I like your points, but I'll be honest, I will likely NEVER vote for anyone endorsed by the Hollywood majority. I can't stand how celebrities have so much clout in the political process!!! They aren't heroes, they pretend to be heroes, and yet we idolize them. We don't care about the real mathematicians, scientists, investigators. But put their role on a screen acted out by someone semi-famous, and it's a guaranteed ticket to fame and money for the actor. I see this as a major failing in society- with regard to the majority, we care about our celebrities more than the people who educate our children- we care more about supporting athletes than we do about doctors…why in the hell would anyone want to be anything other than a star?
In the end, how can a celebrity with millions of dollars and 7 houses (sounds a bit like McCain, no?) know what it's like to be a peon scraping by on minimum wage while trying to educate largely disinterested college kids? Celebrities are so displaced from "the real world," I'd really prefer they shut up when it comes to election time, and start working on their next film. Sadly, these days, everyone will pay for that 2 hours of escapism.
So far, I'm no vote in November.
Amy's rap was funny shit. Tina again was spot on. Palin is not getting my vote, but I gotta give her props for going on SNL and making fun at herself, at least she has a sense of humor.

Who gives a crap that Colin Powell is endorsing Obama. Everyone lost respect for him years ago so the DEMOCRATS SAY ALL THE TIME SO THIS WON'T BE A VOTE FACTOR. I think the skit was funny; I don't think it hurt or helped Palin in anyway. She is known for exactly what she's known for-which is not knowing much! Colin Powell just announced this morning his endorsement for Barack Obama, so at this point it doesn't really matter what McCain/Palin do- they are going to lose this election by a long shot. So atleast Palin can go back home to her small town of Wasilla and say "HEY GUYS! I WAS ON THE ACTUAL SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE!!!!"

People are certainly entitled to their beliefs and opinions without facing ridicule, which is one of the principles this nation was founded on. For teh first time, I felt sympathy for Palin. Almost all of her policies are backwards and dim-witted; her abuses of power are deplorable; her agressive promotion of brutality toward animals is despicable; her absolute weeping, moronic ignorance about ANWAR's true, enduring value is incredible; her condescension and peresidency is genuinely frightening… but I felt genuinely sorry for her while watching those clips. She dealt with it graciously.

Meh…the whole "Palin SNL" thing is getting a bit overdone. I think if they do it too much, the impact will wear off. But all in all, I thought both Palin skits were mediocre, at best. Although kudos to Amy for being a badass rapper!

Liberals don't think for themselves. And one could argue the same thing about conservatives, but your candidate has a history of 95% of voting on party lines, what does that tell you. Does that mean he thinks for himself, or is he going to talk again about how he is friends with Dick Lugar, a Republican and they worked on one bill together. Look at Illinois where I am from, Obama has made a mess of his home state. He advocated Chicago's sales tax increase and small businesses are closing such an alarming rate that the Mayor is now scrambling to set it right. And Obama wants to do the same thing to our country. And in over ten years of Illinois Obama has the lowest aproval ratings of any US Senator of Illinois. Look at his colleaugues, other Democrats, like Dick Durbin, with high ones. The guy is a do nothing, high taxing mess, and you need to realize that. He's done nothing for Illinois!!!! How is that change???

I wish Palin would have done a funny joke or skit. She was just in them. I loved the rap, it would have rocked if she would have done it.
