Ummmm yeah… people voted for Bush who they thought was a normal Joe Six-pack American and eight years later we see how that worked out. No offense, but Presidents shouldn’t be just “average” and I am not looking for a President who can be my best pal or someone who I can down a beer with. I think that women should be insulted that McCain picked someone based solely on gender and not experience or knowledge of the world. I hope that after tonight’s debate people will see that the McCain/Palin ticket is bogus.

The republicans have been in office for 7 1/2 years. The first 6 years were fine.
A little over a year ago:
1)Consumer confidence sttod at 2 1/2 year high
2)Gas sold for $2.10
3)The unemplometn rate was only 4.5%
4) the Dow was at record high at 14,000+
5) Amercans were LIVING LARGE
BUT AMERICA WANTED CHANGE !!!!! So in 2006 they voted a Democratic Congress and yes we got CHANGE all right In the Past year:
1) Consumer Confidence has plummeted
2) Gas is now over $4.00 a gallon
3) Unemployement is up to 6.4%
4) Americans have seen their home equity drop by 12 TRILLION DOLLARS
5) 1% of American Homes are in forclosure
6) The Dow is Dropping by the day
Yes 2006 AMERICA VOTED FOR CHANGE AND WE SURE GOT IT!!!!!!
Remember the President has NO CONTROL over any of these issues, ONLY CONGRESS.
And what has congress done int he last two years??? NOTHING with a 6% approval rating. NOW Obama claims he is going to really give us change along with this deadbeat democratic congress. HOW MUCH MORE CHANGE CAN YOU TAKE????

Sounds as dumb as the people who voted for W because he was the type of guy you'd go out and have a beer with. That worked well for all us huh? I just read that she and her husband released their tax records. Last year they made 1.2 million dollars. Now that really is nothing when it comes to politians and how much they make or are worth. The point is don't pretend to be mr. average joe. Average Joe's don't make close to that or run a state.
Well folks, this did it for me. I was truly an independent. I prefer to cast my vote where it will count, and unfortunately in this political system that would be either for a Republican or a Democrat. Neither has impressed me, and honestly I saw both Obama and McCain as pretty much bringing the same mediocre things to their presidency, and so was hoping there was *something* that would help me make the decision.

By "normal Joe" does she mean stupid? I'm sorry but I want an educated person in the white house. I want someone who can answer a question with an intelligent response. It's nice to know that dumb people can succeed in life but I think being the President or Vice President is taking it way too far.
Every time I watch her answer a question it feels like I am watching a beauty pageant contestant who has gotten to the final round. She is no way smart enough to be in politics.
