently.

Blame the minoities is really heating up. The Repugs are making another totally false claim that it the bad loans made to poor folks that are causing this mess. Hog wash! Only about 5% of these toxic adjustable loans were made by Fannie and Freddie in low income areas. The vast majority of these toxic loans were done by crocked mortgage brokers, sold to investment banks who repackaged thses loans together into tranches, and then sold the tranches to "investors" in a "shadow" banking system outside of any regulation.
The default rate on low income traditional loans of 30 years is actually very low. Poor folk who can save a down payment know how to budget and make their payments. If you think about the racist argument it does NOT make sense.

$2.5 TRILLION DOLLARS HAS EVAPORATED FROM THEIR STOCKS, BONDS & MUTUAL FUNDS INVESTMENT PORTFOLIOS.

I keep trying to respond but the system hasn't let me. The legislation that was co-sponsered by McCain to put stricter regulations on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. The legislation was called the Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act of 2005. In 2003 Bush tried to have a government agency implimented that would regulate and supervise the financial activities of our housing-related government sponsored enterprises. He first expressed concern of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae in 2001. Bush has called for this reform 17 TIMES!!! I'm stating facts, look it up. Don't blame the bush administration or Reps, they've been trying to stop this. Congress should have taken care of this especially those on the finance committees like Dodd and Frank, who objected to McCain and Bush prior.

How can you be sure that Al-Qaeda and Osama are in Pakistan, there's no evidence to prove that, and if you think sadaam and his regime had nothing to do with the terrorists organizations you're only fooling yourself. It's true Pakistan hasn't always been too cooperative with the US, but that could change. Their new president just took office and his wife was killed by Al-Qaeda. If Pakistan jumps on board we'll be one step closer. He's also surrounded himself with those from Lehman Bros. Obama has surrounded his campaign with these men who had a hand in the downfall of some of the top companies on wall street. It's ridiculous that people refer to McCain's return to Washington as "grand-standing." Senate Majority Leader Democrat Harry Reid said that a compromise would not be possible without McCain's leadership, prior to McCain suspending his campaign. In response McCain came back to lend a hand. Once he returned Reid called it a political move. Reid couldn't put his partisanship on the back burner, instead he stabbed McCain in the back. Oh, and you also mention McCain's terrible performance at the debate, is that why Obama agreed with him 8 times, kept motioning to the moderator to move on, and kept interupting like a child? Give me a break.
The people who would vote for McCain at this point would also vote for Bush if he could have a 3rd term… if McCain were caught sodomizing a teenage boy, they'd still be on his bandwagon, because, in their reality, if its republican, then it's right.

A lot of this is due to the Democrats hand-outs to people who can't afford homes. The force banks into making shady loans to people who can't pay them back. The banks are also to blame for not having fixed interest rates. Get educated before you make so many stupid claims.
