I was at the game, and she was DEFINITELY booed loudly… The big screen also asked that we "Show the class of Philadelphia and welcome Palin," HA!!. I actually emailed the Flyers when I found they invited her to be there and told them to leave politics out of sports, and they responded saying it wasn't a "political" move, but that's a lie because the owner is a crazy Republican. whatev, I'm PROUD philly booed her! First of all, I didn't even hear that many boos, but I did hear some. It just goes to show that Democrats have no class. Regardless of whether they like Palin or not, Democrats should realize that this is a sporting event and she took the time to come AND not to mention the fact that she is running for the VP of the USA, the country in which mostly everyone at that game lives, so they should respect the person who could possibly be the second most important person in the USA! This goes along with people respecting Bush - even if you don't like him, you still respect him because he's the president of the USA. Have some respect, Democrats and no one cares about your opinions so stop feeling the need to share them EVERYWHERE!!!

So I was at this game, and honestly, I didn't hear ANY cheering. I was up in the 200 level. And even the NY fans were booing here. There were people holding up "OBAMA/BIDEN" signs, there were people holding up signs saying "Hockey Moms for Obama". And FYI, Philly is HIGHLY democratic, it was just the flyers management that wanted her there. Her fault for stepping foot into a stadium full of people from a democratic city, and who's fans are KNOWN to be ruthless and unkind.
Even the people I knew sitting in the suites said she was booed. Regardless we all agreed that they blasted the music to drown out the sound, and the only time I thought I heard chearing was when she left. Most of the videos on youtube show people giving her the finger or thumbs down.

See, there are only a couple of problems with what sentence. Our pledge was writen in 1892 by Frances Bellamy. There was no mention of God in that. It wasn't until the 1950's when after a campaign by the Knights of Columbus that the words "under God" were formally added. Before then, there was no mention of God in it.
Our currency, well that one does date back a ways, I remember it was on coins in 1861. I believe because of the religious movement during the civil war. Time went by and there were some people who opposed having that on money. Theodore Roosevelt thought it came close to sacrilege. Anyhow, it was not "official" really until 1957 when our paper money was being printed with those words. Look all that up yourself, I'm not making any of this up.
As far as you telling someone to take their devil worshipping ass else where.. Well, you have as much right to tell them that as they have a right to tell you who to worship. That is the beauty of our country. We are free to worship what and whom we will.

I understand your view points as I majored in womens studies and am pro choice, however this isn't time to be playing around voting for a man who can't even make a decision in the senate. Our National Security is too important and while Palin may not have our same beliefs, she is still a strong, smart women who does uphold many femenist qualities. Not all feminists have the same beliefs. I personally feel if you don't believe in abortion good for you don't have one, but don't take that right away from others and I personally don't think her or Mccain will. I Respect her for taking responsibilty and anyone who chooses to have a child over aborting one because it must be a very difficult choice to make.
