The Republicans PAID $150,000 to Make Sarah Palin and Family Look 'Good'

Sarah Palin can take her "I'm for the regular Joe" chatter and shove it!
According to reports, the Republican National Committee has forked over more than $150,000 to dress and accessorize Palin and her family since her 'surprise' pick in August.
This shiz is for reals, y'all!
The expenses were found in the RNC’s September monthly financial disclosure report under “itemized coordinated expenditures.”
It’s a report that typically records expenses for direct mail, telephone calls and advertising. But, as of September, there was a new category of spending, “campaign accessories.”
Here's a little taste of the money the Republicans lavished on Sarah Palin to make her 'hot':
Saks Fifth Avenue (St. Louis and New York): $49,425.74.
Neiman Marcus (Minneapolis): $75,062.63
The RNC also spent $4,716.49 on hair and makeup through September - after reporting no such costs in August.
A spokeswoman for the Republican party declined to answer specific questions about the shopping tab, including whether it was necessary to spend that much and if shopping for the vice presidential nominee was ongoing.
The only reply they would give was, “The campaign does not comment on strategic decisions regarding how financial resources available to the campaign are spent."
But, hours after the story first broke and legal issues were raised, the campaign issued a new statement:
"With all of the important issues facing the country right now, it’s remarkable that we’re spending time talking about pantsuits and blouses. It was always the intent that the clothing go to a charitable purpose after the campaign."
Uh-huh.
Regular Americans are hurting and Sarah blows $70K from Republican donors at Neimans.
A review of similar records for the campaign of Democrat Barack Obama and the Democratic National Committee turned up no similar spending.
Sarah should give Michelle Obama a call. Mrs. Obama does it like the regular American.
She knows how to look good on a budget!

Seriously, I may get bashed because I am Republican, but has anyone noticed that these elections are like popularity contests, like it was in high school? It's bullshit. Who cares if they spent campaign money on styling Palin and her fam. When someone gets into the Hollywood business, don't these major studios or music companies spend a fortune on creating a style for the star to be? What's the difference? And apparently there was no such spending from the Obama camp. Ok…so do you really think the Democrats are such angels? There is corruption all throughout the government, it's sick. The President isn't even really running the show anyway, it's the Congress and Senate. The President is like their spokesperson (to an extent, I do realize the Pres does have some power), and takes the criticism from everyone. So people, my point is to not get so caught up in the superficial crap about the candidates. Do your homework, learn about the issues, and the beliefs of each candidate on these issues, and vote for the person who best fits your beliefs. Word!
"Mrs Obama" is NOT a regular American. she lives in a multimillion dollar house and isn't proud of her country. She was an affirmative action candidate who road her brother's coattails into Princeton, made mediocre grades and still got into Harvard law school. The regular American doesn't have those perks.

I am a registered Democrat, so don't go all ape on me people. Just THINK about it. A young woman was about to finish her first year of college. Like so many others her age, she considered herself to be a very liberal Democrat, and among other liberal ideals, was very much in favor of higher taxes to support more government programs (read "redistribution of wealth"). She was deeply ashamed that her father was a rather staunch Republican, a feeling she openly expressed. Based on the lectures that she had participated in, and the occasional chat with a professor, she felt that her father had for years harbored an evil, selfish desire to keep what he thought should be his. One day she was challenging her father on his opposition to higher taxes on the rich and the need for more government programs. She believed that the self-professed objectivity proclaimed by her professors had to be the truth … and she indicated so to her father. He responded by asking how she was doing in school. Taken aback, she answered rather haughtily that she had a 4.0 GPA, and let him know that it was tough to maintain, insisting that she was taking a very difficult course load and was constantly studying, which left her no time to go out and party like other people she knew. She didn't even have time for a boyfriend, and didn't really have many college friends because she spent all her time studying.
Her father listened and then asked, "How is your friend Audrey doing?" She replied, "Audrey is barely getting by. All she takes are easy classes, she never studies, and she barely has a 2.0 GPA. She is very popular on campus; college for her is a blast. She's always invited to all the parties and lots of times she doesn't even show up for classes because she's too hung over." Her wise father asked his daughter, "Why don't you go to the Dean's office and ask him to deduct 1.0 off your GPA and give it to your friend who only has a 2.0. That way you will both have a 3.0 GPA and certainly that would be a fair and equal distribution of GPA." The daughter, visibly shocked by her father's suggestion, angrily fired back, "That's a crazy idea, and how would that be fair?! I've worked really hard for my grades! I've invested a lot of time, and a lot of hard work! Audrey has done next to nothing toward her degree. She played while I worked my tail off!" The father slowly smiled, winked and said gently, "Welcome to the Republican party."
