Seems like consistency is not really Sexy Sarah's forte.
The Associated Press is reporting that the Republican Veep candidate has a sordid history of cafeteria ethics.
To make a long rap sheet short, while Palin's criticized other politicians for shady business, some good house cleaning has revealed a few skeletons in her own closet.
She's taken trips on the city's tab, utilized office resources to fundraise, accepted money without disclosing it, and in an upsetting abuse of power, pressured the state public safety commissioner to fire her sister's state trooper ex-husband.
The ex-husband was never fired, but the commissioner was.
Democratic state Representative Beth Kerttula admitted that she's frightened of Palin because "It's all about the power" and "She doesn't seem to know where the boundaries are."
There might be a bully behind that precious winking smile.
Ciritics have to agree that Palin has actually done a little ethical straightening up in office, by tightening up state ethics laws, providing more information to taxpayers about state spending, restrictions on lobbyists' giving, increased disclosure requirements for public officials, and posting state spending details on the Internet.
And while we're not saying that other politicians are clean as a whistle (Because hey, this is politics), we're suspicious of Sexy Sarah's reluctance to own up to some of her indisceretions.
-Although she's criticized other politicians for giving companies too much government control, she appointed the founder of an engineering firm to head of transportation
-She's helped friends and contributors land state jobs
-She's accused of misusing office resources to campaign against a voter referendum for tighter mining regulations, while her husband Todd, accepted a free trip from a mining company to view new site proposals
Democratic state Representative Mike Doogan said her flighty ethics are "insulting to those of us who have always done the right thing."
It's insulting to the rest of us too!
What, does she think we're so dumb we wouldn't notice?

I studied hard to achieve whatever I have achieved and that does not make me an evil person. But I don't believe you can buy emotions or hurting others on my benefit. Like I couldn't sleep at night by doing so. I do believe that when I turn my back and say it's not my problem deal with it I am doing something wrong. It's just so different from the way I have been raised. These people are peculiar, they are sneaky and in order to get conservative support they portrait something they are far away to be. I was really young by then, and remember the whole trip was just a situation were that person wanted to show me off as his pattern but just cause he needed, not because he loved me or something alike. I saw the same pattern in many other fucked up relationships of the people around this peculiar person. Of course you will see the opportunistic who would make heaven out of a relationship like this but not my case, not my style, not my beliefs. And I state again, those people (in the majority) have big self hatred issues and are not good people. If you consider that smart, then for my own good I rather to be very very very dumb.

The money largely flowed from the coffers of Mr. Biden's failed presidential campaign during the past two years to a company that employs his sister and longtime campaign manager, Valerie Biden Owens, according to campaign disclosure filings.
The senator from Delaware also directed campaign legal work to a Washington lobbying and law firm founded by his son R. Hunter Biden, the disclosures show.

Barack Obama helped secure a $25,000 grant for the Blue Gargoyle in August 2000, an organization that was headed by Capers C. Funnye, Jr., Michelle Obama’s first cousin once removed.
In July, 2000, Obama helped secure a $100,000 grant for the Community of St. Sabina, a church headed by Father Michael Pfleger, a controversial and radical Catholic priest and Obama campaign contributor. Pfleger made news in March, 2008, for mocking then-presidential candidate Hillary Clinton from the pulpit of Trinity United Church of Christ, formerly run by Obama’s personal pastor the Reverend Jeremiah Wright.
Run by Yesse Yehudah, Barack Obama gave a $75,000 grant to the organization in 2000. Although Yehudah ran against Obama in a 1998 election, five people from FORUM donated $1000 to Obama’s campaign after receiving the grant. FORUM also contributed another $5,000 to help pay Obama’s debt after failing to be elected to congress in 2000. In 2002, the State sued Yehudah for failure to account for hundreds of thousands of dollars he received from Obama’s grant.

Rod R. Blagojevich of Illinois.
The Obama campaign has shattered all fund-raising records, raking in $458 million so far, with about half the bounty coming from donors who contribute $200 or less. what does that mean…it means he doesn't have to disclose who it came from…..and only has to return it if it is investigated…. Consider the cases of Obama donors "Doodad Pro" of Nunda, N.Y., who gave $17,130, and "Good Will" of Austin, Texas, who gave more than $11,000—both in excess of the $2,300-per-person federal limit. In two recent letters to the Obama campaign, Federal Election Commission auditors flagged those (and other) donors and informed the campaign that the sums had to be returned. Neither name had ever been publicly reported because both individuals made online donations in $10 and $25 increments.
