Ok, Morocco but you don't say much a/b your lineage. Most North Africans I know ( from Ethiopia, Eritrea, Habesha people mostly), break down their lineage as black w/ some Arab or that they are Black Jews or in rare instances Afrikaan. The reason I am asking is because you say you have a lot of black friends so that implies you have no black ancestry however you leave it as a toss up if you are Afrikaan or Arab. I wouldn't consider myself black, we consider ourselves North Africans, Arab Decent, but as you know there are different extremeties of Arabs and The main reason we use Arab is because we are NOT Middle Eastern as many people assume Arab now equates to being from the Middle east. Moroccans are also influenced by French and Spanish decent(hence our light skin color) and most speak English, Spanish, French, and several dialects of Arabic, as opposed to say Egyptians or Ethiopians. It is also another common misconception that all Arabs are Muslim, many are in fact Christians including myself.

In my opinion Assuming Obama is Black is a common misconception, he was raised Mulsim and eventually converted to Christianity in America. You can convert your religion, but it doesn't change that you are of Arab decent. I hate to say this and state the obvious which I know I will get bashed for, but his name is Barack Huessein Obama, that is a Full Arab name. I'm not calling the man a terrorist, but he is half Arab.

Ok, I was with you until you stated what you have on Obama. Kenya is whole nother kettle of fish in regards to names and culture. Just as you state distinct differences that Makeup Morocco the same can be said of Kenya. Barack's father is a black African that was of Muslim faith, Barack was raised by his ATHIEST mother and his schooling in Indonesia was contingent upon where they lived in proximity to the best school so NO he was NOT raised Muslim considering his white Kansas Christian Grandma raised him. As for your arguments of Charlize Theron You are right SHE is NOT African but AFRIKAAN. In other words non indigenious white implant. But ALL black Africans call themselves African only those of diluted, very mixed or plain white "blood"consider themselves as "other" as they should. we'll just have to agree to disagree, while I agree he was primarily raised by his Mother and grandma, he was during his young childhood brought up to be Muslim and he's also had several slipups that lead me to believe he still holds on to many of his Mulsim ties as it is embedded in his cultural upbringings. Example, Obama saying he's visited all 57 states, or slipping up and saying "my mulsim faith"..these are things I read into just as I'm sure there are things Mccain has said that you have read into to make your opinions of him. If you want to go into details, Islamic religioun passes from the fathers Side and while he was in his Catholic school he even enrolled himself as a Muslim. He was brought up and spent his early childhood as a Muslim and I believe he still has connections to his Muslim upbringings which is not just a religion but a culture within itself. You may not want to believe that because of your support for Obama, but his past has been dug up and he will do all he can do deny his Muslim roots for Obvious reasons.

In his own biography "Dreams of my Father" he even writes how he used to get into trouble for making faces during Koranic studies, thereby revealing he was a Muslim, and he took these classes in Indonesia where he lived before he came to the United States, lets not forget that! He did not just move to the the US immediately. This is also something He Has Admitted! He can also still recite the opening lines of the Arabic Call to Prayer which was even revealed in the NY Times…so hopefully those are enough facts to go off of, try reading his own books. Frankly if the Muslim community hasn't disowned Obama maybe thats a little signal you should look into, it's even more amusing how most Muslim and Terrorist countries actually support Obama and in fact have donated illegally to his campaign. But, if you read his books, and look at his family tree, it's not just his father but most of his brothers and uncles also have Muslim names.
