Madonna and Guy Ritchie are getting divorced after nearly 8 years of marriage, and with its impending mudslinging, everyone has something to say about it. Including, but not limited to, adopted son David Banda‘s biological father.
Yohane Banda says he is disappointed to hear that the family is breaking up, expressing concern for his son’s well-being. He says that David appears bewildered amid claustrophobic clusters of photographers and Madonna-wranglers, and that his life would be better back home with him in Malawi with his new wife, new son, and daughter.
David’s biological mother died shortly after his birth and that’s when Yohane placed him in the orphanage that Madonna later fell in love with him at.
Yohane says he feels betrayed because he was assured that his son was going to a stable home.
Divorce is tough on kids, it’s true, but at least he can live without want. Malawai is not equipped with full-time nannies and lots of macrobiotic food!
