Rather than counter what I had to say with more argument of your own for me to think about, you're going to grab onto the one closing line in which I mention that so far, I'm not going to vote. It's my right. I'm registered, but I'm just don't like either side right now, so I've decided that I don't have to support either. I'll still probably trek on down to the elementary school gymnasium to vote, but, I don't see why I should have to feel compelled to vote for someone when I don't want to vote for either. I've watched all of the debates and interviews, read both of the websites (every page no less- I doubt you could claim the same), looked into the histories, and my pros and cons lists are even. So, unless something big happens in the next few weeks, I doubt that view will change much. Are you saying that I'm wrong in looking at both sides with scrutiny before considering a vote in one direction or the other? Or would you rather I follow blindly with unchallenged political dogma and vote by affiliation like most "Democrats" or "Republicans" (assuming that I actually had an affiliation)? In my opinion, it's a lot easier not to be an independent. At least then you don't have to think.

Not really. How are these polls conducted? It's easier for people to blame the government for what's going on in this country during a short telephone poll than for them to try to think who is actually to blame. And you can think Bush for this sharp polarization of this country within the last 8 years. Even if people do know what's going on, it still doesn't dismiss the fact that Bush has the highest disapproval rating for a president.
