There is no way Obama will win. If he wins America will eventually belong to Iraq. So what if Obama is cool and collected. Will that win us the war? Will that stop us from being killed? No! Candidates for the presidency don't just appear one day on the television, as if they suddenly decided to wander into a television studio, and yet you can get the impression from the way they are presented by the media that that is so. This is intentionally done. The candidates that finally emerge are really the product of careful choice and long consideration by the power brokers who actually control the national parties, and even more so by the financial forces who actually control the national government. The people themselves aren't much considered in these transactions, and that is why it's the duty of the people to find out for themselves what's going on. To have an opinion based on a television image, crafted for the moment by debating coaches and make-up artists is to become a voter-at-risk. The only way to know which way to vote is to seek out and find the powerful entities that have put the candidates in the spotlight, and then discover the history and intentions of these strategists. There lies the truth, and there is the course the nation will have to follow. The people who formed this nation 250 years ago knew all these things perfectly well, and it was no different then, and they provided a constitution that allows people to make an informed choice. But the people have to do the self-informing, carefully avoiding pre-packaged virtual opinions, otherwise money, power and elitism simply rule, as usual.

Obama won the debate and the polls and November 4th election results will show that. McCain used stale replies and even copied verbatim Obama's answers frequently. My Friends, McCain, ya know THAT ONE, simply isn't the one to lead this country or anything else. We have a presumed age of retirement for a reason. Some of you should remind McCain of this because he seems so lost out there. I hate to say it, but yes, he did look old, pained and stiff most of last night. Barney Frank and Chris Dodd. People have had time to think about it and they realize who the real culprits are. Yes, John McCain is gaining again. Obama clearly won last night and He was calm, cool, and collected the entire time. I found it a lil funny that while Obama was speaking, McCain was like wondering around in the background, looking a bit lost. I was lil pissed with McCain…Everytime he got to rebutt, he was puttin words in Obamas mouth. The last point I want to make is, and this may be lil peculiar but i watched all the way to the end, when the wives came out, did anyone else notice the difference between them..Michelle is out there meeting and greeting, shaking hands, posing for pics, whats cindy doing? following McCrazy around, smiling. Im sorry and It may be just me, but the first lady should compliment the president, get out there with him and help out.

i thought i was the only one that noticed that too… everyone was cuttin down Palin for not answering questions but Obama did alot of the same last night if not worse…and when he didn't get his followup that he wanted he would bring it up when the next question was asked (especially about the tax cuts issue…he just kept going back to that)

FACT CHECK: mccain has held over 20 fundraisers in the past 9 years netting 12.3 million dollars for fannie mae and freddie mac. mccains campaign manager, rick davis, was president of an advocacy group that defended fannie and freddie against regulation…so if you WERE to try and put the blame on someone, i'd say it rests solely on the shoulders of the mccain campaign manager.

It was interesting to watch from my side, since I don't have to actually vote. I think both sides made good points. Its so much more fun to see how celebrities are reacting to it. One or two of the A-list ones express their support for Obama, and suddenly you have all this other B, C, D, Z list and wannabes like Audrey O'bay expressing their support for him. All of the sudden Obama's political importance is lost and it becomes some sort of fad. Lets face it people like Audrey O'bay don't care about presidential debates, and even if she actually left a side her busy schedule of being a 'celebrity' and slutting around to watch the debate, she's too stupid and shallow to even know what they were talking about.

Obama did great last night. McCain supporters are suddenly not as vocal on this thread because they see that their candidate is slipping. He clearly wasn't the winner of last night's debate. Every major pundit is saying the same thing.

It was a good debate. Obama was very calm, McCain, kinda nervous (or maybe is the way he talks). Now, if something bad happen to Obama (God Bless), Palin is to blame because she is inciting to violence bycalling Obama terrorist. How dare??? I do not consider myself a firm Democrat or Republican, I try to vote for the best canidate based on my views. I had never heard either one of them speak before last night but John McCain is a douchebag. Every time Obama spoke first, he would copy part of his wording or how he said things and he was sucking up to Tom Brokaw so bad that it was obvious he would be more of a kiss ass than a leader. Honestly, he shakes a little bit also which makes me think that he probably won't make it the full 4 years, poor old fossil. I am from Illinois so I think it's cool that we have a possible president from Illinois and although I think both of them can be crooked at times, Obama didn't seem to try and pull McCain down as much as McCain tried to. I will be extremely surprised if McCain gets it but as long as that fucking Bush is out of there, I don't care! Um, no you definitely have it mixed up. First of all, McCain is the one who doesn't know how to answer a direct question. For example when asked which of the three are the most important? (health care, energy, etc..) he said 'Uh, well, they are all important'. Really? No shit! The question was which one is the most important and in what order! Obama on the the other hand directed said. #1 that energy is the most important because our economy is dependent on oil. and then he continued to ANSWER the rest of the question. I know how I am voting anyway but the pivotal moment for me was when McCain referred to Obama as "that one" That summed it all up for me. I watched the debate with an open mind as I am still undecided as to whom I am going to vote for. If McCain is such a hero and claims "he knows how to get Osama Bin Laden" then why doesn't he go and "get" Osama before the election to give himself some credibility.

In case none of you morons have figured it out yet, all those Polls you hear about are taken from about 400 people and out of those 400 people there are 20% MORE democrats voting than republicans. wanna know why? because the media is liberal and they want their polls to be liberal so all you brainless people that don't do your own research will vote liberal. do your own research because all the media is going to do is fill your ears with one side; the left side, which is the wrong side. if you have someone do all your research for you, you're letting someone else tell you what they wanna tell you and letting them lie to you at the same time.
McCain needs to pretty much win EVERY single toss-up state in the country PLUS some blue states to win the election. In the last week or so, both Minnesota and Wisconsin went from being toss-up states to "leaning Obama" states. It's only a matter of time before more independents start leaning in favor of Obama. Unless McCain can pull a rabbit out of his ass, this election is over…
