I have travelled with him all over, including Guam and Okinawa (White Beach) and know all about Tricare and the monetary difficulties facing the military. I am not trying to dispute your knowledge of the military or antagonize you in any way, but the guys in SWCC and the SEALs that I know all are voting for McCain. They love their jobs and love being deployed. They go nuts when they have to come home and leave their dets overseas. Those are the guys I know. Your friends obviously feel differently. And that is okay. I am just telling you what my personal experience is.

Jeez "go back to ironing your white robe". Not sure who that was directed towards as I was just reading through a few comments. What I can tell you is I too grew up in Ohio and just because alot of us here are conservative and for McCain doesn't mean we are KKK.
I am voting for McCain for various reasons, not just because he's caucasian ( I have a feeling you may be voting for Obama based SOLEY on his race and that is sad. Makes you more a follower and not a leader). Not many people can give me many reasons they are voting for a man who had only been in the senate 100 weeks before launching his presidential campaign. A man who has ties to a man named Ayers who was in fact was domestic terrorist and founder of a group called “Weather Underground”, a man who's minister of 20 years openly displays his hatred for America at the pulpit, a man who wants to add 800 Billion in new social programs, a man who wants to tax small business out of existence in a time when our economy is in trouble (FYI 70% of the economy is small business), a man who wants to tax corporations more so they are forced to take their business to countries such as Ireland where the taxes are only 11%.

You cannot Bring about job growth with increased taxes, basic economics. Obama has no clue about BASIC ECONOMICS. Scary as this is one of the major issues our country faces in the coming years. Obama wants to increase the Gov’t, do you realize when our country was founded Gov’t was supposed to be limited. Reagan sadi it best when he said “Man is never truly free unless Gov’t is limited”. . I think if your really voting for this man you may want to re-read the Constitution as handouts and entitlement programs were never part of it. Our founding fathers are rolling over in their grave at how far we have drifted.
My vote for McCain is because of the issues he believes in like living in a country that is safe free from terrorism, lowering taxes on business to CREATE jobs so companies can AFFORD to keep their business in America, Upholding our CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS as Americans, cutting Gov’t spending, reducing pork on bills so the tax payers can save money, and allowing our God given resources to be utilized to save Americans money at the pumps and on their home gas bill. I will always trust a man who served over 5 years in a POW camp to protect our freedoms as Americans over a man with questionable ties that the liberal media won’t even look into.

I seriously don't get America's hate for big government. It makes no sense at all. Social health care is great!!! If I get sick, I can go to the hospital and get better (and i dont need insurance!! and I don't pay a cent). yet….you have one of the worst health care systems in the western world (#37) but you don't want the government help you to change it? Does that make any sense?
So don't call me uneducated. If you watched the last presidential debate, you would learn that your education system is one of the worst. So it's kinda funny to call someone who has gone through a better education system, uneducated. That's all!

Here is my view on health care-
More government will NEVER be a good solution, throwing money at problems don't solve issues. Although the Liberals would love you to believe that.
The only charge in the constitution for the federal government is to defend and protect the American People.
So here is the problem with a socialized healthcare and any other government program for that matter.
Name one thing the government does well or efficiently?
You think health care is screwed up now? The reason it is screwed up now is because the government won't get out of it. They have again stuck their nose where it doesn't belong.
Again what is the Federal Governments only charge in the constitution? (See above)
So what would happen if the federal government took over? You would automatically see a giant building built to house many people that don't work hard and love to spend other people's money. Where would this money come from? Your tax dollars! It will cost 10 times what is does now and we will receive much lesser care. Think …."going to the DMV to see your doctor".

What makes America Great is Freedom not government! What makes America great is capitalism! Freedom and capitalism solves everything. It unleashes the power and creativity of people. We have struggled because the politicians want to dictate and interfere with capitalism.
I know some of you out there have concerns about what we as America need to provide for our people, but keep in mind a government does not exist to provide services.
We as a people and a private industry can provide better, more competitive and cost effective solutions to our problems than government and we all need the politicians to get out of our way.

Wow… you really think you are so smart, but if you actually read anything I wrote, you would realize that I do not live in the U.S. So if you would like me to send you a copy of my degree from Dalhousie University, I would be more than happy. Or would you like a copy of my Lycee diploma from France?
It is the governments duty to take care of the people. That is the fundamentals of almost ALL western countries. Canada, the UK, France, etc… are proof that social healthcare and education works. When I get sick, I go to the hospital, with great doctors and great service, and I get better. If a homeless person gets sick, they can get treatment. It doesn't matter if you have insurance or not. What would you say to the 50million people in the US that don't have insurance? Tough luck?
Also, it is because of the government's regulations on the housing industry that Canada is not in the same mess you guys are in. We simply buy the houses we can afford!
Actually…. it is because of the "big" government that Canadians get paid more (because the government makes sure each person is paid well), work less (the gov makes sure we get compensated for overtime and get more vacation days), are much more productive, and live longer (thank you heath care!) Look those facts up. Seriously.

Amazingly…I get all this and I don't have to deal with any politicians or bureaucrats. America's problem is you let greedy people run the country (Insurance companies, drug companies, oil companies) when the government should be stepping in to stop it.

It a true democratic society. The government should fear the people. Not the other way around. I am free. The government does not control any aspect of my freedom. Actually… I am more free than you. I can go to Cuba. I can make a phone call and not worry about the government tapping it. Do you support the Patriot Act? Because that is an infringement on your freedom.
