  5. 5

  6. 6

    Oh dear, not good!

  7. 7

If people can't afford to pay their utility bills, they damn sure should stay off eBay buying needless shit.

  8. 8

    WTF!

  9. 9

1600 jobs to be exact… yet according to eBay's CEO, it has "nothing to do with the weak economy." YEAH RIGHT!

  10. 10

    WOW!

  11. 11

E Bay sucks, I feel bad for the people getting fired but not for the company.

As an Ebayer seller, (et-caetera) they have pissed us off! If you aren't a big powerseller or offer free shipping they drop your listings to the bottom of the page. AND, a seller can no longer leave negative or neutral feedback for rotten buyers so they can do what they want, like get your item and try to extort money back to leave you (the seller) positive feedback. It totally sucks!

  13. 13

Sad for the people getting the boot!

Hopefully Ebay will tank and a better online auction site will take its place. Ebay screwed enough sellers with its feedback and fee changes that its biting off its nose to spite itself. I feel bad for the employees but Ebay needs to realize its not Amazon, it never will be, so stop trying. It used to be great before they decided to get too big for their britches and push out all the small time sellers. What they really needed to do was reassign 1600 employees to weed out of all the rip-offs, cons, and counterfeit sellers.

Re: Melissa is always right – If people can't afford to pay their utility bills, they damn sure should stay off eBay buying needless shit.

HOW is your #7 comment relevant?!? These people are NOT getting laid off because they can't pay their utility bills, MORON.

Re: abeericia – Go ahead and laugh. History has proven that the US HAS 'bounced back' from adversity in the past….and, we WILL do so again.
All of you, laughing and belittling the US, in these trying times, is doing nothing more than creating more ambivalence, hatred and racism, between the Nations. Personally, from what I have read, thus far, I will NEVER AGAIN do anything to aid any other Nation or culture…no matter how dire the need. Simply because of how the US is treated. Go ahead…fix your own problems.

hahahaha, I'm glad I don't work for eBay anymore, but a lot of my friends still do, so hopefully they can keep their jobs.

    Re: Anonymous

I don't agree with your reaction, but I do agree with your sentiments. The US economy has an impact on most Major European countries and vice versa. I'm Irish and Ebay have their Headquarters in Dublin, along with many US companies, so this is bad news for us as well. Well, it doesn't affect me as I work for a French Company, but you know what I mean.

Oops, that was to Anonymous comment number 19

the CEO of EBAY is one of the best CEO's ever. A lot of companies cannot afford the overhead anymore. Trust me, I work for one of the largest banks, one that is in dispute with Wachovia and they have done the same thing. It's everywhere, and there will be more casualties
