it's far more likely that she didn't want to walk into a trap of offending any one voter block, by naming a ruling she disagreed with. Palin ended up reducing her answers to slightly incoherent drivel, hoping she had used enough words that she wouldn't get follow up questions. Unfortunately for her, none of what she said ACTUALLY answered the question. *sigh* I'm starting to get disheartened by this. People are still supporting this crazy ticket, and I don't understand on what basis (other than I think she's nice) they are making their vote. This woman does not have the intellectual depth to handle to wide reaching scope of this position. She gets flummoxed the minute things get tough. As a citizen of the 'larger western civilisation', I am just petrified of this woman making decisions that would affect my country, not just yours. And I think it speaks to the larger problem in U.S politics that people split themselves down the partisan line without making informed decisions - that's why you rarely hear an intelligent reason for Palin being on the ticket - there isn't one, but the words burn in the mouths of those on the right, and they can't back down on the horrible decision. I mean, I can name important legislature - AND I DON'T LIVE IN AMERICA!! I mean, come on…
I also have to say, I find the political negativity (not just on this site, just in general) between party supporters really freaking weird. This sort of nasty, personal stuff over someone's political views just does NOT happen in Australia. We have very different parties, similarly ideological to the Dems/Reps, but no one asks you your allegiance - in fact , that would be a litte offensive, because it's private. I don't get it! Maybe it has something to do with the fact that every citizen MUST vote. Because everyone is involved, it becomes less of a 'hot button' issue. What do you guys think?

I thought palin handled the first part of that interview well, I was ready to give her complete props, but then she fell apart at the end when she couldn't think of an example and stuttered and stumbled. That said, they are both too scared to speak out on an issue without just handing responsibility back to the states.
