Check out this video, taken of the two by a Perezcious reader in NYC on Saturday. Tom gives the paps and gawkers a full-on photo shoot, forcing Suri to pose for pics for what seems like forever before entering their car.
He just stands in front of the car, with the door open, happily waiting for everyone to take pics.

How many other kids of celebrities do you see plastered in front of the camera on a DAILY basis? NONE.
I couldn't tell whether most celebrities even have kids and if they do how many they have, whether they are girls/boys. That's because most other people LOVE their children and want to protect them and shelter them from this sort of existence.
Tom Cruise is not famous for anything anymore except for being a weirdo. I highly doubt that he would be hounded by the paps. He pre-arranges all the PR himself. You really thinks its just a coincidence that he and Suri are photographed almost every single day??? Open your eyes…..Tom thinks having his photo made will save what's left of his career.

Also, I know a few little girls who would love to dress like that all the time but mum and dad can't afford it. Why criticise when you don't actually KNOW anything?

I'll agree with those who say that it's kinda hypocritical for Perez to be saying "how sad" given the business that he's in, BUT my son is 2 mos younger than Suri and I don't care how much you can say 'She's getting used to this" or "she's just being shy"; it is a WHOLE LOT of a child this age to take in. My son, who is naturally an outgoing child, still does the 'shy guy' act when first being around people in general (even if he knows them WELL, like his grandparent who he sees on a bi-weekly bias). That's a toddler trait. I feel HORRIBLE for her that she's have to go through that infront of mass people, obviously prolonged by her parents, so strangers can get pictures and be apart of what pushes her parents names out there farther. Some celebs just have this f'd up, false-god thoughts for themselves. As a mother with a 'normal' child that age, I was sick to my stomach. And if you don't have kids, DO NOT even say that "oh, she's used to it". She's not. Especially not at that age.

I don't think Tom did anything wrong, He was nice and respectful to Suri, The paparazzi were waiting for him and snapping pictures every second; and instead of wisking her away or hiding her and scaring her; he very gently said hello to them and picked Suri up, and respectfully posed with Suri for some photos! What was he supposed to do?

Perez, you have a tendency to be very hypocritical. You are the self-proclaimed King of celebrity gossip, but you criticize celebs and their interactions with the paparazzi. Half the people snapping pictures are probably people you know.
Instead of being critical of stars who decide to help children deal with the media maybe you and your affiliates should back off when you see a child around and give them some breathing room.
As a parent I don't see anything wrong with what he did. At least he's making her feel safe and secure while allowing her to adapt to the attention and lack of personal space that she will inevitably deal with for the rest of her life.
If you see such a problem with issues like this perhaps you should close down your site. Then people won't feel the need to videotape celebs and send them to you to be posted.

Hello Retards - FYI - He WAS speaking with someone in the car and the reason he was mellowing out in front of the cameras was so that his daughter would NOT be spooked by the onlookers AND the cameras. Daddy letting her know it's all okay so she would be NOT be freaked out anymore.
