I liked it. It portrayed her very well. Becuase, let's face it, if her song "I Kissed A Girl" wasn't about being a lesbian she wouldn't be popular. She's not exactly the best singer out there. Her voice is mediocre, nothing special.

It's funny because the only reason this girl is famous is because of that one, horrible song. Her voice is even worse than Britney Spears' pre-over produced voice.

For the first time in years, I'm consistently laughing at SNL. Yes, it has it's lame moments, but overall, it's turned around. I did laugh at this when it was on, but I thought maybe they could have parodied a few other songs … of course … reading the comments below … er above, by the time this is posted … that really, this is the only song I hear from her. Maybe I'm just not listening hard enough, but she does seem to be cashing in on this one song. I like the song … how it sounds … but, really, like so many others, she is cashing in on the "scandal" of a lesbian encounter. It might be something if the song actually became something more positive, or an unapologetic love song, but it's just a "game." Plus, I could see the record label putting out an album like this, lol, to try and get as many people buying Perry's music. It's reminiscent of the Mini Pops, lol. Kids always listen to pop stuff but for families concerned about the lyrics, they have the Mini Pops, like when Spice Girls were first such a hit, "if you wanna be my lover" became "if you wanna be my brother"! lol

I didn't think it was horrible! The idea's really funny, but I don't think I like the new girl on SNL. I'm trying to give her the benefit of the doubt thinking maybe she'd be amazing like Poehler or Kristin Wiig, but she's not doing anything for me. And I hate how her voice trembles.

It's not funny, but it makes a good point. The skit's message is that there has been a lot of fuss made over the popularity of "I Kissed A Girl" when it really isn't that sexual of a song in the first place.

You know….. I think it's a great idea to do a skit on Katy! However, that was one of the lamest…. boring… terrible skits I have ever seen them do. I think it had a lot to do with the chick playing Katy, she was god awful. Didn't work, major thumbs down.

Frankly, I thought most of SNL sucked this past Saturday. Those writers need to be replaced. The Tina Fey/ Queen Latifa skit at the beginning was okay to good. However, I believe they could have done a better job with that particular skit. Not sure if I'll watch it next week. What a disappointment.
