As a Canadian I am not ashamed of this person. He is not representative of Canada or Canadians therefore he can handle his own shame. I live in Sudbury, it's a great place and no more homophobic than any other. It's unfortunate this nonsense had to come out of his mouth here, but it means nothing, just one asshole's opinion. And I don't think Canada's record on gay rights needs defending, it stands for itself.

Hey, he's running "independent" I don't expect much. A few years ago there was a loon running in my riding who was totally into the Hells Angels being "stigmatized" and how "immigrants" were the real problem. The amazing thing was, he got 300 votes! (Um, no, not mine.)
