With everything going on in the world who cares if gays get married. People use the Bible way to much on this issue……. We should all be miserable. This is a civil right.

People are born gay, hating gay people is like hating someone for being born a certain color or height, that is just how God wanted them to be and he loves them. God loves everyone and Jesus preached acceptance not hatred. It is God's place to judge, not your's. Maybe we've been reading a different bible, but the God I know is loving not hateful.

I loved that! Honestly, how can you TEACH anyone to be gay?? You can't! You are either gay or you aren't (and I'm not talking about the girls who act bi to get guys to like them!). What is the problem with teaching kids to respect and accept gays and children with gay parents?? Absolutely nothing! Did somebody on Fox News start calling Obama "Robin Hood" yesterday? Because since last night, after the debate, I am seeing "Obama thinks he's Robin Hood" and "Obama has a Robin Hood ideology" all over the AOL message boards and here too. It's not robbing from the rich if they are expected to pay taxes proportionate to what they earn. Everybody else pays their taxes like that, so why should only the rich get tax breaks?? Anyway, back to the issue…I'm voting NO on 8 and I think those commercials with their typical right-wing fear tactics are ridiculous!

I dont remember anything about marriage in general ever being taught in school. The closest thing to it was in high school when I took a child development class. But it was about relationships and i was in high school!!Whoever believes they will actually be teaching children about gay marriage are very naive and gullible and should not be voting if they are ill-informed.

One of the most common arguments against gay marriage is that: we might as well allow people to marry relatives, polygamy, marrying animals, or an adult to marry someone who is underage. There are laws against these things, there's an age of consent and the others are also illegal. Marriage provides stability and encourages monogamy. Even though I live in Georgia, to those in California, please vote NO on Prop 8.
