so surprising to me how many of you didnt even watch this clip, and listen to an educated man thoughtfully and humanly weigh all of these real issues, and cross a party line in the interest of the world. As he said, its about moving the world forward, not just America, and ushering in a presidency that is inclusive, intelligent and willing to ask questions rather than force the answers down international throats.
He really wasn't joking about the US's lack of intelligence - you guys have a lower literacy rate than most third world countries, and the sad thing is your education levels make the US grade 12 who actually passed unable to qualify for most international post-secondary insitutions, as they are at about a 9th grade level compared to most other countries.
Wake up America. McCain/Palin are relatable? If that doesn't indicate your dire need for education and a global context within which to develop your opinions I don't know what does. It not even about what they have done, its about what they will do and the future of this world. Colin Powell spoke the truth, and searched his values and hopes long and hard - you need to too.
PS. most of the righest and most intelligent countries have a much narrower wealth dispersion, and have government funded post-secondary education to ensure their poulation is well-educated and the per capita income is extremely high as a result. Change will take time, but it is worth it. Your system isnt working anymore.

It's surprising that anyone who can call themself conservative would ever endorse Obama. He's the most liberal senator in congress, running with the 3rd most liberal. He's playing class warfare to win the vote, with his tax plan. Obama loves to say "same ol' Washington politics" when speaking of McCain, yet his middle class tax cut is the same thing Clinton ran with in '92. Once elected Clinton raised taxes, which Obama will be sure to follow. Why would anyone belief Obama would cut your taxes when he's voted to raise taxes 94 times. Apparently Obama beliefs businesses need to be punished with higher taxes. Raising taxes in an economic disaster will prove to be disastorous. More people will get laid off, lose thier jobs, and many business will outsource jobs due to Obama's tax increase. What good is a middle class tax cut when you're unemployed?

People should be scared…vary scared, considering the man has very little executive and political experience and he came out of nowhere and was thrust on the political scene. The public should be asking many questions about a charismatic-eloquent speaker who has very little real-life experience that is running for the most powerful position in the world.

Powell is one of those guys that really does put country first, and in case you don't know your history, has the highest regard for commander in chief and what that position means. Obviously he feels like Barack can do the job - and look dude, barring some big turn around he is going to be YOUR commander in chief too. so enjoy your next 4 years. First off, Im not a dude….secondly, I come to that conclusion because I actually listened to the WHOLE interview with Powell. He stated Obama wasnt ready as far as foriegn policy goes but trusts he will have the right advisors. Thirdly, he ADMITTED that the surge worked, the surge Obama was against. SO..my conclusion that it is because of his color is stated with facts. He wont say its because of his experience. IMO he is a black man who wants to see history made. EOS.

I've always admired Colin Powell. As a white retired person living in Mexico for many years, this American lives better than he could back home. The perspective I have of politics in the states is showing me an ugly stupid "superior" attitude trying to erupt. Racial prejudice = Nazi beginnings. Listening to Obama and Powell talk about what has to be done should tell us that we all have to help pull us back together.
